The 3 stars are mostly for being 24 hours. I work odd hours and I generally miss prescription hours. The store per say is not to blame. The location and hours attracts the wrong crowd. Understaffed like most CVS' The staff does its best, but you can tell the customers drain them. read more

Do not go to this pharmacy! Very unethical and unprofessional. Had to call back 4 times and they played games every time and were very rude . You could feel the hostility in their voice tones by the second call to correct their error. They have zero interest in actually doing their jobs properly. They purposely bring in the higher cost drug manufacturers to over charge you when there are manufacturers with 4-5 times lower the cost. Then they lie to you about getting the lower priced medication. Then they mess with the number of days and turn a 90 day script that was sent by my doctor to, 30 day. When I sent it to Costco instead, they sent the 30 days instead of the 90 day . Definitely unprofessional. They don't answer the phone and I had to call my doctor office again to resend the script to Costco rather than deal with them . They lie and play games . And there is 2 lady's standing there talking about a cute guy that works in CVS now and there is no one in line but me. The guy told me to wait and he will help me as soon as he can. Usually I have no problems with cvs in particular, but just this one time this cvs made an awful mistake. I did not know I had no refills left but the lady over the phone a few days prior to my medication running out said it would be taken care of no problem. I come in to get my medication. The least important ones which I were expecting come into my possession, but the one I needed most is nowhere to be found. I've been told I have no refills. Shocking. In all the time I could've spent requesting and pestering my doctor to give me a refill, I've blindly waited for my stomach medication which would've never came. Right now it's day 3 of not eating or drinking much and in pain. I don't know what you do in your spare time lady on the phone whatever the heck your name is at this cvs, but it is much preferred you warn people about their refills or having none left to refill. BTW I HAVE LOST ALL MY PROGRESS GAINING WEIGHT THANKS TO YOU. I have such a hard time gaining weight. It takes months and months of eating small amounts continuously to look the way I do now since I have a swallowing problem, and now it's gone. Gone! I don't care if I am mean. I put my trust in you to just get my meds and make sure I am ok for a good while for it. So good day to you. I will be sour for a couple months because I have to just toil in my sheets feeling sickly until I get my meds. read more

As I was standing in line to get my prescription at 11:15 they announced they were going to lunch between 1130 and 12 o'clock. There were three customers in front of me. They refused to let me come to the counter at 11:30 when I have been standing in line for 15 minutes already. Not my fault they're too slow. Bad customer service. I understand taking your lunch break. But when you're on mobile app order you should be able to pick it up immediately. Not a happy camper that I have to now return back again. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacist, Dr. Sanford. I take quite a significant number of prescription medications, and my physician's staff had called to renew, apparently a few months before. For whatever reason camera when they called to renew, all my prescription numbers changed. So, when I went to renew, I was unable. So, I called the pharmacy, and spoke with Dr. Sanford. I do not have insurance to cover prescriptions, so when she saw the total cost (just shy of $500) she said something along the lines of "wow - you don't have insurance or a 'prescription discount card'?" I told her I did not, and she assisted me with getting all my prescriptions renewed. I thanked her and hung up. After I hung up the phone, I realized I did not know anything about what a prescription discount card is. So I Googled it. Lo and behold, within about 10 minutes I now had a prescription discount card, and based on the instructions the website showed me, I printed out all of coupons for all the prescriptions. In the end, my total savings worked out to be about $110. Who helped me with all of it, in person? That's right - Dr. Sanford to the rescue! read more

i went in on friday 12/29 to buy a gift card. when i got home and tried to use it it says it was already redeemed. i tried calling amazon (that was the gift card) they told me i need to go back to the store i bought it at and get my money back. i dealt with amazon for week then they tell me they can't do anything that i have to go back to the store, so i did again tonight. the manager didn't even try to help me. she took one look at my receipt said something in spanish and walked away, but saying loudly that there is no refunds on gift cards while doing so. i then found out from the employee that was there that a couple other people came in with the same complaint about gift cards they purchased. now i am out $100, no gift card, and a migrain headache!!!! never again will i purchase anything from this store. read more

The CVS located on 40th Street in Lancaster (Vons shopping center) is the worst pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune to use. They did not have the meds my doctor prescribed and could not tell me when it would be available. When I called later to see if it was in - I was hung up on. Same ting happened a day later. When I finally received the prescription, the staff was uncaring to the point of being rude. This scenario happened twice a month apart. So it is their m.o. The CVS I use in Temecula is fabulous. It is inside a Target store - so it's plenty busy. They are cordial, respectful, professional and very helpful. They get 5 stars. What's the problem with this Lancaster CVS??? Worst pharmacy ever. I came here to get meds after leaving the ER at 3:30 in the morning. I wait for the pharm tech for about 5 mins while she ignores me. After giving her my scripts she tells me it's gonna be an hour. I'm the only person in the whole place. Why an hour? All she has to do is to count my meds put them in a bottle and do some paperwork. 15-20 mins at the most for two bottles of meds. I've worked with pharm techs, my best friend is a pharm tech. This lazy tech would rather fill scripts for people who aren't here and are gonna pick up their meds later instead helping someone who is sitting here waiting in pain. Fuck this place. UPDATE: So I told the pharmacist after waiting 30 mins. I'm leaving I want my scripts back I'll go somewhere else's. She said hold on. She already had my meds filled bagged up and staples ready to go. The bitch was just letting me wait there for another 30 mins while I'm sitting here waiting in fucking pain. Fuck you CVS! I went there this morning to get my Mother and I our booster and was shocked to find we did not qaulify, I assumed and yes assumed = ass of you and me And I sure did as with all the Hype and Fear being spread I thought we were elgiable as Mom is 81 and I am High Risk because of medical condition, But we were 2 months early as you Must wait 6 months the Nurse who informed us was the kindest most patient person and I will tell everyone if you want to be treated like you matter ask for her she is so kind and patient she gave us the right information and calmed me down I will admit I was very over reactive and she listen and explained to me in the most patient kindest fashion, I so appreciate the way she controled the whole situation allowing be to compose myself. I went into the 20th st west store and bought some CVS brand diarrhea pills 24 ct. When I got home i realized I bought the softgels instead of the pills. i went right back to store to exchange them. They wouldn't exchange them because I didn't have the receipt. The cashier Adam didn't give it o me. We are talking I was there within 15 minutes, price is the same, same count. They said i didn't push the button that said print receipt. So now I have contact someone to get a copy of my receipt so I can take it back for a refund. I explained I don't want a refund I want to exchange it. Danin the supervisor said exchange and refund were the same thing. Someone needs to inform Dani off your return policy, which clearly states you can exchange for the product without the receipt. The security guard needs to mind her own business and not put her 2 cents into the store and customers business. I will never shop at your store or any other CV S again read more

Unbelievable. Just....unreal. I've never seen a pharmacy move slower or care less about the customers in line. This place literally stinks. Smells like mildew. But I digress. I had three sick children and desperately needed a prescription filled. After an insanely long wait to check in, I'm told that it will be at least 2 hours before the prescriptions could be filled. This was at about 9:00. The folks behind the counter couldn't care less. When I returned 2 and a half hours later (just to make sure) and waited ANOTHER half hour in line, they still weren't ready!!! Again, no apologies, no concern, screw you, customer with 3 sick kids. Very hard to maintain your composure when dealing with these kinds of situations. In my younger days, I probably wouldn't have been able to. In the handbook of "How to Run a Business" this place would be in the chapter "What Not to Do". read more

Imagine your doctor prescribing the medicine you need for spine surgery only for the pharmacist to DENY your medication you NEED .... Avoid if possible. They don't move with any sense of urgency. Their wait estimates are off by upwards of 45 minutes. They don't anticipate needs. I had this whole conversation due to a brief span of lapsed coverage while transitioning jobs. I had to lead the conversation with things like "Okay, so what do you need from me?" "Okay...then what?" Had they any sense of urgency or professionalism, they could have given me all the info I needed at once so that I could make a quick decision and keep THEM productive. Example: "We ran your daughter's member number and it shows she doesn't have coverage. If you have a new member number for her, I can check it. If not, you can simply pay for the medication yourself at pick-up. I ran the total and the cost without insurance will be $xx.xx. We'dhave it ready in an hour." I would have known instantly to expect this lapse notice, and would have TAKEN THE SOLUTION OFFERED to pay, with all the other info to make me feel cared for and confident in the staff. Instead, I got the first sentence only and had to pull all the rest of the info out. That, in addition to the items mentioned above, plus a less than welcoming waiting area, is why I recommend you avoid this pharmacy if possible. I wrote this while waiting for pick-up. Just got meds. Yup...45 minutes past estimate, and no apology for the longer-than-estimated wait. read more

The good: the pharmacy is open 24 hours a day. The bad: everything else! The reason it's open 24 hours is probably because it's the slowest damn pharmacy I have ever been to and they need to stay open to get things done. Horrible horrible horrible. Wait time can be over 30 minutes with just 3 people in line. One time I went really late at night to avoid the lines and the pharmacist wasn't even there! Apparently she had "went to lunch." Wtf? Isn't there anyone else to cover her damn shift? You can't claim to be open for 24 hours if the only employee leaves for a random hour to have lunch. WORST PHARMACY EVER! read more
