Food is phenomenal. Had blue margarita and it was superb. They serve a slaw with chips and salsa and it is amazing (we got the recipe). We had a queso dip and it had just the right kick. Very busy on a Friday night. We arrived around 5:35pm. So busy we were given a pager. I asked how long. He said maybe 10 minutes. I barely sat in the waiting area before the pager went off. We were led to a table where menus, complimentary chips & two different dips were waiting. One traditional tomato based salsa and the other a shredded cabbage. There are signs posted at every table. If you want a third serving of chips there's a charge. Hubby got a wet burrito. Ample amount of carne asada. Got amount of rice and beans. I got the super enchiladas which weren't super sized. However both were just enough. Came with a dollop of sour cream and guacamole with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, Spanish rice, and beans. It was a nice dinner entree. Love that they have a separate section for vegetarian food- may be have some vegan options in the future??? Food was great. Shrimp tostada: yummmy. 5 stars. One of the best I ever had in a long time. Everything tasted so fresh and the avocado added a nice touch, especially when you want to clean your palate of all the lime juice. It was nicely balanced. As seen in the pic, it was a mountain of a tostada. I ate it with some of the chips they gave for salsa. Fish tacos: 5 stars according to the little one. It was not breaded which was a plus. Just pieces of grilled fish with fresh veggies on top. We opted for a la carte - and got 2 but she only finished one and saved one for later. Steak chilaquiles: comes with eggs. Hubby thought it was ok 3.5 stars. The chilaquiles chips were so so and I thought a little too soggy for me. Vegetarian enchiladas: came with rice and beans and salad. It was huge. We ordered the fajitas for two. It came with steak, chicken, and plump bacon wrapped shrimp! Also grilled red onions, white onions, green onions, jalapeños, and mushrooms. They also brought two separate platters with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico, and lettuce. Flour tortillas and corn tortillas were also served with the fajitas. Some of the best Mexican food I've had. Especially outside of Mexico. Servers here are very hard working and always check in with guests. Service was also amazingly fast for the busiest night! There was a line out the door but we were able to get in pretty fast. We loved it so much we came back the next day for lunch. We all ordered different things and everything came out delicious. Luckily the food was better. The house salsa and chips were tasty. The guacamole was too chunky though, and tasted more like salsa with hunks of avocado. The enchiladas were pretty good! The mixed fajitas on the other hand were kinda dry and not very appetizing, and the server forgot to bring tortillas to eat with it, and it took a while for him to come back with them. I also got a Chile relleno which was okay, the sauce on top could have been more flavorful. Overall a good spot and beautifully decorated inside with colorful decor. The airbnb that I stayed at in Page recommended trying out this place. It gets CROWDED around 6 even on a weekday. I came at 5:15 and took the last available table. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. I enjoyed the artsy stuff placed around the place and the tables. In terms of the food, I actually thought it was the best Mexican food I've had. I tried out the Tapatio Flaming and it was probably enough for 3 people. Came with moist chicken, tender beef, and amazing bacon wrapped shrimp. I got both corn and flour tortillas, didn't regret it. All flavors worked together and you could just load up your own tacos. It's a bit pricey at $52 base price but if you're out of town visiting it's definitely worth trying. When I came they didn't put the whole plate on fire like they were supposed to so not sure if they took that out or it's a weekend only thing. read more

Came here with my husband for lunch after touring the Antelope Canyon and had a really great meal! Started off with the CHIPS AND SALSA they brought to the table. The chips were super fresh and not at all oily like some other housemade tortilla chips. Husband was like "This is better than Chipotle", I was like "of course!". Chips were amazing on their own! The salsas were a tomato salsa and a mix of cabbage and some other veggies with vinegar or something? That tomato salsa was so good on its own! For the entree, we split everything. VEGETABLE FAJITAS but with salad on the side instead of rice and beans. The vegetables were super tasty! It was bell peppers, onions, yellow squash, broccoli, green beans, peas and carrots. The veggies came sizzling hot on the platter and we actually had to move them to the plate so they would cool down a little haha. Seasoning on the veggies was really nice. They were actually quite oily though so we used a bunch of napkins to press out the oil. Salad was just shredded lettuce and shredded cheese on top but it was totally fine because everything else had flavor. TAPATIO CHIMICHANGAS Chimichanga Verde - stuffed with pork, cooked in green sauce + topped with green sauce Chimichanga a la Crema - stuffed with chicken, covered with creamy white sauce Chimichanga de Mole - stuffed with chicken covered with Mole sauce Not even kidding this thing was beautiful! I was very skeptical about the creamy chicken one, and was asking if I could substitute that for the Chipotle chicken instead. The server said no so I was like okay. I'll take it as is. Turned out the Creamy sauce Chicken Chimichanga was my favorite! That creamy sauce was so good I could have had it by itself! It tasted so good even with beans and any random thing I tried it with. Mole was also good; Had that hint of sweet, and my husband actually kept it for his last bite as a dessert chimichanga, haha. I wasn't too big a fan of the pork one because I usually prefer chicken over pork. Husband loved it though, and had most of it (while I had most of the creamy chicken). Well.. Went to El Charro Loco only to find it closed for good.. So we came here as 2nd choice.. Friendly staff, pretty design and decor. Got the salsa, chips, and cabbage salad.. Added some salt and drenched it with tapatio sauce and made it slightly better but not by much. Shrimps were pretty decent size and good amount.. But I have to say it was one of the most blend shrimp cocktail I have ever had. Then my main dish came.. Tapatio especial... The presentation was pretty good.. Chicken tasted ok Carne Asada was cooked pretty good but also lacked in flavor. Tasted little better after I added some salt. The bacon wrapped bacon was burnt to hell... I couldn't get over the burnt flavor very disappointing. Beans were pretty good and rice was not bad. Came with guac but it was on top of lettuce and amount was smaller than it looked. Got my flower tortilla and sad to say it was the kind you buy at grocery store. The burrito pics was not bad.. Portion was huge.. Did see a sign posted on the wall saying extra charge for 2nd servings of chips and salsa.. Luckily I didn't get charged for the extra salsa.. Feeling disappointed after I finished my meal only to be more disappointed when I got the check... Should have looked at the price better.. Most definitely not worh the money.. I've been to a couple of their locations in Colorado, as well as the Flagstaff, AZ location, but my favorite has to be this one in Page! Why? The staff is always extra fun and friendly here! First off, great chips and salsa with cabbage slaw! Their lunch portions are huge! My fave is Pollo A La Diabla! The sauce is kick ass! Another fave is the Molcajete, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here! Great rice and beans and lots of seafood choices as well! Love the Tamarindo Margarita but they have so many other tasty margarita options! Margs not your fave? Try a Michelada, it's like a Bloody Mary with beer! What an experience this place as. I put down 2 stars, but I will say the people and service at this restaurant was... well, let me say that the people were nice people, but they seemed to be just completely overwhelmed. The place was JAM packed. I mean we walked in and rightfully waited for about 30-40 mins for a table. It was pretty chaotic. I have no idea how they were keeping track of who's who. I mean, I guess we did have a pager, but it was just kind of all over the place type of situation. We had a large group and ended up sitting on adjacent tables. There was a bit of chaos in that, because we were trying to sync up across tables on who's ordering what, etc. There was definitely confusion in the wait staff. The food was very... average, to be honest. I just don't think the flavors were there. It was quite bland. Then when it came time for the check, we tried to have it split 3 ways and there was just more chaos on confusion. They charged one of the checks wrong and then there was voiding and this and that. Idk what was going on. Exhausting as we finally came out of the place. I think a big part of it was just that they were getting a TON of business and it's not a huge place and it was just an overwhelming day. May be just our bad luck. Overall, the food was pretty good. It was your typical Mexican fare and flavors -- beans, rice, salsa, protein. The chicken was moist and had a generous heaping of cheese on it. The flavors didn't really impress me though (nothing super unique) and the dish certainly felt very heavy and wet, which is not really my style. This spot was pretty darn good! Not sure what we were expecting for being in Page to have Mexican food, but It did not disappoint. We'd left another restaurant after an hour wait and so we called ahead to see if they'd be able to accommodate us promptly and they did. To our pleasure they had the table ready for us even though it seemed like a very busy night. First two rounds of chips are on the house, and after that you pay extra (not sure how much). They have a very large menu including things like "diet tacos" and separation of salads, meat dishes, chicken dishes, and other... making it fairly easy to navigate - it even had a kid menu for kids under 10, $7.99. That said, quite tough when you're indecisive and hungry and the picturesque menu makes it tougher to decide on what to select. I selected the Tierra y Mar dish, which included a T-bone steak and garlic shrimp, along with sautéed mushrooms, beans and rice. I asked for salad instead of the rice and they gladly accommodated. The dish was huge, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying! The meat was prepared perfectly medium (I asked for medium because I was going to share the large steak, or would have opted for medium rare), and the mushrooms were delicious! The shrimp were a little smaller than I'd liked and came with about 5, which for the size of the dish was plenty. The beans were tasty, melted cheese on top, and the shrimp themselves were also quite good! Our server was prompt and communicative, brought us drink refills and had help with him while distributing the dishes of 12 family members. Some other notables were the veggie enchiladas, the dish was cleaned out. The Pastor tacos. Once we were seated, we were served complimentary chips and salsa. Chips tasted fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted. Their menu is hugeee. I'm talking multiple pages with entrees organized by protein - chicken, beef, seafood, or pork. I decided to go with their beef fajitas. Little did I know that I would be ordering two meals because their potions are ginormous! They gave me an entirely separate plate for rice, beans, guac, and pico de gallo. When the fajitas came out, the server added some oil so the entire plate lit on fire. As much as I enjoyed the show, it made the fajitas more on the oily side. The experience was ultimately kind of strange and the food was hit or miss. The service wasn't great, but it could've been because our party was pretty large (8 people). I ordered the chicken quesadilla and the portion was massive, but the food was just okay. My friend ordered asada tacos and received regular carne asada, but when he told the waiter it's not what he ordered, the waiter told him the carne asada was better? The exchange was super awkward and weird. Another friend of mine who ate with us ended up spending the entire next day running from bathroom to bathroom, but I guess that could've been because of traveling? Not sure honestly. It comes with beans, rice, guacamole, and sour cream along with tortillas so you can make tacos from the seafood treat. This is a big dish and was shared between myself and my daughter. You might just need some extra tortillas if sharing. CEVICHE DE CAMARON (shrimp) was enjoyed by my wife. It had a ton of cilantro in it, which is one of those flavors that you either love or hate, no in between. As a ceviche, the shrimp are not cooked with heat but rather with the acid in a lime juice marinade. That takes a little while so don't order this if you are in a hurry. read more

We came here on Cuarto de Mayo without realizing that it was the day before the big American Mexican food holiday. Not a bad choice since we didn't have to deal with the crowds. We had quick service and great tasting chips and salsa along with a marinated coleslaw type dip for the chips before our food came. I had a taco salad with ground beef, wife had the combo with a crispy relleno and enchilada, while daughter had a veggie burrito and her friend had a chicken taco salad. My daughter didn't like her veggie burrito as it seemed to contain "previously frozen Thanksgiving vegetables" (in her words). The service was excellent. It was a Saturday evening, and they were packed, but we still got a table immediately. (My wife was a bit irritated that we got sat right by the rest rooms, but her irritation evaporated quickly as things progressed.) She ordered a regular-size margarita, and thought the waiter brought her a jumbo. But he assured her that this was their regular size, which was what they charged us for. My wife got some chicken enchiladas with a cream sauce, and said it was the best cream sauce she had ever had. I had a combination with beef enchiladas and a crispy chili relleno. The red sauce on the enchiladas was excellent, and the crispy chili relleno - I had never had a crispy one - was delicious. I quickly learned that they use Anaheim peppers here, rather than poblanos, like we do in Texas. So it was a bit spicier than I expected, but still great. An excellent experience.
