We love El Taco Feliz! We've been to the restaurant twice now with large groups (about 10 people each time), and both visits were fantastic. They took our reservation, had our table ready when we arrived, and the service started right away. Shorty, the owner or manager, is incredibly welcoming and funny -- it truly feels like you're a guest at his home. The homemade chips and salsa are always fresh, and my favorite dish is the fajitas -- perfectly seasoned and generous enough for two people! Our most recent visit was for my son's birthday, and it couldn't have been more fun. They played a lively happy birthday song, brought out a dish of ice cream topped with six assorted churros and a sparkler on top -- such a great touch! Always great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Whether you visit the restaurant or the taco truck a couple blocks away, El Taco Feliz is a must!! Enjoy.

Steak tacos on flour tortillas. It's missing one because my oldest son already ate it.

We went to the restaurant, not the taco truck. We walked in at 8:00 on a Friday night and nobody was there. Why? I don't know! The service was great and the food was delicious! The chips came with 3 salsas, 2 red and one green. Each one had a little spice, but not so much that you'd want to cry. We ordered Cokes, and they came out in cans--just so you know. The dinners all come with rice and beans, and the tacos come with your choice of cilantro and onion, or lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I had the tostadas, which were super crispy and topped with fresh avocado. Our son ordered from the kids' menu and got 2 tacos and rice for $6. We didn't get any, but a sign said they had $5 margaritas. Next time! We spent about $70 for 4 adult meals and one kid's meal. We will definitely be going back.

Wow. Definitely a great experience. Service was excellent. Food was even better! Only had a 5 minute wait. Also had the elotes... and OMG. It was soooo GOOD! Definitely recommend!

Food for the soul. Decided to stop here for lunch here before heading back home to Indiana after I read some great reviews. The mango marg was on point. The chips were served warm and the guac was the best I've had in a really long time! It's all about having the perfect amount of cilantro. The birria tacos were awesome. The service was fast a great. Lastly anytime I get my plate and see extra limes I didn't have to ask for it immediately makes me happy. The best part is I have leftovers for dinner! The more I come visit, I am coming to the conclusion that Wisconsin has better Mexican food than we have in Indiana. I had: Mango margarita Chips & Guacamole Elote Birria tacos

Ok I did the test ballon work lunch with 5 carefully selected people before I do a larger work lunch to get some feedback, I found the food to be tasty but we all have different tastes so I wanted some general reactions. I included two difficult eaters who change the meals/ingredients and an outside contractor working in the building with the happy go lucky eater next to me an me again. I called the truck first to see if they could mark names on each persons food order with the I don't want this crap on it people and the guy said yes he could. Yes he did and got all the special requests correct, thank you. We ordered burritos and tacos with the Al Pastor as the choice meat of choice to my surprise from all but one who wanted a steak burrito who did the usual special requested changes. I can only comment on my meal which was the Al Pastor burrito with cilantro/onion added for that authentic taste which was very tasty and filled with nice chunks of moist pork. The burrito was big but not super big with ample sour cream, pork, beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, cilantro and if the cheese was in it I couldn't tell but it was tasty. I liked how it was cut in half which made it easier to handle and eat. When we all gathered later and everyone said how good it was with all the special requests correct which was nice because when it goes wrong I hear about it. I actually liked the burrito more than the tacos from this place because they didn't skimp on the ingredients. Other employees who saw the food texted me with how good the burritos looked with thier comments but unfortunately it was a test lunch with limited invites. I'm sure that this will replace our other taco truck work lunch spot because it's just a little tastier and closer, see my pictures.

I've been meaning to check this taco truck for months after hearing people talking about it. I was impressed on how fast that I received my order of three tacos after noticing that people had called ahead their orders. I'd definitely be back in the future since this is a " permanent " location for this taco truck. On a side note as I was reading what others had to say, several people were commenting about the other location

The almighty cabeza taco! So meaty and juicy. If you've never tried it - you should.

Bottom line - this may be among the best tacos in the city. Definitely north of the 94. Go there. If you're looking for a dope, traditional taco truck at a solid price point, I can't imagine you finding much better. After living near the border and getting to spend more time in and around Mexico, it kinda ruined my ability to enjoy the mass-produced fast food crap and some of the bland sit down pseudo-mexican restaurants in the same way that I used to. So it's super exciting to find a legit truck right here on the north side of MKE. Let me get into some specifics here. First, the asada is a great, nicely-crispy option for the steak lover. The pastor option also really hit the spot for that roasty hit of pork I needed. I know it's not a very common option around here, but I also highly recommend the cabeza (aka meat from the head of the cow) for those interested in exploring the menu further. If you haven't had it, it's a very meaty option that's just a bit fattier/juicer alternative to the more crispy asada steak. (I prefer these in taco vs a burrito, but my fam can't get enough of the giant cabeza burritos here.) I also enjoyed the lengua (aka cow tongue) for those who may be more "adventurous." They chop it up pretty well, so if you're so inclined to give a lengua taco a shot, you totally should! It's also just a great sign whenever a place has those kinds of options on the menu - and it gives you a chance to enjoy some variety. Along with the tacos (which are served traditionally - 2 soft tortillas with onion, cilantro, lime - tho I've heard cheese and other toppings are available on request) and very generous burritos, their tostada are also VERY dank and a pretty fine value. Lastly, if you want a side dish, I'd encourage you to give the elote a try. It's basically just roasted corn with a bit of chili powder, mayo, lime, and a sprinkle of cheese. It's a great Mexican street snack. (Note that this version is technically served esquites-style in a bowl instead of true elote style which is typically on the cob) I think there may be multiple trucks now (sign of success?) - the one I went to was parked in the BP on Main st and Rozanne Dr in Menomonee Falls. Highly recommended.

Awesome tacos. Two steak and one chicken.

Yep, 5 star review! Fourth time here in a week, yes, it is that good!! Nothing like $2.50 tacos and being stuck at home. The menu may seem limited, but for the quality and price of their offerings, totally awesome. Their most expensive item is their burrito at $8.50, which is giant, at least two meals for an average appetite. El Taco Feliz is now located at the BP on the corner of Main Street and Rozeanne Dr in Menomonee Falls. Their food truck has been a bright spot while being on lock down during the "safer at home" order, especially with myself and the wife working from home. If you have read my previous reviews of other restaurants, a five star review is rarely given. You need to check out El Taco Feliz, it may be your new taco stop.

Carne Asada tacos, enchiladas with spicy verde sauce and Mexican corn with Casamigos margaritas!

Honestly with all the restaurants I go to I don't remember if the interior has changed from the previous restaurant but it's fresh/clean looking with a nice little bar on the side. My service was excellent and I was seated right away with chips, salsa, water and a menu. The chips were warm, thin, fresh, crisp and seasoned nicely with a nice corn taste that was the quintessential corn chips for salsa in my opinion. The salsa was fresh with crisp/chunky vegetables and once again what in my opinion makes for a perfect salsa with a heat not detectable to my pallet but my nose was slightly running which was odd because my mouth was not hot, maybe all the hot and spicy food that I eat all the time has numbed me. I would do a menu item that I never do which was breakfast for lunch that was the chilaquiles plate with steak. It's two eggs cooked hard, thin steak, beans , tortillas sautéed in sauce topped with cilantro, onions and sour cream. The plate looked amazing and a huge portion by the way. The beans were loose with whole beans and topped with shredded cheese. The eggs tasted fresh, cooked over hard. The thin steak had a slight grill flavor. The sautéd tortillas I opted for the red sauce was delicious with the thick red sauce covered in cilantro, onion and sour cream that was delicious and the star of the plate. Overall was it the best Mexican food that I have had, no and the particular plate you order can affect a review in the end but I will say I have a new fondness for Mexican breakfast. Overall my breakfast for lunch was very good even though it wasn't seasoned like the chips but it was a better experience than my review for the last place 12 years ago and I would actually go back to the new restaurant vs the old that was once and done.
