dry and no toppings?? It was so disappointing :((. I didn't eat it but from the other four, it was DRY, flavorless, and did not come with any toppings. Wait was long. Staff were nice but for the price. IT WAS DISGUSTING. I got : - 12 Carne Asada Tacos : Dry, Flavorless, Tortilla was dry as well. 0/5 Stars *** 1 Star because : - welcoming staff - dry tacos - no toppings added even when i asked for some - long wait

Upon a recommendation from a dear old friend, we decided to meet up here to catch up on old times since there are much fewer opportunities and options to socialize these days. They are located at the street curb in front of the ALDI parking lot on Huntington Drive. When looking up the Yelp page for this truck, it took me a few extra seconds since the name and logo were sort of worn out. They already had people parked by the truck awaiting their 5pm opening for the evening, so I figured they have some reputation towards more regular customers. Already having been to a couple taco trucks since moving to LA, I have been gradually broadening my horizon in terms of good eats, especially taco trucks. We enjoyed the tacos outside by our cars. I got 2 tripas, 2 lenguas, and 2 cabezas. Each seemed to have so much stuff in/on them along with salsa and lime wedges on the side. I definitely enjoyed to spicy kick to them. Unlike what a couple people might say, the tacos were actually not dry nor flavorless. I got a few to-go for my girlfriend at home. She is much more sensitive to spice. Unlike me, she didn't prefer these tacos, so I gladly finished the rest for her. Each taco currently costs $1.50. Parking: Plenty. There is a wide range of bushes, so you'll need to walk around them to get to the truck. Or just walk through them like a beast. FYI: - Pizzas have toppings. This is a TACO truck. - If Taco Bell is your point of reference when it comes to tacos, please throw that whole perception out the window. - The more-commonly purchase tacos seem to be ready in less time.

My "taco" the food truck operator scammed me with (just grilled onions)
    C C.

Thieves: Ordered a quesadilla (in addition to 2 tacos and an agua fresca. I'm sure they made plenty of profit from me). Price clearly marked as $6 for a quesadilla. Thief charged me $8. Tried to get away with it by not giving out itemized receipts. Told him the price on the side of his van. He said he didn't care what his posted sign stated. He'd still charge me $8. Kept on threatening me in not giving me anything and saying "you still want your tacos?" then not replying when saying I'd take a refund if he was offering it. This thief was just saying he'd just refuse to give me my tacos if I asked for the correct quesadilla price apparently. And that's what this thief finally ended up doing. Made a show of giving me $2 but when I got to my car found out 1 of my 2 "tacos" was just grilled onions wrapped in foil to look like a taco as as some sort of petty revenge. Jerk food truck operator.

A couple other yelp reviews mentioned this being one of the best taco trucks in the area, considering there aren't many around...I can't say they're wrong. But overall, I'm giving this truck 2 stars based on their customer service and the grilled onions that came with the food. Husband and I tried the lengua, cabeza, and asada tacos. I also tried a chorizo mulitas. Husband gave his tacos (lengua & cabeza) a 2/5 because the meat was bland and dry but they gave a lot of meat. The Asada taco 2/5, as another reviewer mentioned was more like ground meat rather than steak. The chorizo mulitas 2/5 had great texture but was extremely oily. Unfortunately, their red salsa was bland. It had no spiciness to it at all and was lacking in flavor. But on a good note, the grilled onions that come with your food was pretty tasty!

This is a chain food truck. Came to this location because it was closer to where I was. Flavors of the food were consistent. However, I like the food in the San Gabriel location better because it was less oily. My favorite is the cabeza mulitas. They are very generous with the meat and cheese. Price was very reasonable. Mulitas is $2.5 each. Two mulitas would get me well stuffed. I love street food, and this is one of my favorite street food in town. I would have given them 5 stars if the food was less oily.

Service was good... Didn't take too long, there was customers ahead of me. The beans have flavor but super dry!!! I brought my food home and combined the rice and beans added some cheese and water to bring back life. Salsa good. Price is comparable for the items. $15 for 3 big tacos and rice/beans. Ask for quacamole ... I spent 30 on 2 plates.

I came here for mulitas which is cheese and meat in between fried tortillas. These are pretty tasty bc you can't go wrong with that crunchy bite with oozy cheese and meat. I used the red salsa but wish it was spicier. The price is 2.50 each and it's a good deal. I got chorizo and carne asada and I enjoyed it very much

I usually order tacos at Mexican food trucks but there were so many reviews raving about the mulitas. I just had to try them! I tired the asada, al pastor, and chorizo. I personally thought the asada was the best meat and chorizo a close second. I really appreciate that one tortilla is a little crunchier than the other making it easy to pick up. Definitely will be return to try the cabeza. Just a reminder that this a CASH ONLY establishment.

I've driven past this truck a few times at night and was eager to try it. I finally had a chance to visit for dinner today and I'm happy to report that this is a delicious and affordable place to eat! Even better news is that I heard this will be a permanent location for them! They offer a wide variety of tacos that are reasonably priced at $1.25. I also tried their mulitas ($2.00), and those were very delicious (fried looking quesadilla with meat). On the menu they also have quesadillas, burritos, nachos, tortas, etc. The tacos and burritos were not too greasy, which could be good/bad depending on how you're feeling. Great place to eat! Check it out!

If you're going to be cash only, at the very least have bomb food. Mediocre af food, crap service. Don't know why people support this truck.

Food trucks and music on a Thursday night-- how can you beat that?!? One of my girl friends told me…read moreabout this new event (this was the first night) and I figured I'd stop by on my way home. When I arrived there were several people there sitting at tables, eating food and enjoying music. I showed up with my pup (yay! pet-friendly!!) and was greeted by a nice lady that told me about the new event and gave me a bookmark to follow them for updates and the truck lineup for future Thursdays. It's the first Thursday of the month from 5:30-9pm. Every food truck event that I've been to is always packed, so it was nice to be able to look around and choose what I wanted based on the menu and not the line. There were only 4 food trucks there, but they were all great trucks, plus this was the first night and Monrovia is a small town. I was torn between the Los Lobos truck (which I've tried before and has amazing burgers and "wachos") and the Kogi truck, which I've never tried, so I went with the Kogi. I ordered the short rib burrito and it was soooooooooooo delicious!!! Service was friendly and I got my order right away since there was NO LINE!! The only downside is that the menu does not mention what goes inside the burritos (or toppings etc for any of the menu items), which would be helpful for most people when they're looking at the menu. I will definitely come back next month. For now, it's a hidden gem and it is awesome.
