    Mahi fish tacos

Great location and service was really nice and efficient. The rice and beans were so-so but the fish tacos were much more and better than I anticipated. I have no hesitation in making a return trip next time I am in town.

    1. We were very picky about our tequila drinks and the bartender delivered very well. 2. The taco bowl with grilled chicken was amazing, I highly recommend it. 3. Our friend got the quesadillas and she thought they were very good as well. 4. My only detraction would be the chips and salsa, the salsa was too sweet, and the chips were just basic bland with no salt, If I were the restaurant I would change those.

I'm all about a good happy hour spot and this is one that I would definitely return to! It is such a deal for their Happy Hour..birria tacos, margaritas, street corn! The menu items were all full of flavor and the birria tacos hit the spot! Mexican food is always a good choice and I loved their outdoor seating and ambiance. Staff were kind and friendly! I have added this spot to return to when in the Fort Myers downtown area!

What a delightful, relaxing environment for a lazy Wednesday afternoon. We sat outside on the sidewalk with fans blowing providing a cool, pleasant dining experience. Vanessa our server was on point, friendly smile & excellent service. We ordered the street tacos; 2 beef & 2 Carnita. They were flavorful and so was the complimentary chips & salsa. I had a chili cute margarita and a glass of sangria and both were tasty. At times it felt like I was sitting in old Cuba . Special shout out to VANESSA; She made our dining experience a 10+.

Great food and service! Came here on a busy Saturday night to the bar with my husband and his best friend. We had an amazing time! Ryan was our bartender he was very attentive and took care of our needs. The margaritas were great and food was delicious. We had some wings and carnitas. Definitely coming again! Ryan thank you!

Better than average texmex on high street. Some interesting artwork on walls. Happy hour 3-6 but we went at 2 but they had half price Margarita's anyway. Fajita good and burritos also good. Plenty of seats with sort of back garden available.

Well, if you've ever wondered what it's like to be ghosted in real time by restaurant staff, boy do I have a recommendation for you! Our Cinco de Mayo "celebration" started with a hostess who looked like we'd asked her to donate a kidney when we requested a table. Half the place was empty at 7:45, but somehow we earned ourselves a solid 25-30 minute wait--indoors, because obviously the ghosts needed the empty tables more than we did. Eventually, we were seated, but not before perfecting the art of being invisible at the bar. Tried to order a second margarita while waiting? Cute. You'll die of thirst before anyone notices you. Once seated, the food took an hour to arrive--which, ironically, is probably how long it took for the chicken to grow and the shrimp to swim upstream. Now to be fair, the food was actually good. The fajitas were flavorful and the KFC tacos? Weird name, but tasty. Pro tip: douse it all in extra avocado ranch because flavor shouldn't be left to chance when service clearly was. The place wasn't even packed until we were leaving around 9:35, so unless the entire staff was on a break between 7 and 9, I have questions. All in all, if you enjoy slow service, irritated stares, and a margarita limit of one due to staff invisibility, you're gonna love it here. Otherwise? Proceed with caution--and maybe bring a snack.

Our first visit to Cabos Cantina. We went on a Saturday around 4pm. Staff were super friendly. We were greeted and seated immediately. Nice atmosphere. Lots of Day of Dead artwork, which I love. I ordered the White Sangria and my husband got the Chili Cuke Margarita. My Sangria was good. My hubby loved the margarita. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos and the hubby got the Loaded Quesadilla. Both dishes were better than most Mexican restaurants. Tasted fresh and lots of good flavors. Portions are good. Definitely a place I recommend!

It's still a solid 4 rating. We stopped in on a Thursday night and sat on the sidewalk out front. It's fun to watch all the people and vehicles cruise by, and of course enjoy the 74 degree weather. We got a pitcher of the Skinny Margaritas. It's about the price of 3 'regular' ones, so why not? It was good-lots of juice and certainly some tequila, but not strong. For dinner I got the Beef Taco Meat Bowl and my wife opted for the Grilled Shrimp Bowl. They were both good and very filling. Chips and salsa are ok-it's a sweet and not spicy salsa (at least on this visit) Service was very good-pleasant and efficient.

I had delightful time at Cabos especially because of my wonderful bartender Kirsten. After 4 tries I finally had someone who served me and was super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is pretty nondescript, but typical for a "Mexican" restaurant. The guacamole and salsas were tasty and the Steak Quesadillas were well prepared and tasty. Finally, I can say that the food was good and the service was excellent. I will definitely try again and will be sure to follow up with another review!

Cute restaurant, food was good, ambiance great. Was fun to sit outside and watch cars and people go by. Our waitress was great, and other servers seemed great too. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos. The only suggestion I have for those tacos is more cilantro and less pineapple. Otherwise, the meat was delicious and each taco had a generous portion.

When Mr.Roberto greeted us it truly felt like he was welcoming us into his home. We were seated and I ordered a lime house margarita and the jalapeño queso to start. The margarita blew me out of the water. It was so delicious I had to stop myself from getting another one (maybe on the weekend hehehe) the queso came out warm and Cheesey just how you want it! They give chips and salsa to start. Three types in a bottle and a pico type in a container. This is wonderful for me because I am a little baby when it comes to spice so I enjoyed the flavorful mild (green) while my boyfriend was a fan of the dark red really spicy one! For our mains we both got tacos he got the carne asada soft shell taco combo which came with three and I got the taco supreme which came with 2 mine were hard shell with a layer of cheese and then a soft shell. I really appreciate how they use shredded cheese on the tacos I got- it was very authentic and reminded me of actual Mexican food from Mexico and not this east coast Mexican food I can't seem to get away from in FL! We finished off the night with the flaun which was creamy and the perfect way to end this feast. We had to go boxes when we left and a beautiful heartfelt conversation with Mr.Roberto. He was full of pride, kindness, and personality. He made sure to visit every table and the atmosphere made me never want to do a to go order because then you'd be missing out of all the immaculate vibes. I can't wait to go back!

I went with a selection of tacos - asada, chorizo and pollo. The chorizo was my favorite. They make their own salsa in three levels of spice. My favorite was the mild. It was creamy and flavorful. Tucked in the shopping plaza at Winkler / Gladiolus in Ft Myers, this cute and cozy spot has easy access to and from the beach and close to Health Park hospital. There are booths and a few tables for seating and to-go orders were available and certainly popular on our visit. The decor was festive and soft Mexican music played in the background. Bottled Mexican sodas, can sodas and beer are available. We chose sodas and chips and salsa to start as we scanned the menu. Please note, this is not like going to a typical American Mexican restaurant were chips and salsa come complimentary; you'll pay for a basket of fresh, hot, crispy tortilla chips and a 3 types of fresh salsa : green, spicy red and a creamy green. All were exceptional and fresh. Hubby ordered combo fajitas; beef and chicken. It came with a generous side of beans, rice and tortillas. I ordered the chicken flautas which also came with a side of beans and rice. Fajitas; meats were juicy and vegetables were cooked perfect. The flour tortillas were homemade and perfect taco size. Chicken flautas were crispy with a nice helping of shredded lettuce and cream sauce atop. We both enjoyed the refried beans and rice. Although my only complaint would be a bit more seasoning as I did use salt. Service was friendly, swift and efficient. The restaurant was tidy and clean. Definitely an easy laid back vibe. Can't wait for our next visit; I eyed the chicken nachos and they looked divine!

If they had any outside seating, we didn't see it. No matter as it was too warm to have enjoyed sitting outside anyway. We were seated promptly in a very colorful dining room. The jungle theme of the ceiling, the colorful lights and décor all make for a fun setting. Our drink orders were taken right away with complimentary chips and salsas delivered quickly. The chips are thin house fried tortillas, cut in half, lightly salted and still warm. A plate of 4 different salsas/dips accompanied the chips. The menu explained what each one was. Fountain soda was $3.95 and tap beer was $7.50 for a 22 ounce Modelo Negra. The menu has everything you could want at a Mexican eatery. My wife had the Juan's Combo Dinner -3 ($22.00). She selected a Steak Taco, a Chicken Enchilada and a Beef Tamale. The steak on the taco had a great seasoning with nice tender steak chunks instead of the usual diced meat. She ordered the Mexican toppings which had cilantro and onions. The alternative is American style with lettuce and cheese. The enchilada was ordered with a white cheese sauce (choose from 4 or 6 different sauces). It tasted great, lots of chicken and cheese. She ordered a red sauce on her tamale and that too was excellent. Her side dish of Beans and Rice was pretty standard. I had some dental work done recently so I need to eat softer food. I ordered the Pozole soup ($13.00) which is shredded pork and hominy based in what they called a spicy broth. I didn't find the broth to be spicy at all so I added some of the sauces they bring to the table to zip it up. (Nice carrier of 6 or 8 sauces with a few real zippy ones.) The soup is served with traditional cold items that can be added to the soup to taste. I added them all - slivered radishes, diced onion, sliced avocado, lettuce and lime. Outstanding soup! I loved it. I brought home enough to have for lunch the next day. So now let's make the night out even better. Not sure if it's every Wednesday, but this particular night was 30% off the entire bill if you paid in cash. Done deal. Cash money = big savings! Go there, eat well, maybe save some bucks.
