Carnitas nachos, no onion no cilantro or salsa (for my kids) and a asada huarache was so f-ing delicious, my mind is blown.

This truck is soooooo good!!!! We have a taco stand near our house, and this place is a little further, but so worth it! First of all, they are so nice! Very kind and they get our order right every time ( my kids are picky). My kids don't like anything, but they love their chicken nachos! My husband likes their pastor, lengua, and carnitas tacos. I love their asada huarache and it's seriously the best I have ever had. The asada was not fatty and so good and the green salsa was fire!!!!

    Cabeza and lengua tacos!

There's a dearth of food places on this small strip of Arcadia, and this no-frills taco truck brings in some hot and fresh tacos late on Thursday to Sunday. This unpretentious joint serves up a menu of your basic fast food commonly found at Mexican food stands. The LENGUA stood out with a tender texture out of the meat menu, but the CABEZA is something you don't see often enough I often ended up grabbing one. Every soft taco is sprinkled with generous toppings of ciltrano and onions. The to-go is wrapped conveniently with foil and a prepackaged baggie of lemon, radish, and sauce for your convenience as well. The meat could really use more flavoring, but at $1.50 a taco, it's affordable for both speed and quality. Street parking is available nearby and trash can for eating at the truck. You can even call you in your order in advance before picking up! However, do expect service to be minimal but fast, and payment is cash only.

Was driving around looking for a taco truck cuz I've been craving for some good tacos. Usually don't go back to the same taco truck because I like to try different ones to see who makes the best meat and hot sauce. Food: tacos are very flavorful, tortilla not dry at all kinda reminds me of king's tacos. The only bad part is the excessive amount of oil that was dripping down the burrito, but hey I can't complain cuz that's probably what makes it sooooo good (can't have the best of both worlds) sauce: Im a red sauce type of girl, but funny thing is their green sauce is way spicier than their red one, i figured it out when I ran out of the red sauce and had to use the green one it has a really good kick. Location: at first to me it was very odd to find a taco truck there. If it wasn't for Yelp, I don't think I'd stop to try it because the truck is parked in front of two vacant properties, traffic is flowing but not a lot of people stops by. You can pretty much find parking anywhere on the street.. Overall, good experience, yummy and inexpensive tacos, so If you are driving by, make sure to try cuz it's worth every penny.

Finally decided to give this taco truck a try after passing it like a hundred times. I usually go to Tacos la Dona on Duarte when I want tacos from a truck in this area and I should have stuck with Tacos la Dona. This truck isn't bad but just not that good. Tried a little bit of everything and the only good thing I had was the al Pastor. The asada and cabeza was ok, the carnitas was dry and the vampiro was just a normal taco with cheese in it. So you can give them a try since there aren't really any taco truck options in the area. But if you can drive an extra 7 minutes then I would do Tacos la Dona off Duarte in Monrovia.

Carne asada tacos better than their pork

The Carne Asada tacos are not bad at all. Their beef was plentiful and the tortillas were so soft when I bit into it and it tasted like corn tortillas. The price was not listed on the truck anywhere, but I calculated my tacos tonight were 0.94 cents each! Pretty good deal for a Friday night. Unsure of the prices on Tuesday's though. Saw a good little line forming and I had to try it out to know. The only con is it took them a while to make the tacos, slow service. Also one more thing I dislike their pork, not yummy. So stick with carne asada beef!!

So on my way to go for a bike ride one night last week I see this itty bitty taco trailer on Live Oak Blvd in a car wash. My immediate thought is that I am going to have to come here on the way back from my ride... so yeah I was bad and got a couple of tacos at 8:30 after my bike ride... Pro Tip: You cant wash your car and grub at the same time, the Taco Trailer shows up when the Car Wash it yourself spot is closed. So I roll into the lot, park in no defined space (not that there is on to start with), and stroll over to order some yummy yums (I hope). Well they had my tacos ready for to go in the blink of an eye. I only was able to upload one pic of the taco trailer while waiting. Pro Tip #2: Cash only and they do not have an ATM on site! As soon as I get home I open up that bag of hopefully delicious tastiness. So what do I find? Those PUNK ARSE SOBs tossed a whole bunch of raw onions on with a tiny bit of cilantro, I had asked for CILANTRO ONLY! Is it that hard to understand? Ohhhh well.. moving on I get the onions off and realize that these are the mini 3" tortilla shell tacos. *shrugs* that ends up being a good thing, I don't need to eat that late at night let alone a bunch of tacos. Even if tacos are heavenly delightful. Pro Tip #3: Tacos are cheap here. Only $1 ea! I got a Carne Asada and an Al Pastor. Both were very good and quite tasty. The small tortillas were packed full of meat. Both meats were well seasoned and tasted like they were properly prepared. The red sauce was a good complement to them both, but I preferred the taste of the food without the red sauce quite a bit. However the red sauce here was quite tasty and I was almost ready to drink it =P So if you are bored and need a taco trailer to help fill you up, this is a good place to go. I would have gone for a 5* except the tacos were too small...

Carnitas Nachos with everything (except beans)

Came here with NH since she was craving nachos. El Taco Taco is a taco truck located on the corner of Live Oak and Mayflower where there is a car wash. I find the location a little odd but I guess it works for them. You can even call for takeout if you don't want to wait there (which is useful when it's cold). Their menu consists of tacos, burritos, huaraches, quesadillas, vampiros, mulitas, tortas, Mexican nachos, and happy dogs (I don't even know what some of these items are!). Cash only of course. We got their Mexican nachos with Carnitas (instead of the usual Carne Asada), with everything minus beans. You can get it either Mild or Spicy... we went with mild (for me) and got hot sauce on the side (for NH). It took a while for us to get our food, and it felt like forever since we were waiting in the cold. But the nachos were cheap considering the portion size, and more importantly they tasted really good. I personally won't be making a second trip just because I seriously am never in this area (and don't consider it worth the drive), but I think it's a decent option for those who are actually in this area and craving Mexican food.

    Al Pastor
    Sal M.

Tried this place out and the Al Pastor is great, the Carne Asada is basic, and their pollo is a bit dry. Had 4 tacos and a quesadilla. Maybe try their cabesa tacos next time in town.

The tacos are great ! They aren't greasy or have so much fat like other places, they just give too little amounts of salsas for tacos.

Lo and behold, thanks to Christina the business exists on here and has been christened "Jiang Xiang Bing Guy"! Although he was working solo that day, when I decided to return on an empty stomach, he had an assistant helping with seasoning and chopping up the 酱香饼. There were about five folks waiting by the time I got there Sunday evening. The guy with the blue UCLA hoodie was purposefully putting on a show, since he had two phones set up for streaming. Every now and again, when he gets a request from someone, he would say "OK no problem!" and continues with kneading, rolling, and transferring the dough to the big ol' frying machine. At $10 per order, perhaps a part of the cost is the spirited mini-interactions. After paying via Venmo, I showed the gal my phone. 他是老板 she said jokingly as she handed me the food. I had mine mild, and honestly it was a delightfully crispy and savory snack for a cold winter evening.

Intrigued and a lover of street foods, I went last night to check it out hoping he was at the same spot and he was! (Honestly San Gabriel Superstore parking lot be popping with bomb street food stalls and trucks over these past years). The guy was calling his food a Chinese pizza but it's actually a Chinese street food called Jiang Xiang Bing(酱香饼) which basically means "saucy pancake". If you can't speak Chinese(don't worry he does understand English though but he spoke to me in Mandarin by default lol), just give him $10 and he will give you a portion. If you don't have cash, he has QR codes for digital payments and once it goes through you can hear his phone notification from his car. When he's done making the bread and ready to chop it, he will ask you how spicy you want it. You can say "xiao la" for mild or say yes and nod your head for the regular spicy lol. The pan fried flat bread was crispy and the sweet and spicy soy bean sauce really went well with it, I'd get it again!!!

This place serves fast food Chinese style dishes that you can see, you can also order dishes à la carte but it's easy to just do the item combo deal (comes with rice/noodles and soup). I like seeing all the dishes displayed, the place looks better than before and less crowded of things in the back. They changed the menu display as well and it looks much simpler. For $15 I got 4 item combo (chicken, rice noodles, pork stew, eggplant). No drinks. I asked for noodles and rice (if you ask for extra rice instead it's $2 extra). So total was around $17. First, dining in means you get a tray with a pate of all the foods rather than a to go box. We ate at a table and they had extra bowls and cups for water if you ask. I think the noodles and rice were too hard or al dente, must be because it dried out from staying out too long(?). The chicken was the best dish, it was on the bone with a sweet and salty sauce which my son ate some too! Pork stew had radishes and was pretty good (just lots of bones so be careful). The eggplant was soft and flavorful from soaking up the sauce, a little spicy but not enough for me to avoid. The rice noodles (called ants climbing tree ? in mandarin) were a little spicy and also dry, but because it is mixed with the other dishes in the plate it eventually sailed up the liquid and rehydrated. The soup was vegetable soup? It tastes like water, might be to cleanse the palate instead of a soup. Overall, I liked the food, it was still good and I would come again for a quick meal!
