This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. From the moment we walked in, the waitress was unpleasant and not welcoming at all. There was no friendliness, no effort to make us feel comfortable as customers. We were brought chips that were ice cold, as if they had come straight from a refrigerator. The salsa served with them was also cold. I politely asked if the chips could be warmed, even suggesting the microwave, and was told they "don't do that." I've been to many Mexican restaurants, and warm chips are standard, so this was already disappointing. Unfortunately, it only got worse. The waitress said her name was Karen--which I honestly doubt, given the amount of negative reviews mentioning poor customer service. It felt more like a name used to avoid accountability. When it came time to order, I clearly told her it was my first time there and asked for guidance on what to order. She offered no help at all. When I asked about substitutions, I was shut down immediately without explanation or effort. Her communication was minimal, dismissive, and rude. The attitude throughout the night was very clear: "what you see is what you get." By the time the food arrived, we were so uncomfortable that we simply asked for boxes and left. That says everything. I can't say whether race played a role, but I can say the environment was unwelcoming, the service was terrible, and the food experience did not make up for it at all. Based on the many similar reviews I've since seen, this seems to be a pattern--not a one-off experience. I would not recommend this place unless major changes are made to both customer service and food quality. read more

We travel out to Immokalee for the Casino . Usually on the travels once we enter immokalee we LOCK ALL THE DOORS ! On this day we saw a taco stand/ restaurant and I had to stop. I told my wife keep the doors LOCKED!!!! I got out of the vehicle very aware of my surroundings. On the approach to the window my stomach knew I was where I should be It took a few for the tacos but all was good in the Hood! Mucho Bueno! Tacos were Dynamite!! Highly recommend this place! I looked through the menu to find something to my liking. I am very picky so I usually order the basics as in Rice, Beans & Steak or Chicken. I found a Steak Burrito that came with cheese ( which I don't like ) so I ordered it without Cheese. My order came in and as excited as I was to eat it. It wasn't to temperature which meant something was off. Upon going for the first bite I noticed it had Lettuce and Tomatoes ( pretty cool that it had extra when they didn't implement that into the menu item description, maybe they were just being nice ) I called the waitress over and told her the menu didnt specify Lettuce or Tomatoes. So I asked for a new one. She then asked me to pay for a new one. I did my best to hold my laughter. I said it's ok you can take it back I don't want it. She then came over and told me they would remake it. It came back and I found a piece of lettuce, so all they did was reroll it. The worst part of the story is my mother in law saw her rerolling it and didnt feel the need to tell me. I wish I were kidding, but this restaurant is not only extremely lazy, unprofessional but has a high chance of being shut down before you finish reading this review. My daughter is a 12 year old girl and she is a picky eater. But she loves the food at Mr. taco, her and her mother always eat there and Love it. They talked about it so much I tried it and I see what the fuss is about. Great food and Mexican people are always great people. read more

WORST MEXICAN PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. DO NOT waste your money in this place unless you want to get scammed!You're better off going to a McDonald's. I was craving mexican food and wanted to try out this place since I was on a mini vacation and on the way back home. First of all, my partner ordered a burrito with just meat,rice and beans. When we received it, it had lettuce and tomatoes.We kindly asked for it to be replaced and she said we would get charged double for making them make another one which I thought was completely ridiculous since they messed up the order themselves. After complaining,my mother who was on vacation with us saw her open up the burrito and take out the lettuce and tomatoes with her bare hands and then come back and say it was fresh!The audacity!We also got charged for things we didn't even order! The waiters excuse was that the machine charges for what it wants and she has no control over it!What a scam! Never coming here again and warning everyone I know! read more

I tried this place out on a whim, as I tend to do pretty adventurous when it comes to trying out food. The service was wonderful, and I really found my server to be polite and cordial. My problem came with the food. The eggs included in the dish I'd selected must've been undercooked or something, because the food gave me violent food poisoning afterwards. I managed to throw up the entire meal a few hours after eating it, and my nausea lingered for the next day. During that time period, I was unable to eat anything without intensifying the nauseous feeling in my stomach. Believing it to just be a one-time thing, I returned a few days later and ordered a different menu item--this time, a burrito without eggs. Yet again, I was treated to an agonizing night of food poisoning and internal destruction as I violently ejected several pounds of stomach acid into the toilet bowl. I have no idea what kept poisoning me, but I have yet to return to this establishment. The service here is fantastic, but just be warned when trying certain menu items. No one deserves to suffer through what I experienced. read more

The chef has a deep fat fryer and knows how to use it. I ordered an espresso. The coffee was Folgers but the server knew how to compensate. The chiles rellenos are filled with queso fresco and deep fried to perfection. They are accomoanied by what appear to be homemade refried beans, nice yellow rice, unimpressive shredded lettuce with anemic tomatoes, and a mildly smokey red molé. The poblano was fresh, firm, and tasted awesome. The salsa that came with the homefried wheat chips was mild and cilantro-y. Service was great. read more

I went to eat at this place and ordered a quesadilla. The waitress hyped things up and told me I can get it with a salad, beans, and rice. When I received my plate the quesadilla was cold. The salad was just lettuce and tomatoes, my beans were soggy, and my rice felt under cooked. read more
