Too many nice Mexican restaurants I ordered there. I was dying for an enchilada one day. I will never eat there again.

Scary Margarita! The mix is neon green. Clearly filled with artificial ingredients and colorings. The food was so weird. I love Mexican Food, but all of it seemed highly processed. They need a chef to redo the menu and buy fresh! The only positive thing I can think if is the interior is nice. read more

Visited here with my work family. The service was excellent. They sat us and within seconds brought some delicious chips and salsa. I loved how they serve the salsa in bottles and individual plates so you pour your own. The menu is very extensive. I chose a vegetarian dish, it was delicious and pretty big. The margaritas are served in large glasses but I did not like it. The restaurant inside is nice with large comfortable tables. read more

My family just dined ar El Tarasco and it was a wonderful experience. We were promptly greeted and seated. We were provided with warm chips and salsa and our drink order was taken very quickly. Years ago this place was awesome but now it seems that it just became another Mexican place with subpar food. We had chimichangas that were supposed to be covered in queso and they were small and hard and minimal sauce it was a hundred bucks for three people and only one had a beer so much for affordable they became unaffordable and not as good sorry but that's truthful the service was wonderful though but the food was okay and the price was higher then it should have been read more

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I will NEVER be coming back here after the experience I had tonight. There was a miscommunication with ordering when ordering my food over the phone and when I called to have it remade as I was expecting it they asked if I could bring the wrong food in. When I did they told me it was my fault it was wrong and that I'd need to pay for a new meal. I refused to pay for a meal no one would eat. The girl then brought over the manager who reluctantly said I'll give the right meal after arguing with me. Then when remaking my food they proceeded to take as long as possible. I've worked in food service and I would never treat a guest the way I've been treated here tonight. This is the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. read more

My wife and I went there recently and found the 17 something meal I usually ordered is now 23 dollars. All the item on the menu didn't go up a little but by a significant amount. Also the booth that we sat it was extremely uncomfortable. Your back was being pushed into the table . It was one of our favorite places to dine but the price hike percentages were way to high so I don't see us going back. read more

Easy to park- exterior is plain but don't be fooled- the interior is inviting with dark carved wood. Service is friendly and quick. Food was excellent- salsa made in house- thick w a little kick. 3 things about this place: 1. The place is bigger than what I expected and waitress was friendly but took forever to place and order, which took 15 minutes. I loved the fact that instead of giving just 1 bowl for the salsa, they give you the small bowl for each person and salsa on the side so each person can pour as much as salsa they would like. 2. Fajita taco salad with chicken, Fajita vaquero, and #13 combo (1 taco, 1 Chile relleno, and 1 burrito) were ordered. Prices were fair for the items and tasted wonderful. 3. I asked for the lunch special for Fajita vaqueno and even pointed it out on the menu but the dinner portion was given and charged. Fajita taco salad with chicken was ordered but instead of fajita chicken, shredded chicken was given, which was a disappointment. Overall, this place is a good spot for Mexican food but I wish the waitress knew what she was doing while taking orders. The location and atmosphere was nice, and our waitress was ok not special about the service at all, the food was less than great. The chips and salsa were good especially the salsa, it tasted fresh and delicious. I ordered the barría tacos, and they were not good at all, very bland and had zero flavor, I've had better at a gas station vendor for five bucks. It was like a $25 dish, overall we spent close to $200 for 5 people, and only 2 people actually liked their food. The Diablo shrimp was really good and honestly a safe bet if you choose to eat here. Overall it was overpriced and under seasoned. We're from Texas & Mexico so we will probably not be back in the area but if we are I think we'll pass on this place. read more

Came to dinner with some friends to this location as they swore this was probably one of the best Mexican spots in the cape. I went with the chicken and steak fajitas. I test all mexican joints based on the consistency of their rice and beans. If the rice is hard and the beans suck more than likely the rest of the food is going to suck. Quickly has become a staple in me and my boyfriends dine out rotation! Suuuuper delicious and authentic food and the staff is so kind and friendly. The restaurant is always bustling w diners and we love to sit at the bar. My boyfriends staple is the El Paso dinner. We have also tried the Birria tacos () and quesadillas. We had a very good lunch here today (thanks to a suggestion from Dawne F). Their lunch offerings are quite reasonable and the portions are large. You can also order off the regular part of their menu. They bring warm chips in a basket and salsa in a small bottle to start. It's nice that you can have your own small ramekin of salsa (they give you each individual dishes) in which to dip. The salsa had a little kick which was fine for my girlfriend and for me. But my husband wanted a bit hotter sauce and they brought some by just for him. Good to know. I got their lunch portion fajitas with chicken. There was also rice and refried beans on the plate as well as sour cream and guacamole. The soft tacos came separately in a foil packet. The chicken, red and green peppers, and onions were okay. I liked the sides better. My husband had a combo with a beef burrito, and a crunchy beef taco with Mexican white cheese as well as yellow rice. He loved it. Thought it was some of the best Mexican food (not Tex-mex) he'd eaten this side of Hidalgo (Texas). My girlfriend had another lunch combo with chili rellenos and a single taco with refried beans and rice. She also loved her meal, too. So although my lunch was good not spectacular, the service, the sides, the margaritas, and the two other meals all equal a very good (4 star) experience in a casual setting. Buen provecho! We were loyal to the Mexican place at Burnt Store and Pine Island. Got tired of their BS and someone said we have to try El Tarasco.... Blows the competition away with NO HIDDEN UP CHARGES!!!! Prices are amazing the portions and the portions are huge. Always have to take home leftover which usually, never last after being home a few hours. Service can be better but it is still better than that place up the street that chokes when they fill up. Definitely recommend!!! read more

Our visit started out with a bug in the ice tea with no apologies from the waitress. The salsa flavor was good but the consistency of crushed tomatoes. The chips were nice and crispy. The chimichanga was very plain (just meat and tortilla) and the shredded steak filling was dry. I got the chimichanga fried and it was not crispy but soggy. The fried beans had a tangy flavor. The chili poblano pepper and the burrito deluxe was good. The waitress was not friendly or offered any apologies for the bug in the tea nor did she take off the cost of the tea from our bill. Visiting Cape Coral was looking for something tasty to eat. El Tarascó did not disappoint. The drinks were large and had a nice presentations. The chips and salsa were delicious but the salsa a little salty. The entres were on point. The enchiladas verde were seasoned to perfection and it was a good portion. The tacos birra were not only tasty but they served a large portion. It is a little pricy but the good drinks and large portions made up for the price. Real MEXICAN cuisine! Looking for the real deal?....look no farther... Acqui esta! Drove over from the east coast and arrived in the area around lunch time. My wife had book marked this place and after picking up a friend we navigated our way over the short ride. Friendly greeting and offer to sit anywhere we wanted. As we were heading to our booth our server was already enroute as well , with some warm crispy chips and salsa. Looking over there were plenty of very reasonable Lunch Specials as well as dishes from the regular side of the menu. Margaritas are regularly $8.99 but today with our lunches they were $5.99. The margaritas come in a 2 handed glass, they are that large, and hold at least 18 oz of the Mexican nectar! Yummy! I ordered the Beef Burrito, beef taco with rice (#5). In less than 10 minutes all three of our dishes arrived piping hot from the kitchen. My burrito was filled with delicious flavored ground beef as was the crunchy beef taco served with white Mexican cheese. The rice was tender and full of flavor as well. If this place was close to home they'd be greeting me as El Gordo (in a loving way) every time I came in and that would be verrrrry frequent! read more

Went to dinner at El Tarasco, I ordered the Enchiladas Verdas and they were very delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures. My wife ordered Chicken Quesadillas, she said they were delicious. Our server Mislenys was very good, she was right there with everything we ordered and checking to see if we needed anything, she did a great job. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with music, no loud voices or noise. I recommend El Tarasco for great Mexican food. read more

Love supporting local businesses! El Tarasco is a nice little spot for authentic Mexican Cuisine with the best salsa in town. We sat at the bar and the server was friendly, engaging, and offered a lot of options. We settled on a mac daddy steak burrito and a combination plate with a beef taco, a beef burrito, and a chili relleno. My husband loved his steak burrito but I can't say I would order combination 13 again, at least not in all beef. Wow the ground beef was seasoned well and had a great flavor, the whole plate was very one note. Definitely going to try the fajitas next time as they came highly recommended!
