I was reminded of them during the evacuation of garden grove and surround areas due to toxic chemical leaks. Banh Khot Lady kindly donated food to the shelters, and I heard they also donated food during the LA Fires. What a kind business. I believe in supporting businesses that support the community. Banh Khot Lady is located in the same small strip mall as Binh Dan. They have limited parking so I actually parked on the streets nearby and walked over. There was 2 small tables outside and a small seating area along the small edge of the front of the store. Their business model seems to be more for to-go orders. They had a lot of party tray options on their menu. In addition to the banh khot, the also have eggrolls here. Yum. And even better is that they have this 5/2 Combo ($13.99) where you can get 5 banh khots and 2 egg rolls with accompanying fresh veggies. What a deal! The cashier was really nice. She warned me it would take about 25 minutes. I didn't have pressing plans that day so I was able to wait. Next time I would preorder for pick up. Lesson learned. The food was ready a little earlier than the estimated time. I really appreciate their thoughtful packaging here. The had high quality lettuce to wrap with the banh khot and egg rolls. There was also the pickled carrots and daikons. It was THE PERFECT BITE! Wow the banh khot is crispy on the edge but still soft in the center. SO GOOD!! I will definitely be back! I'll have to order some party trays for the family to try!! That's the biggest compliment I can give a restaurant... the feeling when I love it so much I want my loved ones to try it too. They were a little bigger and deeper than the ones my mom makes at home so I felt like there was a bit more batter to shrimp ratio. I felt like their shrimp was on the slightly smaller size but I appreciate how if it was a small shrimp, they would give you multiple shrimps. Banh Khots were served with various greens, pickled daikons and carrots, and fish sauce. I appreciated how the daikon and carrots were cut into a thin circle shapes instead of strips because it was nice to just lay the circles on the banh knot. It was a bit of a wait. We got there about 10 minutes they opened on a Friday. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes until our food was ready. It seems like they get a lot of online orders so that contributed to the wait. Would probably recommend ordering online next time. Staff were nice and food came out really hot and fresh so I didn't mind the wait too much. Seating is a bit limited though. They had one table inside and a couple inside.

I tried to place a catering order during Thanksgiving week and wasn't able to because they were already fully booked. If they were closer, I'd come here at least twice a week to replenish my banchan fix. Nonetheless, I always go out of my way to return!

I had the expectation that he'd arrive at least 15 mins earlier to set up. He didn't offer any apology upon arrival either. He also added a 20% tip on top of the original cost for 50 banh xeos without me realizing it until after the fact, so I ended up paying him more than expected. I would not recommend him for any future events.
