I came here for years with no issue until today, when someone I don't know, who claims they are a pharmacist and the manager said I was someone else, confused my doctors, and said she knew my "profile". She said she knew exactly who I was and that I have red hair. I'm blonde. It turns out she is not a pharmacist, despite claiming to be one over and over. I knew she wasn't because she was completely wrong about one of my medications being controlled (it's not). She didn't want to fill one prescription because it was "bundled" with another because it's the same doctor. It wasn't. When I called back to get her license number she hung up repeatedly. I later spoke with the actual pharmacist who insinuated I was lying about her claims and said he didn't have time for it. The manager then not only refused to fill any of my prescriptions but also contacted my doctor about it without my permission. I hate leaving negative feedback for a local business, but impersonating a licensed medical provider is a crime, and the customer service literally couldn't be any worse. read more

Either this place is completely incompetent or they just truly don't care about the community they serve. We tried to get some urgent medications filled about an hour before they closed. Instead of helping us the women who answered basically refused, stating they were closing in "a few minutes." We agreed we would pick up next day in which case her response was "this can take 48 hours to authorize." Untrue. I have been in healthcare for 20 years, medication referrals do not take that long. She was so rude, unprofessional and honestly sounded angry and irritated to be talking to anyone in general. If upper management reads this please consider retraining your staff on customer service. Just because this is the only pharmacy up here doesn't disqualify you from treating people respectfully. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. read more

It's a small town pharmacy that has personable service that we are lucky to have. They might not be able to get some drugs, which I have had happen exactly once, but that's been happening everywhere as the global supply chain is not as robust as it once was and smaller pharmacies seem to be put at the bottom of the list by suppliers. But, it's in our own best interest to patronize our local pharmacy if we want to keep them around to serve our mountain community. They are quick, efficient and good people, and keep me from having to drive off the mountain or wait on mail order to get my medications. If they decide to expand the business by installing a soda fountain and maybe a pinball machine, well, it'd really be small town heaven. EDIT: reading through some of these reviews I am hearing stories about rude service. That's something I've never experienced here, but, then again, maybe it's because I make it a rule to treat others with respect because that's the person I want to be. Yup, I have one prescription El Tejon is unable to fill for me, and learned a lot of pharmacies are having the same issue with that particular drug due to limited supply. I didn't get upset or take this out on the staff as it's not their fault, I simply called around until I found another pharmacy who has it available to ship to me and get that prescription filled through them now. But I go to El Tejon for the rest because they are right here in Frazier Park. Pro-Tip: folks will usually react with kindness if you start the interaction by being kind yourself. I've worked in retail and too many customers expect clerks to open a vein or commit seppuku if they can't get what they need immediately. Put a smile in your heart and be happy! It's contagious. It's always nice to be able to give an appraisal of any Services in Frazier Park. After all we want to shop local. El Tejone Pharmacy is not one of those Places. You will want to avoid at all costs, visiting this Facility. After we noticed they were open we tried to use them. Support them. They, were not of a like mind. This pharmacy is a Godsend. I have been using this pharmacy since they opened 5 years now. Tye the pharmacist goes out of his way to answer any questions. Francis & Kaitlyn are always super nice. It's a pleasure to go in there. They make you feel like family. I highly recommend them. read more

Called to see if they could fill my son's prescription because we are new to the area and would like to be able to fill his medicine nearby. Spoke to Francis. She spoke with the pharmacist and informed me one of his medications could not be filled by them at all. Like ever. I let her know I would have to call around to find a different pharmacy which you think would be understood as I'm not going to just fill partial medications at one place then travel for another. Well she just hung up on me. Literally didn't even respond after I let her know I'd have to find another place. Pure attitude. No thanks. They are the only game in town and they know it. Overheard them say they wouldn't open a jar of some drug to fill a small prescription, a drug that they had but withheld from someone because their prescription wasn't large enough. Horrible. read more

I recently picked up a prescription and discovered, when I got home, that it was incorrect. The doctor had written a subsequent prescription and apparently had not cancelled the older one. I returned the medication the next morning and was told they would not refund the cost. While we all agreed that it was the doctor's mistake, they said they couldn't bill him. So, just because they could get away with it, I had to pay for a mistake that I had no responsibility for whatsoever. read more

The customer service is horrible, they are not accommodating at all. I called d to tell them I would be literally one minute past closing and they said regardless, they will lock the doors at 6pm. The person at the front desk was rude and they truly do not care about the people they serve. The pharmacist is also very rude and I'm personable and did not even personally apologize for messing up the dosage on a previous prescription that caused me to overdose. He had the customer service person tell me it was a computer glitch. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for some months now. I have several prescriptions and have never had a problem. Prescriptions are always filled quickly. Staff is very professional and nice. I used to use CVS and was continually having problems. So glad those days are over. read more

This place is a waste of time. I only tried to use them because they were local. They will not give you a price without an actual prescription so don't waste your time trying to shop for a price. When I finally had a prescription sent in, they called me saying what I wanted wasn't available and it was "very expensive". I looked for what I needed on Chewy.com, each pill was about 20 cents a piece!!!....ordered....done in less than 3 minutes. Also all sorts of confusion is created because the ordering doctor now thinks the prescription is being filled by El Tejon Pharmacy and you have to call the doctors office to clarify what is going on ie. that is NOT being filled by this pharmacy. SO ANNOYING. This place is a total waste of time for everyone!! I recommend not using!! read more
