I'm blown away by their tacos --- very authentic and among the very best in town! They remind me of the tacos that I've had in Guadalajara.

We are OBSESSED with the newest Taco Vasquez location. We come here at least 2-3 times a month! We truly have never been disappointed with our experience. The staff is kind, our food always comes out very quickly, and we have loved everything we have ordered. I love their ground beef hard shell tacos (cannot beat the price), their milanesa sandwich, ground beef chimichanga, and rice and beans! My husband tries a new plate every time and they're always a huge portion and delicious! Give them a try! It's located in the shopping plaza just off alico and tamiami! Great tacos! I tried a Carnitas, a Al Pastor, and a Barbacoa taco. Of the three, the Carnitas was my favorite. I really loved the crispy texture of the pork. The Barbacoa and Al Pastor had great flavor as well, but three tacos were too much for me. I also tried the chips and guacamole. The guacamole as just average, and I didn't care for the chips. I went through the drive thru one morning after a Publix and now I can't stop! Their breakfast burrito is to die for sausage, ham, potatoes, eggs, salsa and cheese, absolute perfection. I've had a couple of their agua fresca's , so refreshing and full of flavor (passionfruit, hibiscus and melon are my favorites so far. One of my favorite things to get on the menu is the Al pastor or chicken Gordita , stuffed completely full, pork/chicken is so tender and flavor full with cheese onions and cilantro to top it off, in a traditional Gordita pocket... unreal. The beef crunchy tacos are cheap and hit the spot. The carnitas are crispy and so tender, barbacoa beef has so much flavor and very moist! The side of beans is a must, love them and their simplicity . All their sauces are green and red are delicious, full of flavor and spice if you like a kick. I love that there is a drive thru option for quick on the go or you can go sit down enjoy one of their many Hispanic beers or sangria inside . The service is always spot on and it may take longer than traditional drive thru fast food, because it's not fast food. Always forget to take pictures , but will add when I get some! read more

There's 2 Taco Vazquez locations & both serve delicious Mexican food. One location is in a gas station. I'm rating the Taco Vazquez in front of Alico Commons shopping strip mall w/ Publix at the south end. You order & pay at the counter & your meal is brought to your table or booth. The counter people are helpful & polite. The dining room is spacious, in the seating is spaced apart, you're not on top of other diners. I love authentic Mexican food (not Tex-Mex) & this is the best around! read more

Breakfast all day, and their breakfast burrito was just what I wanted -- meaty, eggy, loaded with hash browns and a meal unto itself, all for a very reasonable price. At other visit had carne asada and fish tacos, both delicious as well. Recommend heartily. Best to eat in the car or at the counter. read more

This place is the absolute best mexican food in the area in my opinion. It is the closest to what my friend's mom's would make during sunday league games. The tacos are great. They have one of the best tortas ive ever had!!! Arguably better than my favorite place back home. Their cali burritos is solid. And when thry make the asada freah. Their carne asada plate is awesome with fresh tortillas and their salsa verde! I use the roja on the burrito and torta (bread and flour tortilla are hardier). Their burritos ala mexicana is awesome. Their special breakfast burrito is amazing. And their steak and egg burrito is awesome too. Relatively cheap, but it keeps getting more expensive, so i go their less and less. read more

Good authentic tacos. Reasonable prices and bottled Mexican coke (always a plus). You go for the food, not the ambiance, since it's in the gas station. Their cheese dip is literal nacho cheese so I've got to down grade them for that, but overall a good experience. read more

So this is gas station food. I'm starting to learn that some of the best food can be found inside gas stations. We were camping less than a mile from here. We ordered tacos, Mexican pizza and a burrito to split. Wayyy to much food. My husband and I could not finish it all. But we tasted everything. The Mexican pizza was a bit messy but good. I would ask for no red sauce on it (or on the side) next time to avoid the soggy top. The tacos were delicious but could have had a bit more meat in them. Located in the food market portion of a gas station. Very limited seating. We were lucky to score one of the two tables. You order your food at one place. Then you go to the food market to buy your fountain drinks. No one to keep the tables clean but there were paper towels and a sink and soap to do the job yourself. So five stars you are asking? Well the food was really good and really reasonably priced. When we got there it wasn't very busy. In about 30 mins that completely changed. It seemed like THE PLACE to be if Spanish was your native language. I think we were the only English primary speakers. It didn't seem to matter. When everyone is having a good time, eating good food--well language seems less important. (and I once again found myself wishing I had minored in Spanish rather than French!) If you go there, make sure you look at the various foods on sale. I just followed one of the customers and got one of everything he was getting. I am not sure what it is but so far I haven't been disappointed in any of his choices. LOL read more

I order 2 burritos. Bean and cheese burrito & supreme burrito: both were fantastic. I enjoyed them both very much. My wife got the soft tacos steak meat. She also enjoyed hers. Place is popular it seems. Coworkers of mine said this place is awesome and they highly recommend it. Which I'm glad they did. It is in a gas station which is interesting, BUT Like they say, NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER, well same goes for this place never judge a restaurant for being in a gas station. Yup, gas station taco stop; usually the BEST finds! And Taco Vazquez II has been on my list for quite some time and today was the day to finally try them! Walking into the Valero gas station, the beautiful aroma of pork, beans, masa (corn flour) and spices were reminiscent of a time when I lived with my relatives in the beautiful cobblestone seaside town of Puerto Vallarta. Excited? For food that smelled THIS good without having tasted it yet?' You bet! There was a line; as every order is taken, paid for, then the next person is waited on. Everything is cooked to order. There is a high top bar and 2-3 tables inside to "dine in" but most folks took their "comida" (food) to-go. After about 5-people deep we ordered: hubby got;1-carnitas taco 1-steak taco side of rice & beans. I got; 1- carnitas taco 1-chorizo taco side if rice & beans + we got a small order of fresh salsa & chips. They do have horchata to drink but I skipped that today; wanted to enjoy the carbs I was going to intake! Fresh chunky pico de Gallo style salsa; not too spicy but really fresh and tasty. The chips, perfect. Our tacos; the carnitas (pork) were amazing. Pork was moist & tender, not dry and the tortillas were perfectly charred on the griddle for warmth and it brought the masa flavor out nicely. My hubby said his steak taco was pretty darn good, it had cheese, tomato and lettuce (gringo style ) and the steak was extremely tender. My chorizo taco was superb; onion & cilantro with fresh squeezed lime juice...perfect. We were offered green or red salsa on the side; I got both Green was hot and red was hotter; I mixed both on each taco for the right "heat level" to my liking!! Didn't forget about the beans and rice; as these were most likely some of THE BEST refried beans (Baja style) I've had since sitting in my moms kitchen. Perfect consistency and perfect pork fat ration for saltiness. The Spanish rice was also on par; fluffy and not dry. If I had to guess, fresh chicken stock was added while cooking. Simple but flavorful; just like I like it. You know, no carrots or peas in the rice (my family never did that) just a beautiful blood red colored rice with perfect balanced flavor. There are daily specials, so check the board. I saw things like chicken mole enchiladas, etc. Plus, they have 6 & 8 taco boxes for $7.99 - soft or hard ground beef. Good to remember for a quick taco dinner. Seeing that today's Monday, I might just have to go back for taco Tuesday read more

Listen, I came out to this area thinking im gonna explore and what ever. Was on a hiatus for personal reasons then one day i was like what to eat?! You know? Then i came across this. One night i just ordered drinks off of uber eats. The size was massive. That horchata went down like a whirlpool. The next day got some tacos. Pretty good Mexican food. California burrito was missing fries on the inside, bean and cheese burrito was pretty good. Carne asada tacos had a lot of spice in the meat, when traditionally, you spice up Mexican food with different salsas. Quesadilla was bleh.
