    Fish and Chips

Drove from CA to AZ and managed to sneak in before they closed the doors. Since we were at the tail end of the dinner service took a bit to get seated but once the waitress swung by she took our orders quickly and food came out promptly. I ordered the ribeye, buddy ordered the fish and chips, and son ordered the macc & cheese. Ribeye was cooked to order (medium rare) but green beans were so so for me (lots of garlic, julienne cut), onions / mushroom sauce paired with the mashed potatoes and gravy were fine but a bit much with the ribeye for my tastes. Buddy said fish and chips were good, son thought Mac and cheese were fine.

On a Sunday night there was no entertainment. The signs seemed to suggest Saturday is the day for this. Waitress was friendly but so terribly slow. Definitely not worth of a $10 tip but what can one do. Ribeye was good. Didn't like the seasoning rub on the corn on the cob though. Salad had old bits like the tomato which was soft and soggy. Kids sliders were super duper salty. Overall just a very meh experience unfortunately. But hey it's Page. Oh and they do the surcharge for credit card (it's on the check they bring)

Saturday. December 20, 2025. Linner. Visited here with my wife and son. We were headed to Zion National Park and hadn't eaten all day. By the way, Zion is magnificent! If you haven't gone you should plan to visit especially in the winter off-season. My son picked this based on Yelp reviews. We waited about seven minutes by the front door to be seated. There was a single waitress working the entire restaurant. We were one of four families inside. The waitress seemed friendly and brought us waters. There were lots of Western themed art on the walls, see attached photos. I liked the family friendly atmosphere. We ordered the Cowboy pulled pork fries, $20. These were steak fries loaded with bbq pulled pork, green onions, shredded Monterey jack cheese and house bbq dust. Lots of fries, and toppings were great. I ordered the signature John Wayne bbq burger with onion rings, $20. This burger came with house burger sauce, onion rings on top, bourbon bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and a brioche bun. A massive burger and plently of french fries. This place stacks up the food with each dish. Service could have been faster, but we left full for a reasonable price. Loved the artwork inside. Recommend to visit here if you are hungry. Note, they charge a 3% fee if you use a credit card to pay.

Went here for dinner with friends. Was not crowded at all, decent menu choices for vegans. I had the veggie chili on fry bread which was really good and unique. Staff was friendly. Fun decor with wind chimes made from old kitchen ware.

Stepped into this Wild West dream Amazing vibes, killer food, and the kind of decor that makes you feel like you're in an old Western movie. Totally immersive and so worth the visit! 4 of us enjoyed dinner.

If you're visiting Page, Arizona, Gone West Family Restaurant is a place you absolutely should not miss. We stopped in for a meal and were impressed from the moment we walked through the door. The food was excellent -- full of rich flavor and served in very generous portions. You definitely won't leave hungry! One standout was the cheesecake chimichanga, which was truly out of this world. Crispy, creamy, and wonderfully indulgent, it was easily one of the best desserts we've ever tried. Our server, Reality, made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to share great insights about local attractions and things to see around Page. Her kindness added a personal touch that made the whole visit feel special. Delicious food, large servings, amazing dessert, and outstanding service -- Gone West Family Restaurant delivered on all fronts. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! The server is awesome, he ran the show by himself today and still gave us incredible service. The food was delicious, if you come not on a busy night, do not be fooled by it's lack of customers (maybe this is because we are here in jan) the food was amazing and the fry bread is amazing!

When we go on vacation- I try to find local businesses to support when it comes to eating out. Non chain restaurants, "mom and pop" lil hole and the wall places. This is how we have come to this establishment for dinner one of our nights in Page. The first half you see when you come inside is a big regular eating area. Lots of tables and booths. The back part is just as big but looks more for parties/ special events and can be rented out for such. But on reg days that it's not being used for that- it looks like they have an almost nightly house band that plays in the evenings. The tables here were mainly long shareable tables but since it was not busy at all when we arrived- they let us choose where we wanted to sit. The band was just about to begin playing. What we ordered- Chicken Fried steak: pretty good , they didn't skimp on the gravy which I love. We liked the fries because they were like twisted wedges. BBQ chicken plate: hubby said it was ok. Nothing special but the onion rings were good. Rib platter: it's a lot of food, my son liked it- could hardly finish it! Baked potato was pretty big too. The music was a nice touch. A lil dinner and a show. The waitress was super friendly and the food came out fairly quick. No complaints here. It was a nice place to have a family dinner.

Family style restaurant, homestyle cooking. Plates were plentiful, prices were not too bad. If you choose to sit in the back part- there is live music. I think that part is rentable for events too. It looked like an event hall. Waitstaff was friendly and food came out pretty quick. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Plenty of parking cuz it's a strip mall.

The ribeye steak was great. Asked for medium rare cooked perfect. The service was good even though it got pretty busy on a Sunday night. Nice old school western type of vibe.

Is there food for someone with a gluten allergy (celiacs)?

My husband has a gluten allergy, and I called ahead to ask. We spoke with the cook, and he was super knowledgeable. He really took time to explain everything he could eat and how he prepared certain foods. When we got there, the waitress was…

Have you ever heard of Navajo fry bread? Basically, it's a really simple mix of flour, sugar, salt…read moreand lard that's deep-fried and topped with all manner of sweet and/or savory ingredients. Created around 1864 by the Navajo people using the meager ingredients given to them by the US Government at the time. The bread quickly spread to other tribes throughout the country, and is usually just referred to as "fry bread," but in AZ it's always preceded by the prefix "Navajo." My first encounter with it was in a church parking lot at San Xavier del Bac (aka The White Dove of the Desert), where Native Americans had food stands selling fresh fry bread topped with honey and cinnamon-sugar, as well as savoury toppings like ground beef, lettuce and tomatoes in what's popularly referred to as a Navajo Taco. Fast forward to our recent trip to Page, and we stopped into a little restaurant called Steer 89. It came recommended by a local--and I always take local recs seriously. While perusing the menu they had an item called a Navajo Burger ($15) and my curiosity was piqued. Essentially it's a giant hamburger sandwiched between two fry bread "buns," and I really have to say it was easily the most unique thing I've had all year. The burger itself was terrific, as it was seasoned well, had good beefy flavor and cooked expertly. And it was "run through the garden" with all the veggie accoutrements I demand. The hand-cut fries were also a treasure to behold and were everything a fry should be: fluffy, yet crisp and just a bit overly-salted. Of course, we had to get a Navajo Taco ($12), as well, and it too lived up to the hype of the originals I'd had in that church parking lot. While it was nothing fancy, this was probably one of my favorite meals we had on our recent trip and definitely worthy of multiple repeat visits next time we're in the area.

My friend and I came here and we mostly came for the Navajo Tacos. I also ordered the burger, but…read morethat was a mistake as that was not all that good at all, and was much smaller and more depressing looking compared to the Navajo taco. The navajo taco is basically a piece of the navajo bread, which is a thicker, chewier, airier flatbread topped with taco toppings you'd expect from a taco bell, things like shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions and chili. The navajo taco was pretty good if you came in expecting that. It is pretty much an american taco with navajo bread. Overall not an interesting find, but nothing too spectacular or mind blowing.

The restaurant has lots of seating and feels very laid-back and great for the end of a long day on the lake. I had one of the craft beers, Camp fire kolsch, which was delicious. For food I got the Hot Honey chicken sandwich, grilled- which was fantastic. We ordered a side of fries as the burgers do not come with fries. As for service, our server was very to-the-point, not quite friendly but not rude. It was okay for me because I was ready to be done for the day, but most of our party didn't feel welcomed by our server's attitude and we're all generally easy going. We paid our bill with cash, when our server came back with the receipt he dropped it with us and left with the change. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... All in all, good food and drink, service could use some polishing.
