This place has always been our favorite place to go for Mexican food. Tonight the atmosphere was amazing. The servers excellent and music perfect. We sat outside since it was a very balmy evening. The food unfortunately was not flavorful and both of our entrees tasted vinegary. With the exception of my refried beans and rice. They tasted okay. Our service was impeccable. We had a mix of three people helping by getting refills, bringing napkins & food. We don't know what happened to our food. They need to fix the issue in the kitchen with a taste of vinegar in my husbands 3 chicken enchiladas verde and my combination #4 vinegar overpowering our food. read more

I discovered El Tarasco Mexican restaurant as I was driving past Quality Inn & Suites in Lehigh Acres. It was tucked away and hidden next to the hotel. I saw their decorative patio and was intrigued and so I decided to stop by and see the restaurant. I loved the setup of their outdoor bar and patio. Also, from the outside it looks small but when you go inside and around the corner past their bathrooms (which looked well kept), there is a large, fancy dining room. I sat on their patio and enjoyed chips and guacamole along with one of their frozen lime margaritas. Everything tasted great and the service was exceptional. Food was excellent. Ambiance nice. But bathrooms need attention and bar music a little too loud, so you may want to choose to eat inside.

The service is good but to expensive because they add the tip without letting you know. The other day my friend invited me to go eat there and the bill was $160. Then we found out they were charging us $80 for what we consumed and the rest was the tip. And it was just my friend, her daughter and me. read more

We go here for our mexican food fix. Husband likes there chicken chimichangas, I usually get tacos. It's not a big place, it's comfortable.

Ordered from here and it was really bad. Food was covered in half melted cheese I couldn't even figure out what was under it. Chips tasted store bought but the bag was covered in grease. Really sad actually. Waste of money. Rice and beans were good though. read more

LLOOOOVVVEEE this spot. The food is always fresh and the FLAVOR...is EVERYTHING. Arianis is so sweet and always accommodating as well. Most of their staff usually is. I almost always order the flautas and specifically the beef! I want them right now! :) For the kids who like ketchup...I wish they had bottles rather than the packets. lol it can be so annoying and to keep asking for more is just a pain. read more

Spanish food with an American twist.. What that means to me, is big portions, short cuts in ingredients and overly salted, smothered and swimming in cheese and definitely heart burn. That being said, the food was ok at best. Yes, it was edible but it was absolutely covered in cheese. Velveeta cheese. It was thick, dense and made my burrito almost inedible. The steak they put in the burrito was cut up into tiny pieces that barely tasted like something beyond a dry sponge. My wife had the chimichangas and it too was a promoter of heartburn and flatulence. This is NOT SPANISH FOOD. Its what Spanish people think Americans like and I hate to say it but it's true. In the five times we came here, there hasn't been one person from Spanish decent that has came to eat here. To the bar on the other side of the hotel? Yeah. To actually have a meal here, no. This should tell something to any self respecting person that this food is made to different standards. The salsa.. We had chips and guac which by the way were good. The guac felt like it was home made. The chips were home made too, I could tell, BUT was probably warmed up in an oven or microwave and taken to us. But the salsa, that was store bought. From a bottle, probably from Walmart or Publix. The fried ice cream... It was actually good! Smothered in stuff? Yeah... diabetes's best friend? Definitely yes but good none the less. If you want heart burn, flatulence and regret, come here. You won't die so that's a good thing but if you don't want to pay almost $40 for two people and have a sub par meal, then don't go here. Sunday afternoon we stopped in for lunch. We had called ahead to see if they had outdoor seating and were told that they did. We arrived and proceeded to go to the door and it was locked. I called and asked what time they were open and I was told that they WERE open (it was noon). I said, "The door is locked", and then we were told to go through the patio. Perhaps they should have mentioned this when we called about out door seating in the first call. There were no hours posted on the door NOR was there any direction to go through the patio. Normally, restaurants want you to go through the front so they know if/when someone is on the patio. I ordered raspberry tea and husband ordered a beer. On the plus side, the beer was served in a chilled glass. -hubby was much appreciative. On the negative side, my tea tasted like colored water. We were eating nachos and salsa and I would have liked a fresh glass of tea or even water to soothe my burning mouth. Once our server dropped off the drinks and took our order, she had disappeared. and never came out to check on us even once. I ordered the chimichangas which came with re-fried beans, a small portion of shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes and sour cream. hubby ordered the taco, burrito, enchilada combo. He asked what kind of beans came with and was told he could have black beans or pinto beans. He chose pinto beans. After waiting and waiting for our server I was just getting up to go inside for a fresh drink when another server came out and turned up the volume on the music channel TV which was nice because we couldn't hear it. But then she proceeded to turn on a football game on other TV's and now the two noises were competing with each other. NOT RELAXING AT ALL. Meanwhile, my mouth was burning so I asked her for a fresh tea and explained that the one I had been given did not taste good at all. She said the machine was probably out of the syrup and said she'd check it and get me a fresh glass. It took nearly 10 minutes to finally get a good glass of tea. This one had a deep color to it, so you'd think a server who delivers these on a regular basis would have noticed the first glass and how nearly transparent it was and checked it before serving it to a customer. Our meals were delivered by the second server and she left the patio. Our server came out a few minutes later and asked if we needed anything. We pointed out that the sour cream and my husband's beans were missing. She apologized and went to the order entry terminal and stood there for about 2 minutes. It took another 6-7 minutes to get the sour cream and beans. My husband ordered the pinto beans but she brought re-fried beans. The side of sour cream was generous but having to wait so long for it, the food had already cooled of. The chimichungas, were very good. I had ordered one beef and one chicken. I ate the chicken and took the beef home to eat later. The taco, enchilada and burrito were very good also. It was difficult eating any of the re-fried beans because they were soupy. You could "dip" your food in them but couldn't eat them with a fork and we did not receive spoons. The beans also tasted scorched. The saving grace for this restaurant was most of the food tasted very good, the beer is served in chilled GLASS, and there is outside seating. The outdoor bar area desperately needs paint. The tables had not been washed off after sitting uncovered all night and the floors could use a really good scrubbing. There was a dirt path where people came through the gate to the patio and proceeded to the restaurant. Our server, Alison, was very pleasant and friendly but the cooks and servers need to be more diligent in checking that orders are complete before serving, watching quality/presentation and checking back on their patrons. As for the TVs on the patio, music is nice, games are fun, but choose one to turn the volume up on or let the people on the patio decide which to listen to. We were the only ones on the patio and just music would have been great. We're hoping that everyone was just having an off day because the location and outdoor seating really appeals to us. We'll give it one more try and hope that things fall in to place with correct and complete orders and better service. read more

I agree with others that posted about slow service. Our meals took over 30 minutes which, if they are making everything fresh and to order, is not a long wait; however, while we devoured our chips and salsa, we never once saw our waitress. I needed a refill on my unsweetened iced tea (that I had finished during chips and salsa) and didn't get it until I was almost done with my fajitas--and I was given sweetened tea. This place deserves 5 stars for the taste of the food but two stars overall for the ambience and experience. First i went around 2pm on a Saturday and the place was absolutely empty. Aside from my table and one in front of me. This restaurant has a lot of seating room and NO people. The lighting was dark and the service was slow (granted there was only one person working) we got our food at a decent time but it was cold. The soda had so much syrup in it I might as well been drinking maple syrup straight from the jar. The outside bar area was badly maintained and sketchy. The women's bathrooms have 4 stalls, one of them didn't even have a door, and there was no lighting. I went back on Friday because my meal on Thusday was delish! I had the Ribeye Steak, mixed vegetables, rice and tossed salad. The tossed salad had red peppers and onions which added extra flavor I wasn't expecting. The rice is so good that I could just eat it by itself. The vegetables cooked perfectly. The Ribeye wasn't as seasoned as I like, but after adding salt and pepper it was great. Nice and tender even for my well done request. It does come with cheese on top which was new for me. read more

Really really good food, our waitress was super friendly. The only complaint I have is, you have two tvs on two different channels blasting and the radio also blasting. Not a good atmosphere, and our waitress wouldn't take our check because she was too busy talking to a customer for ten minutes so I got up to give her the card to pay for the meal.
