Its Mexican Ralphs yo we all know. They have some stuff on sale but its got one foot on both sides of the door so no real reason to go. Some stuff is super cheap but the specialty pan or any type of deli selection is lacking. This is for any location. Not a bad store just no real reason to specifically come here. I love this market but always have so much anxiety trying to get into the store and back to my car without being harassed. There's always transient types asking me for money or if they can wash my car windows or help me with my kids which is just overstepping boundaries. After I say no thank you they still linger and follow you and wait for you to come back to your car. I always try to go to the other location but since this one is close to my house I sometimes bite the bullet and go. Other than that there's always a few more obstacles... people selling things or needing signatures. The good thing is they do have a police cam but I feel like they need parking lot security clearing out the loiters and keeping the customers safe and not harassed every time going in and out. Sad to say I've gotten used to it but I got a reality check today when this lady next to me said she would wait for me to load my car and kids before she pulls off because she didn't like how the guy hanging in the parking lot ("washing windows") was watching me. Literally just feet away and WATCHING MY EVERY MOVE! I don't experience this anywhere else just here for some reason. I have never had an issue grocery shopping at any location until the Pandemic. So to all my fellow yelppies.... please stay safe and sanitized! Parking has never been an issue, however you do have to worry about the run-away carts hitting/scratching your precious whip. Prior to COVD this location was also fully stocked with all your produce, meats, spirits and toiletries. Isles are wide enough for two carts to sit side-by-side while you look at one item and the customer next to you can look at another. I always come here for my groceries, never really have an issue. Today I picked up a few canned sodas, they had a deal going on. Anyways, I ring them up and the cashier didn't want to scan them? Normally, at any grocery store I've ever been to, they scan the items for you, including the soda cartons. This cashier, I think I saw her tag say Jumangi or Jamangi, this lady refused to scan my sodas. She wanted me to pass them to her, one by one instead of coming over to the side and scanning them. Be very careful when buying your gift cards here at this location. My boss gifted me a gift card from target, and it was a scam gift card. The gift card was tampered with, and when I tried to load it onto my account, it was empty. I brought it up to my boss, and she said that the cashier actually went to the back to grab the gift card because this was happening, very, very suspicious. I been coming to this food for less since I was 10 years old , today some new security accused me and my brothers of stealing at self checkout when she seen us pay , meanwhile lots of people go out through the back door stealing with hundreds of dollars worth of food while I am paying for 10-15 dollars worth of drinks they need to prioritize on the real thieves read more

Went here last Saturday 3/28 and want to give a huge kudos to the store and the employee who was wiping the shopping carts outside before giving them to the customer!! Very much appreciated! It's close by, has most of everything I need, prices are decent. The parking can suck sometimes. (Lots of carts waiting to ding your car) In short not at all too bad. Staff is really cool. Love Food 4 Less! Great deals & wide selection on groceries & brands. They have a butcher shop & bakery with awesome specials for your next BBQ party. The area can be kinda fast paced on the edge kinda hood but you'll usually be okay. The parking lot is big. Best time to go is late at night or early in the morning. If you go during rush hours be ready to expect long lines, parking lot feuds & am array of different characters inside. read more

Not a bad place to get meat, surprisingly. I decided to make a slow cooker pot roast and needed a 7-bone roast for my project. I had no idea how rare it was to find this cut around town. I started off at a local Albertsons and they said they typically didn't carry that cut except for the holidays. I won't bore with too many details on the odyssey that followed, but I ended up going to eight other supermarkets (Ralphs, Smart & Final, Sprouts, specialty shops, etc.) and no one had the roast I needed. I finally gave in and went to Whole Foods thinking that surely they would have it, what with their fancy butchers on site and whatnot. But alas, Whole Foods also had no stock of a 7-bone roast. However, one of the butchers at Whole Foods recommended that I go to this Food 4 Less, and that he would go to this location himself when he'd need specific cuts of meat. The store didn't have the cut in their display, but unlike other places, they were able to cut one out for me. It took me nearly two hours of driving around like I was on a meat scavenger hunt, but it was worth it to find this gem for whatever cut of meat I might need. And an assist to Whole Foods for the tip. read more

I like coming here to shop the only thing that sucks is that the parking lot is always full of trash,smelly, and have those dam beggars by the exit or walking around the parking lot. I wish they would do something about it like call the cops to have them removed. Other then that the prices are great and you can get great deals. I HATE this grocery store. The only reason I shop here is because my only other option in Wilmington is El Super. I came on a Saturday (worst mistake) ... it is so crowded I can barely get through the store. My complaint however, is about the staff here. RUDE. My cashier was Monique L. On register 5. I had a cart full of groceries and she didn't ask me if I needed bags. And I always forget to ask. After I swiped my card for payment, but before the transaction was complete, I remembered and asked if I could purchase bags. She looked at me with a dead eye and called someone to cover her. Her shift was over. The next girl came up and Monique L. Says 'she's all yours' and walks away. Next girl starts ringing the next customer up. I exclaimed excuse me! I asked for bags? Am I supposed to carry these groceries on my back or what? She tells me I can walk 4 registers down and pay for them. ....this whole situation really annoyed me. ---Monique L. I went into this location yesterday with my brother because I was rushing to grab some food to bring to my holiday party. I have never been to a Food 4 Less grocery store and now I know why. I'm more of a trader joes, whole foods kind of gal. There weren't too many options for me being vegan, but I managed to grab chips, dip, fruit, and veggies. I also picked up some sandwiches for my brother to snack on as well. We both ended up not feeling well after eating the food items I purchased. I called the store today to get a refund and complain and was told i would have to drive all the way back there to file a complaint. I asked them to either email or fax the form to them, and they told me it was not an option. I told them I refused to drive over 30 minutes just to do this. The manager at this location told me to call the corporate office and see if there was anything else that could be done. I called them and they gave me the same advice. This company must be extremely ghetto if they don't have a fax or email to work off of. I won't be shopping here again. read more

Food 4 less is a good store with one exception.... They are always finding some sort of stupid excuse about coupons. I have taken like 12 coupons there, for free sodas, free dog food, etc all manufacture original coupons. Every time they manage to waste 20 minutes of my time by calling the manager or saying the coupon isn't valid , etc. Today I wanted to redeem a bag of Pedigree dog food coupon, they simply told me that we don't accept the coupon here because our machine can't accept it. The fact was the machine had accepted it and I was simply being charged for taxes, the cashier talked with the manager and she said nope. I have used the exact same coupon other times, but this time they wanted to complain and not give it to me, so I left and used it at Albertsons where they accepted it quickly, had very friendly workers, and most of all knew how to use their own computers and don't discriminate or say they all of a sudden cant accept coupons; therefore, this was the last draw and Food 4 less in Wilmington receives 1 star on my behalf...
