Great food! Friendly and engaging Bartenders. Very accommodating and knowledgeable servers. They handled this big group of separate checks flawlessly!!!

We love El Tiempo when we come to Houston! Their waitstaff is friendly and attentive, they have locations in several parts of town, and their queso is YUMMY!! It's got a good Mexican restaurant atmosphere whether you are inside or, in our case, on the heated/cooled patio. We really like the warm red salsa and the refreshing verde salsa, in addition to being a sucker for their queso. Their portions are very generous, so don't TOTALLY fill up on chips! And if you do, just remember that to-go box!

We went back the next weekend we liked it so much! The chicken a la rana!!! I always have enough for lunch the next day, and its so tender, tons of serrano peppers! Its so good. So they have 2 types of rice: green and yellow as the kids call it. Both were great. The refried black beans hit the spot! Salsas are fresh and addicting. Margaritas need some work. The regular one just taste like margarita mix. But I did try some new specialty one, that i dont remember the name of, it had amaretto and a cinnamon sugar rim and was a great dessert cocktail. One of the best cheese enchiladas I have had in a while. They all start to taste the same after a while so it was nice to have a more meaty chili gravy. My husbands beef fajita meat was very tender, and they have good fresh tortillas. Def recommend! We will return for sure!

Okay so I went here on a Sunday trying to spend some alone time with myself. And I ordered a piña colada and beef fajita enchiladas. I underestimated them with the enchiladas. I ordered too when I should've just ordered one. It took me lunch and dinner to eat the last enchilada. They are so big !!! no wonder two was $32. Now with the piña colada, it was good but whatever liquor I used in that it gave me the worst headache made me very sleepy. I don't know. It just made me feel weird. The refried beans was good. It looked very seasoned and the yellow Mexican rice is good as well. The bartender was nice and sweet.

This is Tex Mex at its best. and it hits the 3 G mark. Great food, Great service and Great atmosphere. As the son of legendary Ninfa , you have high expectations of their food. And they deliver. Huge menu. Creative and tastey! Enchiladas are spectacular. Try the brisket enchiladas. Guac is very good. -- foodie tip Sprinkle their special salsa on top. Delish!!! Their flameado dip is just fun!! The restaurant is colorfully decorated with great Mexican music playing. Really just a home rrun!!

The first time we ate there, the service was fantastic. We requested that same server the next two times and the hostess both times told us he was busy, or already had too many tables. Not good customer service. So we sat at the bar where we were completely ignored. I grabbed someone's attention finally and asked to order and pay at the same time so we could just leave. It was early and the bar wasn't full at all so not sure what happened there. The other time, they were crazy busy, so everything was slow and I don't even know who our server was. But the first time, we had Leo, and he was fantastic! He was attentive, made excellent recommendations, the food was delicious! The salsa and drinks kept coming. Was a great date night.

The service is be try friendly! The inside seating is pleasant, but the outside is overviewing a highway. The food is average Tex-Mex.

This location does not compare to the other locations we visit. Understaffed and the food quality was not up to El Tiempo standards.

Carne Guisada is not suppose to be stew,l meat, with potatoes and carrots. If people want stew, they'd go to a diner.

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. Since it was our first time visiting, they even surprised us with complimentary corn on the cob, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding and came out surprisingly quickly. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the restaurant--even the restroom was stocked with everything you could think of, from toothpicks to mouthwash, which was especially appreciated after enjoying all the delicious corn and black beans! It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

We had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Ambriza La Centerra. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Enjoyed the margaritas and excellent customer service from Katie. She expertly managed multiple tables, including an 8 top with ease and a smile. The restaurant was pretty busy since it was graduation week. I ordered the ground beef soft tacos with a side of black beans. My friends had the Marisco Bowl and a platter. Management was helping out and delivered our food. All the food items were hot and plentiful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Our fajita meat today was old, and smelled off. We requested medium but it came beyond gray, and zero char- it was sweaty. This showed up within four minutes. The rice was dried out. The beans were, too. As I said- two thirds of the time is great. Sometimes bad visits happen. Then comes the annoying dance: I do *not* want a manager. I sure didn't need an argument (!) from the server about cooking theory. Not looking for free food. We were very hungry and now have to go find another restaurant. We paid and we left. All done. No desire to keep playing roulette with which experience we can expect, and the server pushback was the kicker. You'll be fine without us.
