Not your Panda Express when it comes to fast casual Chinese food. I appreciate this place I grew up eating at because of the diversity of items at a somewhat reasonable price. However, every time I eat here, their quality seems to vary and not in a good way. Their way of serving you is super efficient though and it's coupled by the other amazing Asian food stalls within the food court.

    3 items, 1 soup

We got the 3 dishes with soup option and got 2 pan fried buns. The pan fried buns were good. There were a lot of dishes to try, lots of variety to choose from. We got the chow mein, bitter melon with squid, and greens. Big portions. The soup was really plain haha. Overall, great place to try multiple items. I also thought it was really cute how a customer waiting in line and one of the workers greeted each other like buddies. Definitely a frequent customer and bonded. You never know where you make friends! (:

Fish fillet tofu + broccoli + white rice

My Mom and I have been wanting to check out the President Square Food Court located at President Square in Arcadia. We got our chance this past rainy weekend. We go places... rain or shine LOL. We had dinner plans with family that same day so we didn't want to eat too much for lunch. We decided on Hsin Hsin Shau May Deli for a quick lunch. They have trays of Chinese food items with veggies and proteins ready to be selected for your plate... similar to Panda Express concept. They offer individual dishes as well. Btw, they are a CASH ONLY establishment. We went with a 2 items plate with white rice + side of simple broth for $9.98 + tax. They also have 1, 3, and 4 items plate at different prices. There is an option for noodles if you don't want rice. I saw about 20+ variety of items you can choose from. Pretty good choices available (check out my photos). Fish tofu and broccoli were our 2 choices. Fish tofu lacked flavor and spice just a little bit. Good chunks of fish and lots of tofu though. Fresh big, crunchy, and cold broccoli heads. I appreciate the lady staff informing us that the broccoli is a cold item and asked if we were okay with it. Yes, we were okay with it. Thank you Miss! My Mom drank the broth... it was okay. Staff was friendly. Service was very quick. Price is a little bit higher than other similar food vendors. Nice, clean, and comfy interior seating shared with the other businesses in the food court. I appreciate the cleaniness of the food court. There is only one set of trash bins for use... they happen to be near the front of this restaurant. Restrooms are available to the right of Vua Kho Bo (dried snacks and tea vendor). I can see my Mom and I coming back here to eat for a quick lunch in the future. Thanks!

    deep fried stinky tofu
    Melody L.

The only thing my parents and I get here is the deep fried stinky tofu -- and we've been doing it for literally the past 10 years. Inflation has really done a number on the price (hah), but even at the eye-watering $12.59 per plate of stinky tofu nowadays, it's still well worth it. It's pretty much impossible finding stinky tofu anywhere in the U.S., even in the SGV. I think Hsin Hsin Shau May's fried stinky tofu is the best I've had outside of Taiwan (and maybe even better than some of the stalls in Taiwan?). The smell hits you the moment you enter the food court. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love stinky tofu enough that the pungent odor alone makes my mouth water. What makes their stinky tofu so good is that they double-fry the tofu cubes, which are nice and chunky. The exterior is so crackly and crispy, but the tofu inside stays soft, moist, and juicy. The contrast in texture is what makes fried stinky tofu so great. I also like that they use a thick soy sauce rather than the watery kind some stinky tofu places in Taiwan use, which just makes it soggy. The spicy, pickled cabbage on the side could be fresher and tangier (they tend to use wiltier, outer cabbage leaves), but I'm not gonna split hairs here. This is a food court stand, so you order and pay first, and grab whatever table is nearby. They'll call out your order when it's ready. Cash only.

Still a great spot for quick and affordable eats, located in the food court next to 99 ranch market

This shop is a hidden gem in Arcadia. I was recommended their stinky tofu by one of my friends. They didn't disappoint me at all. The tofu was very rich, crisp outside, and soft inside. Although the smell was not as stinky as I expected, I was happy with it. The house-made pickle was also on point. It really enhanced the flavors of the tofu and balanced out the fat. I also ordered the chive pancakes. They are not really pancakes, but they look more like empanadas. They were stuffed with chives and scrambled eggs inside. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of it, because when they fried it, the oil got trapped inside. Grease oozed out when biting. It was very greasy. Make sure you bring cash with you because they don't take credit cards.

$12.57 4 item combo with soup and noodle or rice

$12.59 for 4-item combo with soup and rice/noodle. The hot deli items look more fresh and inviting than Kang Kang. They also have Shanghai fried buns but no one beats Kang Kang for that, even in Shanghai (as sworn by my Shanghainese friend). Cash or Venmo only.

No frills, nonexistent customer service, cash only, big bang for your buck phenomenal food. What else can I say. The eggplant, fried tofu, fish... I'm drooling typing this and I just finished eating it. Great spot to pop in while running errands or grocery shopping at 99. Grab a tea from Sunright and you have a perfect afternoon.

    Braised pork.

2nd time here. Both time disappointed. Very difficult that none of the staff speak even basic English. Only Mandarin. I applaud them for bringing different staff in an attempt to help, but none of them could. Basic.."Do you have rice rolls?" This last time since they couldn't figure what I needed, a guy came out and pointed to a sign.."braised pork". For.the.sake of saving time and least buy something for them trying to help me, I just agreed to purchase that For $8, this is their braised pork in the photo. About 3 tablespoons of minced pork cooked in a brown sauce over bed of rice with blanched broccoli. Nothing special. Bland and didnt look appealing. Ate few tablespoons and tossed out. Have no intentions to go back.

I chose fish and tofu (very mildly spicy) meatball, and chow mein for the 2 item combo.
    Marissa D.

3.5/5 They take cash or Zelle! Food is good value for the money. It's in the greasier side given that it's so cheap, but very convenient and fast if you're in a hurry and want no frills. Each combo comes with a side of broth. The meatballs were very filling and packed with flavor. The lady working there kind of rushes you if you don't know what you want, but whatever! For my 2 item combo I got the fish and tofu, meatball, and chow mein. As of Jan 2026, it was $11.03 with tax.

    Emily T.

$23 for two three item plates with your choice of noodles or fried rice! Cash or Zelle only. I knocked off one star for the inconvenience of not having credit card transactions and the protein selections are limited which is a downside if you prefer a lot of protein options with your meals. There is a lot of vegetarian options though! Noodles are a bit on the dry side but it's not that big of a deal. They are generous with portions and service is really quick. It is located in the cafeteria next to 99 ranch market so it shares a parking lot.

Hsin Hsin Shau May Deli is located inside the President Square food court (same food court as Sunright. Since my husband skipped lunch and I had an early lunch (around 11 am), we decided to grab an early dinner, around 5:30 am on a Saturday. I haven't been to this eatery in such a long time. I think the last time I had them was when I was in junior high or high school. I decided to get their 3 item combo, which comes with your choice of rice or noodle, a small soup and your choice of 3 items from the steam table. I decided to get the tomato egg (a childhood favorite of mine), tofu in a brown sauce and garlic broccoli. I opted for steam rice to go with the sauce from the eggs and tofu. I didn't realize that I had chosen all vegetarian items (I am not vegetarian) but it was all delicious. My husband also liked some of my food (he ended up choosing food from another eatery) and agreed with me that the portion size of this meal is huge. The soup provided is on the bland side but I didn't mind it. My mom asked me to bring her home a 3 item combo as well, so I ended up choosing meatballs, eggplant and chicken. I also got her steamed rice. With the amount of food she got, it was enough to feed her 3 meals. She really enjoyed everything and told me that I will have to come back in the near future. ------------------------------- (Total= $23, CASH ONLY) Service was friendly and quick. The employees helping me on both occasions spoke both English and Mandarin, so you shouldn't have trouble ordering (or you could just point at the items you want, which could work too). There are other items besides dishes you can choose from the steam tray, but a lot of the items are food items that I grew up eating and wouldn't mind coming back here again. Just don't forget though, Hsin Hsin Shau May Deli is CASH ONLY if you do decide to grab a meal here.

There are so many Asian restaurants in the 626 so I have to try them all LOL. I ordered to go for a family of four dinner, you can also eat at the many indoor tables that are available. My order included the usual items, fried rice, chow mein, fish, and teriyaki style chicken. All the food was very good and it was already premade so it was quick service except for the fried rice they had to cook. The only drawback is cash only or you can also Zelle.

It's located inside a busy shopping plaza so parking can be difficult, especially on the weekends. It's open daily 7am-7pm Service was average since this is one of those " pay at the counter for the food and take a seat" kind of place. However, it would have been nice if the cashier told us to grab our soy milk from the fridge or at least handed it to us after we ordered it. We were waiting 15+ minutes for the items only to go up to the counter and realize that we were supposed to get it ourselves but we're never told to do so. It's quite small inside but there is a decent amount of seating Pricing is resonable and nearly everything is under $15! The Curry Pastry ($2.60) was pretty good. It would've been better if it was more crispy but the filling was very delicious and had plenty of curry and beef! The Sweet Soybean Pudding ($4.50 - large) was delicious! Be sure to let them know to put the syrup on the side otherwise they combine it for you! The tofu was very soft, silky, and fresh. I was very relieved that the syrup wasn't too sweet since they combined it inside. The Soymilk ($4.25 - large) was very sweet and didn't have much of a soybean taste. It would have been better if it wasn't so sweet so I could taste more of the soybean. NOTE: they offer salty soymilk and soybean pudding but it's +$0.25 more than the sweet Soymilk and soybean pudding! The Peanut Milk ($4.25) was pretty good. It was very creamy and nutty! If you like peanut butter, then this is a must! It wasn't too sweet and it was very refreshing. Overall, I liked the soybean pudding more than the Soymilk and the prices were reasonable so I most likely will recommend and return!

SinBala - Arcadia…read more SinBala is one of the rare Taiwanese restaurants that has stood the test of time. I grew up eating here. There used to be several locations across Southern California, and I'm glad the Arcadia location is still here. Every visit brings back memories. I come for the Taiwanese classics that are becoming harder to find. The popcorn chicken is still one of my favorites--crispy, fragrant, and seasoned the way Taiwanese street vendors do it. The Taiwanese meatball soup is comforting, and the Taiwanese sausage always reminds me of night markets back home. What I appreciate most is that SinBala doesn't just serve street food. It brings those familiar flavors into a warm, home-style setting. It's nostalgic without trying too hard. Before you leave, save room for dessert. Their shaved ice is a must. I always recommend the brown sugar shaved ice topped with five mochi or boba. It's refreshing, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to a meal. Taiwanese food is often overshadowed by other regional Chinese cuisines, but places like SinBala remind me how unique it really is. Simple, comforting, and full of character.
