It seems the 1st guy hears us and put it together. Made it to the cashier and she pieced it all out not giving us the #9. Didnt notice until we drove back home in HB. No Asada, but she charged us for it? When we got back, she insisted we did not order the #9?? Ok, you still didnt give us the pound of asada she charged us for? Then she wants to see the bag? Hello, you left it on your counter, and my bag is back in HB. So after she haggled my wife and got 4 staff involved we got our missing meat and started back home. Thinking on the way home she didn't do the special #9, so I wonder if she gave us tortillas? NOPE... (called home to verify) 3rd trip back to get the tortillas and we payed for EVERYTHING separate and didn't get the deal we drove to CM for. Over charged and three trips just to get lunch for my family. That's a lot of gas driving past many places just to everything wrong and overcharge us for it and give my wife attitude for YOUR mistake. My 1st time checking out I even asked her about our soda that comes with the especial, she denied my soda and still didn't look that we should have got the deal for the special? Way to make the customer feel scammed. New place at Harbor and Wilson has amazing deals but we have been coming here for 35 years, I guess they don't care about that as much as we did. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here because of the customer service. I ordered six tacos separately, and the employee helping me rolled his eyes, laughed, and sarcastically repeated, "So... six tacos all the same?" I brushed it off and tried to stay polite, but the attitude continued. While waiting for my order, I noticed him talking to his coworkers in the back while looking over at me, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I eventually called him out because there was no reason to treat a paying customer that way. Everyone has stressful days, but that's not an excuse to be rude or mock customers for placing an order. The food may be good, but customer service matters just as much. I hope management addresses this because no customer should feel embarrassed or disrespected simply for ordering food. read more

My first time here and looking forward to my next visit. The line was out the door, on an early Saturday afternoon. Once you make it inside to order it's so loud and chaotic, and you sort of shout out your order. I really wanted a breakfast burrito, but they weren't offering breakfast anymore, not sure when the cut-off is. My son and I enjoyed our burritos, and the salsas. We tried the carnitas and barbacoa. The barbacoa had multiple globs of fat throughout the burrito, so I had to pull those pieces out. I think next time I'll order a meal kit. read more

Customer service has gone down significantly! Makes me not want to come back. Workers look annoyed and miserable. Never smile or say thank you for the service. What a shame. This was my favorite taco place but after today's visit, my opinion has changed. Doesn't feel the same anymore and the workers don't know how to ring me up half the time. Essentially charging me more than I need to be charged. So I have to tell them about the menu price so they can correct it. If I'm paying for food and service, I would appreciate some good customer service at the very least. Hiring a better cashier would go a long way. It's a small shop no place to sit but wow I'm impressed. Food tastes amazing, everything is fresh and made there. Everyone was buying bags and bags of chips.. i didn't but regret not buying them. They are extremely fast and polite. Not a lot of people speak English so i know it's gonna be good. I think this place is better for catering. And maybe it's just a different style of tacos that I'm not used to...but unsure why this place has so much hype. I ordered two tacos and a burrito ($15) - all carne asada (they don't have Al pastor here). The portions are huge and they give you lots of meat. So cost to portion wise, it's a good deal! But my complaint is that I like lots of onions and cilantro, and if you don't ask for it they give you so little in your taco/burrito so you're just drowning in meat. (They don't have the little side cart with the onion, cilantro, salsas, and lemon.) And their meat is more braised/stewed as opposed to grilled, and I like my carne asada grilled. read more

5 stars for the food. It's as authentic as you can get and everything from the meats, beans, chips, tortillas and salsa are amazing. They still give good portions. The reason I'm knocking off two stars is because they raised the prices yet again. The two taco combo is now $14 for all the meats. The value is not there anymore. I'll still come here on occasion, but not nearly as frequently. At around that price point or a little higher, there are better options. Should have kept it at $10 to $11.50 a plate. The customer base is working class people who support the place due to its quality food at reasonable prices. This latest increase may start to have an impact on their business. Don't let them scam you. When it's time to pay they add at huge tip to the bill without asking the customer. This time it was a non approved 22% tip Maria Pimental conveniently gave herself, but she's not the only one doing it. I checked my old receipts and El Toro Bravo has done this to me every time but I hadn't noticed until just this last time. I always trusted them to just ring me up properly. My go-to taco place in town. I forgot how I found this gem, but I'm so glad I did. The carne asada plate special is my go-to every time. Good chunks of carne asada flank steak with rice, beans, some tortilla chips, and fresh homemade tortillas. So dang good. I believe there were 6 tortillas so that's basically six tacos for one person. Insane. Always gotta purchase a bag of their tortilla chips too. All freshly made behind the counter and taste good. We ordered the especial 3 for a NYE party and picked up around 1 p.m. because I'm sure they were slammed. It's a good deal for the number of people it feeds! The tacos are solid but not the best. The meat is dry but well seasoned, and we were a little saddened to see the combo didn't come with any form of salsa. Just keep that in mind if you want to customize your tacos more :) The chips that came with it were stale, we didn't notice until we came home but both bags were open. We were pretty dismayed and had no idea how long the bags were open since they were SO stale and hard :( read more

Long: I stopped by on a saturday afternoon to pickup a burrito and it is one of the best I have had in a long time. Service was quick and friendly and they had me in and out.
