We were here for dinner on a Thursday night, arrived 5 mins before 6pm, the lady told us we could order the early bird special which offers you a pasta of your choice with a small salad for 15 dollar. We jump on that, also ordered sausage and veggie add on, and they have so many choices for dessert, i eventually choose the apple thing they made in house. The guy serve us is good but he forgot to serve us the salad, and we were eating the pasta directly, we don't mind as we were hungry. The Apple dessert is great! read more

Walking in I wasn't sure what to expect but the boy was I surprised. I think our servers name was rusty (long black hair and excellent server) who was great! We ordered the blackened ahi per his recommendation and he was absolutely on point. Real wasabi on tasty little morsels of flavor that was perfectly seared. He also recommended the rib eye which was again an excellent choice. Medium rare to perfection with so much flavor. If I'm ever in town again we will most definitely stop in again. read more

Truly an amazing meal, my wife got chicken piccata which was out of this world, we are from Rhode Island. Which has really good Italian cooking ,the meal was second to none, truly amazing pop of flavor, plenty of food she actually had to have a to go bag because she couldn't finish it, portions were perfect, I had beef tenderloins over linguine with a gorgonzola, feta cream sauce which was out of this world with a balsamic reduction drizzled over the top of the beef medallions that were cooked to absolute perfection. On our last night in Page, we decided to check out local Italian restaurant, Bonkers. We arrived around dinner time on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. We thought we would have to wait a bit. The space is warm, welcoming, and a has that small town feel to it. The staff was also warm and welcoming. We ordered the following: Complimentary house rolls Blacked ahi tuna $15 Fried ravioli $12 Baby back ribs $28 Swordfish steak $30 Tomato-basil cream pasta $14 with blackened chicken $8 I found it interesting that they had blackened ahi tuna and baby back ribs on the menu, but the food was delicious! The portions were generous, and we ate every bit of it. What we couldn't finish, our 17-year old teenager finished for us. As a pescatarian, I was very pleased with the variety of seafood options. Stopped in here for dinner on our way to Antelope Canyon. Kat served us. She was very friendly and happy - great server. It is an Italian restaurant but they had just gotten a new grill for steaks. I thought why not let's see and it ended up being I had one of the best filets I've ever had. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was very good. I was not expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. My husband had the early bird pasta with blackened chicken and he was very happy too. They had probably 12 choices for dessert. We chose the lemon cake and it was very yummy. Not sure if I'll ever be back in Page, Arizona but if I am, I will definitely go to Bonkers again. Also had the lemon cake. read more

Best Italian food I've had in a while. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. The blackened chicken stole the show. I would probably just buy 3 chicken breasts as a dinner because it was amazing with so much flavor. The bread was awesome, it was almost like the texture of a croissant so lovvvve that. We went to the restaurant at 4pm restaurant was empty and we requested little big table because we usually order alot, but that is okay But experience got worse when we had 5 pound puppy that is service dog . Simple place. Did the job for the child and us. We got linguine Alfredo, spaghetti with tomato basil sauce, and a salad. The linguine was good, tomato basil quite nice, different and creamy. They both came with garlic bread. They had desserts display and we tried the churro lava cake that though wasn't flowing, tasted nice. After a long day of exploring, my wife and I decided to give this place a shot after seeing some relatively decent reviews. We should of paid more attention to the negative ones after what we experienced. We were sat relatively quickly, however, they didn't communicate that there was a new table (there was maybe 5 other tables there and plenty of servers) and we didn't get anyone to even give us water until 15-20 minutes after we were shown our table. Once the server came over, she was extremely apologetic and on top of it. Beyond her service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We ordered the fried ravioli as a starter. It tasted like they took the mozzarella string cheese and deep fried it. I will say them including marinara sauce and alfredo sauce was a nice touch. For dinner we had ordered the carbonara with blackened chicken and the blackened salmon fettuccine. They simply used the alfredo sauce for the carbonara pasta, which is wrong (I know they used the alfredo sauce because they gave us that for a dipping sauce). The sauce was extremely plain and lacked any real taste. I will give them a positive, the chicken was seasoned quite well. The salmon fettuccine was one of the worst prepared dishes I have ever seen. When they brought the plate out, you couldn't see the salmon at all due to a huge pile of diced tomatoes and spinach. You had to move said pile to simply see the salmon. I can tell you exactly what they did, they cooked the diced tomatoes that come from a can from a supermarket with the spinach. They dumped the entire can and spinach on top of the salmon. That then made the pasta extremely watery. As we were leaving I saw another gentlemen who had ordered the same thing moving the same mess to see his salmon. To pay $100 after tip, I was extremely disappointed. It wasn't worth it at all. The only reason this place got a star was because of the server doing as much as she could to help us after the initial mix up. read more

Fantastic food. Ordered the chicken picattia and the flavor was fantastic. We have only found bland food in AZ but this place has good flavor. Now be careful on reading the menu. My chicken piccata doesn't automatically come with pasta. You have to order the pasta as your side. When I asked the waitress about this, she said it's a common misconception. It would be nice if they mentioned this if it's a common mistake. Also, my children ordered spaghetti, and after the menus were taken, one of my children decided they want meatballs instead of meat sauce. We were unaware until we got the check that the meatballs are adult only and not on the children's menu and we were charged almost twice the price for the same portion price. Again I wish the waitress would have informed us. Yes I called the establishment to inform them. I would return as it was good food and the staff are friendly. read more

Don't judge this book by its cover!!! Came to this place to have dinner and from the appearance, we thought it was going to be a disaster.... Well, glad not!!! First of all, service by Havana was impeccable... she did amazing and that kicked off the good vibe. Ambiance, the place was packed. As for food, we both had steaks mine with mashed potatoes and wife with a side of marinara pasta. They were both on the quite good side, the mashed potatoes were incredible... the meat was ok, the knifes, please change them... they tear the meat instead of cutting it. Don't let the name fool you, this is an exceptional resto in a town with many less than worthy such eateries of any cuisine. Bonkers is a standout! By the way, the name does not lead you to grasp it being a seriously, genuinely good, authentic and tasty Italian fare! Its an attention getter alright, and its interior décor lacks most of the traditional Italo-American restaurant accoutréments and décor so common throughout the country like Romanesque columns and urns, fountains or murals - it respectively and nicely depicts with paintings the surrounding area's geography and natural wonders. We spent an enjoyable late afternoon dinner which started with a fairly good Bruschetta with their homemade Tuscany Bread covered with juicy tomato, with the right amount of garlic, basil, and parmesan cheese along with a fresh green house salad that included fresh tomato, cucumber, delectable pepperoncini and perfectly seasoned croutons. For our mains, I chose one of my fave dishes, their rendition of Veal Marsala of very tender and moist, medium cut mutton cutlets, that were perfectly sautéed in delicate mushrooms with garlic and marsala sauce. My better half selected the Pork Loin Chops dinner, prepared with pan seared along with mushrooms, fresh herbs, obviously garlic and butter sauce - unfortunately the cook must have miscalculated the amount of salt in the sauce, it was sent back with no questions asked, and replaced with something else - a true show of a customer first service and attention. Her replacement was the Linguini Pasta simmered in their house made marinara. We both agreed, their marinara sauce is incredible! It has been very few Italian restaurants where we've actually been impressed with an excellent marinara sauce - delectable and exquisite! We almost didn't choose this place because of the name, and there was a brightly lit and busy brewery down the street. Thank goodness we checked the menus and chose Bonkers. We had the swordfish with pineapple sauce and the tenderloin medallions pasta. Everything was great and excellent portions. The tenderloin medallions were perfectly cooked and literally fork tender. We were visiting here from out of town so we really knew nothing about the places here and had a disappointing experience the night before at a different place. The name, Bonkers, isn't reflective of the fact it is Italian. It's a smaller place, friendly staff. The usual Italian fare is on the menu, along with wines, as well as gluten free pasta options. I ordered Chicken marsala and my companion ordered a salad. My meal was a little salty--given the pricing and upper scale style of dining and menu options, I expected a ltitle more taste, less salt, so that was disappointing, but it was still fairly decent. We came here based in the menu and previous reviews. We were not disappointed! We had the garlic bread with mozzarella and dipped in their Alfredo sauce which was amazing! Lots of garlic. I had the beef medallions with Gorgonzola, delicious! My hubby got the chicken parm which had a huge piece of "real" chicken! The kids each got the chicken alfredo and loved it. Now on to the desserts! Apple cobbler was to die for as was the tirimisu. I tried their lemon marscapone And that too was good. Highly recommend coming. It does not disappoint!
