Great BBQ! We're glad to have found this spot in Page as we frequently travel through there on our way to adventure through the desert. Food was fast. Meat was tender. Sauce was plentiful. The beans were so incredibly delicious! They have an outdoor stage for live music which would be fun to catch when we're back. They also had a great outdoor seating pavilion with misters at full blast to keep us all cool in the heat. Made it real fun for the kids! 10/10 would recommend. 4/5 stars only because we had just stopped at Maverick and got Slushees for the kids, and a member of staff said they do not allow outside drinks. We explained that they'd melt and we were hoping for a little flexibility, but the staff member firmly repeated herself that they do not allow outside drinks. So we had to put them in the car to melt. Disappointing interaction but overall great food and good vibe!
Great service and thw cornbread was fantastic. It was more of a corn muffin cupcake. I added honey and it didn't really need it. This is a cute place that had lines out thw door thw night before. We caught a meal there for lunch and being from KC, the BBQ was good. They smoke it out front and the sweet BBQ sauce was my favorite out of the 3 choices.

So this place has great BBQ meat but that's it! Their sides are sub par and just as expensive. I asked waiter if it was really Kraft Mac and Cheese. He said yes it's the kind in a bag that you microwave! Crazy because as good as the BBQ is they should spend some time making good sides from scratch. We ordered the combo plate. The Coleslaw was ok. Brisket was great. Ribs were good. Pulled pork was a little fatty for me. Wine in a plastic cup. $52.00 all in for one combo plate, wine, and one beer. Also our party ordered cornbread and the waiter who was quite curt brought all three orders on one plate with the 3 muffins which confused the table. This was three orders. Waiter should have been friendlier when they automatically add tip since we were a party of 8. He was very impatient. Not cool.
As I was driving through Arizona, I stumbled upon this lovely BBQ. The atmosphere was really nice there and I immediately noticed the lovely smell coming from their massive grill outside. As I sat down, I waited for like 10 minutes until I got my menu because the waiters were kind of busy but some were just standing around doing nothing. Otherwise, the food came fairly quickly, it was delicious, I liked the brisket sandwich the most and with their sweet sauce it was very delicious! I quenched it down with Mountain Dew. I really like this restaurant, would recommend if you are nearby!
I drop here every time I come to Page. Bbq plate comes out in about 2 minutes. Live music outside is fun. Food is a solid 4.

We ordered the sample plate to have a taste of all the smoked meats ranging from ribs, pulled pork, brisket and spicy sausage(just a little kick). After a long day of hiking, we stopped in for dinner and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table inside (they had a covered outdoor area with no wait). The service was quick and very hospitable. Inside felt like a locals-only bbq spot and I really liked the overall family-feel. We shared the sampler platter which was plenty of food for the both of us and at a great deal too! Everything was pretty good and I really liked the pulled pork. With the added bbq sauce on the side, you can't go wrong with any of the cuts of meat. We also finished with some peach cobbler which my gf really enjoyed. All in all this is a great local bbq spot to check-out when in Page!
I like how they have a good portion sized plate of everything so I can try multiple things. Pork rib is a little dry and I don't like how the brisket is served shredded. Sausage and pulled pork are normal. Potato salad and cole slaw are okay. Apple cobbler with vanilla is good but a little too sweet. It's pretty nice that they have like 14 flavors of ice cream and they change daily. Food comes out pretty quick.
We were here for dinner, the place is easy to find and has private parking. Also you can choose to dine outside. We choose to stay inside. We over ordered, he got one pound flank beaf and i got the full rack of rib! And it's come out instantly as it has been cook or smoking for the whole day. I think the rib is better than the beaf, full of smoking flavor, even i ate 6 bones that's half a rack! Service is great, we packed the leftover and she also packed us with small container of bbq sauce! There are two huge smoker outside the restaurant make the place very authentic! Love it!

The ambiance provide a nice place to sit and eat and enjoy the live music. We ordered take-out. I like that you can get a sampler of all their meats including ribs so you can try everything. Such friendly service and great ribs! Outside of the establishment already lures you in because of the huge smoky grills in the front that smell amazing! They offer three different bbq sauces: spicy, original, and sweet. All three are heavy in fresh pepper, especially the sweet bbq sauce. The original is more tangy. Spicy baked beans are more savory so you can add more bbq sauce to this if that's your preference. It had chunks of brisket ends inside of it and was great! Ribs was the perfect texture of chew! I don't like it when it's too soft and falls off the bone but this one had a great bite to it. They taste great on their own but of course I like slathering them in the sauces they provide at the table. A roll of paper towels are provided on every table Inside is Texas themed and eve has an ice cream display of different tubs like cotton candy and bubble gum ice cream. There were also a few games at the front area. For the peach cobbler, they were very generous with the ice cream portion which was the perfect ratio to the cobbler.

Delicious authentic Texas BBQ in Page, Arizona. A short drive to close by The New Wave and Horseshoe Bend. Our family loves their BBQ. The dry rub is very flavorful. The original BBQ sauce is perfectly balanced with tangy, spice, sweet but not too sweet. Hot links is nicely spiced and tasty. The Baby back ribs (we ordered full rack) and it was super tender, flavorful. The beans are tasty too. No collard greens or dirty rice. Parking lot on side of building. Has a large outdoor patio with plenty of misting. During our visit, it was 100 degrees and it was still pretty comfortable. Very pet friendly...they offer bone for our husky to chew and he had a blast!!!! Staff are super friendly and helpful. We dined during peak lunch hr and it was packed. But staff was always present and available. Thanks ya'll. Thanks for making our Grand Canyon and Page trip so memorable with your yummy BBQ Definitely a must try spot if you're a fan of BBQ. When visiting Page, Arizona, Big John's Texas Barbecue is an absolute must stop. They serve what are quite possibly the best ribs you will every have anywhere. Order Full Rack of Baby Back Pork Ribs $36 as of June 2026. It will feed two hungry people. Or, it will feed three if you add a salad or sides. Try the three sauces in the bottles until you find the one that goes best with your ribs. . We were in Page for three nights and ended up eating there two nights in a row. The food is that good! They also have a fantastic live band that plays great music. We tipped them $5 and highly recommend tipping them at least that much or more. They're genuinely talented and add a lot to the atmosphere. I would come just for the music even if they stopped serving food. . The only downside was our server on the first night wasn't great. I don't know his name but some guy with tattoos everywhere but oddly one of his legs not tattooed. But the second night we had the sweetest waitress Tania, and the service was excellent! Overall, the food and live music make Big John's highly recommended!!! Don't miss it! read more

Cute restaurant with live music on a Sunday evening out on the patio where many were already seated enjoying dinner around 630pm. Easy to spot from main road and the aroma if smoked meats filled the air from the 2 smokers right out front. Delicious fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs melted in our mouths. Hubby ordered the full rack and we enjoyed each bite... enjoyed ribs with their original, sweet, and spicy BBQ sauces (on table). I had the brisket sandwich with delicious potato salad and country beans. We ordered a corn muffin which was moist and perfect with our meal. Topped off the great meal with rocky road (our favorite) and pistachio almond ice cream. We will definitely be back again!! read more

While attending the Page AZ Balloon Regatta street fair, my wife and I saw this restaurant a block away. The smokers in front of the business were active and the smells were delicious! We entered the restaurant and were greeted by the hostess. She seated us inside as we asked. There is outside seating, but it appeared that the smoke was getting blown out there. A live band was setting up on the patio and a crowd was beginning to gather. Looked fun! I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs with cowboy beans and potato salad. My wife had the spicy link hotdog. Both dishes were delicious. The prices for food are a bit high at this restaurant as compared to other bbq places, but this is a tourist area. Higher prices are expected. The portion sizes are pretty slim. Other bbq restaurants I've been to (which ave been numerous) I've had to take home leftovers. Would I return to dine at this restaurant, can't say. There are other restaurants in the area where you get a great value for the price paid. Those places didn't have smoked meat. One other thing, the other meats are shredded. I do not like my brisket shredded, so I didn't order it. If you do, this place will satisfy your taste. read more
Stopped by Big John's Texas BBQ while on my Southwest trip because BBQ was a must and it did not disappoint. Food: My wife and I split The Sampler (brisket, pulled pork, chicken, two ribs, and coleslaw since they were out of sausage). The pulled pork and ribs were the standouts -- smoky, tender, and full of flavor, and the cinnamon ice cream for dessert was a surprisingly perfect finish. Service: Our server, Michael, was excellent: attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Aesthetic: The setup had a great BBQ joint vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus an outdoor stage area that looked ready for live bands, the kind of place that makes you want to stay a while and soak in the atmosphere. read more
Hmmm.. meh on food. Great service. Pulled pork and sausage was good. Brisket and ribs were just average. Corn bread was really dry (adding butter and honey did not save how dry and crumbly it was). Nachos was basic (no added salsa green onions norhing). Bbq was lacking. Expecting more from a bbq place. Apple cobbler was ok, the crust was burnt and only 2 pieces of apple, saving grace was the ice cream. Frozen margarita was good not much alcohol. Fast food BBQ with $$$ prices. Kinder BBQ in cali is so much better and cheaper. Fairly disappointed except for the service. read more

After our Antelope Upper Canyon tour , time for Barbecue. Found this place and great for lunch. The place more of a Texan Cowboy Country style. The decor suited the name. Seated right away . The server was great. Ordered their BBQ sampler with brisket , pork ribs, pulled pork beans potato salad which was really good and to be shared. The corn bread was freshly baked. The garden salad was ok. The pulled pork bbq was a little dry but with their BBQ sauce mixed it tasted good. The cobbler with cherries and vanilla ice cream was delicious. The praline pecan ice cream was a bomb. Brisket sandwich was good. The Prickly Pear and Hazy beer was good cold but more on the bitter side. Overall, satisfying lunch. We will be back read more

We were staying over in Paige on our way to Utah from AZ. This place was close to our hotel and we just decided to check it out. The first day we went, it was super crowded and busy and it was towards the end of the day and they were out of some of their meats like their ribs. So we only got some dessert pie. The second night. We went a little earlier. However it was again completely full, luckily we were one of the few to get the ribs last. It takes longer to be seated inside. However they have outdoor seating which was quite empty. But it can get cold. They have heaters which was nice. Their ribs were really good and tender, they have a few sauces and the spicier one was really good. Their pice and ice cream is a good way to finish the meal as well. Their chicken slider had a decent flavor but it was much better with the sauce. read more
Not a lot of choices in Page, but this one stood out. Came on a Sunday night and we still waited 30 minutes with plenty of people standing around waiting. Wish it had draft beer, but even canned beer was fine as I was thirsty. The Oak Creek Brewing Amber Ale and Sunset Amber Ale were just okay. I liked my Tower Station IPA better. The baby back ribs were not bad. I was looking forward to the brisket, but I felt they were just okay, The 3 different sauces made it taste better, but really good briskets would not need sauce to taste good. The salad was necessary as we had a lot of meats, but it was also average. I wanted to like this place more, but it was just average. Also when the bill came, it already included 10% service fee. I've seen that at higher end restaurants, but never at a bbq place. If I visit Page and stay in the town again, I would probably not go back. read more
Went for a family dinner while on vacation. Service was very rapid and great. The food was pretty good. Plenty of smoke on the meat and the sides were well made. It's a solid option on the weekends as they have a live band to enjoy. read more

Food is so worth it! We stopped by after visiting Lower Antelope Canyon and were not disappointed at all. The service is perfect and the food we ate is amazing! You gotta try it when you're in the area. The sauce is like something I've never tried before. read more
This brisket was phenomenal. We loved that we could order immediate takeout and walk back to our hotel to eat while being cozy. We made this our dinner choice based on the clear gluten-free markings on the menu! I could try anything on the menu except for the sausage links. And when I asked about dairy in the potato salad and coleslaw the staff was so knowledgeable. (The coleslaw is dairy free and the potato salad was casein.) We thought Saturday night on the patio with music would be fun, but we were tuckered out from a day on the lake, so the fast take out option was awesome. Our only beef (lol) was that the patio smelled like cigarette smoke. read more
Not many options in Page but this was definitely a good place to hang out with live music. There was a line and a bit of a wait but service was very good and everyone was very attentive. I would give service 5 stars for sure. The live music was great. The baby back ribs were unfortunately overcooked and definitely needed sauce. The beef brisket came out looking like pulled pork but was good. Also needed sauce - they offer 3 types - traditional (which was sweet), spicy & sweet. From seeing all the good reviews, I came in here with quite high expectations. All the staff here were amazing from the moment we got there to the moment we sat down, ate our food, and left. The inside of the restaurant was packed so we chose outdoor seating so we wouldn't have to wait. There were a bunch of heater lamps but more than half of them did not work, according to the staff. It was pretty cold that day so we quickly ate our food and left. The food itself was just alright. We got a full rack of ribs and my husband being a BBQ lover, had a face of not being fully satisfied. No complaints about my salad though! read more

We stopped by on our way to Lake Powell after our Antelope Canyon tour, and couldn't resist the BBQ smell--it pulled us right in. Our waiter was super friendly and gave us great suggestions. The house BBQ sauce was really good, and the pulled pork was my favorite! My friend from Japan had been having a hard time finding BBQ chicken anywhere, so she was really happy to see it on the menu. We also grabbed some fun photos outside. Definitely a great stop! read more

This place is all about the atmosphere and not much about food. We went here on a Monday night and there was a line to get seated outside. We were told that patio seating always has a line, but indoor seating isn't busy. Patio seating is communal seating - picnic tables, parties all seated together, paper plates and utensils, plastic table covers, etc. There was a band playing live music (Cowboys and Indians, who get whole separate star to themselves because they kept me here for the 1 hour that we sat there) and smells of bbq-ed meat from the outside grill add to the charm. But it is really all smoke and mirrors because the food is, at best, average. We didn't like it. We love Texas BBQ so we came here with high hopes, which didn't pan out. I think this restaurant manages to keep going because they are the only restaurant in a tourist town and most people either haven't had good BBQ or eat here once, get swept in the atmosphere, and leave thinking the food was good. For the prices, the quantity of the food isn't that much either. Service is quick and succinct, which is our preference. They have parking spots but it tends to be crowded, so good luck with looking for parking. We ordered the beef brisket sandwich with cowboy beans and potato salad and the sausage link with bun and cowboy beans and coleslaw. I don't know if anything other the meat is made in house. I didn't like the buns, so I mostly had the meat. The beef brisket was so dry that it needed the BBQ sauces on the table to help us chew and swallow it. It was also presented in a pulled brisket style, rather than slices. They might have chosen a lean type of brisket or smoked it too much, but this brisket was not good. Briskets are one of my favorite bbq-ed things to have and this one was not up to mark. The sausage link was average. Compared to the brisket, it was a lot better, so we were able to finish it. The cowboy beans had a homemade feel to them. They also same brisket added, but it was softer thanks to be cooked in the gravy. The potato salad was decent and the coleslaw was average. The party next to us ordered the platter, which had the brisket, sausage and ribs and ended up eating like 10% of their food, so we were not the only ones who didn't like the food. Reviews talk about good ribs. My husband and I are not fans of ribs so we didn't taste those. However, if you call yourself a BBQ restaurant, you should have good overall BBQ, not just good ribs. We didn't have dessert because we didn't want to have more average food. All in all, this was a disappointing food experience, especially given the ratings and number of reviews they have. There are better places to check out in Page. If you want to try Texas BBQ for the first time, please don't make this your first experience. read more

WOW. I can't say enough good things about this place. We visited Big John's after a long day of hiking at the wave trail so we came hungry. I ordered the shredded chicken plate + ribs with baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and cornbread muffins. We barely left any crumbs on our plates. It's that good. If you're looking for quality barbecue food, this is your place! read more
