We were in the mood for real Mexican "street tacos" and this popped up on my Yelp! It's a food truck parked on the street so no place to sit unless you have a pick up truck to tailgate. We had the carne asada, Al Pastor tacos (amazing) I had a muleta with asada (yummy and in comparison to a crunch wrap from TB but better minus the sour cream) and they let us try an asada sope! In addition we had a real Coca-Cola with real sugar in those cool bottles from Mexico! Everything was very tasty. Only complaint, there is no bathroom, no place to sit or wash hands, so bring wipes and hand sanitizer! We will return. They also cater. Cash only and I found it more pricier than the average taco shop but worth it!

Solid taco truck parked in an alleyway next to some apartments. I had some tacos de asada, al pastor, and campenchana (asada mixed w chorizo). $1.50 ea for the basic meats, $2 ea for the specialty meats. All three that I tried had good flavor. They have three types of salsas, radishes, and pickled onions out for self-serve as well. Food was good but service was even better. The nice lady accommodated me with grilled onions upon request, and packed my order nicely to-go in a bag. She even gave me a free tostada to sample while I waited. Great no-frills spot to get your taco fix.

This Lunchtruck is a gem, and I recognize the chef from Santa Ana 13-14 years ago , and let me tell you his taco flavors has not changed . I had the asada , chicken , some Lengua and tripas. Everything was amazing. They even make Tostilocos to order! If you feel a hampering for some authentic Mexican tacos this is the place. They also have tortas , sopes huge burritos. Wanted to try their sopes but they ran out! I'll get u next time Mr. Sopes!

Find this truck at the corner of Baker + McClintock. This is a family-run, cash-only taco truck that makes amazing tacos. The couple that run this truck are super nice. Also, it's the best al pastor I've ever had. $1.50 per taco (*cash only*). The fancier tacos are a little more. They're parked on McClintock most days, from about 11am til 10pm! Hardworking folks that make incredible food. The al pastor tacos are my favorite, but I often get the pollo, asada, carnitas, and chorizo tacos, too. Everything is so good!

Best street tacos I've had in Costa Meezy. Haven't had many but these hit the spot on this fine Taco Tuesday. I got 2 of each: asada and Al pastor. Comes with onion and cilantro if you want. They also give you limes and radish. There were 4 salsa options but beware, one of them bit me back making my left eyeball randomly shed a year and my leaving mouth on fiyah . Thanks for the rec #rileduprichy. Hope you find tacos as good as these in Oakland.

Great food and welcoming service. I got the quesadilla de asada hecha a mano, my bf got the tacos de birria as well as 2 gorditas. Everything was delicious, the only thing with my gordita was that I ordered carnitas which had some pieces of cuero or snout that could've just came from my bf's but to me tasted a little strong. Otherwise food was great and will definitely come back.

Absolutely incredible tacos. Thankfully we got there as soon as they opened so there was no line. Ordered tacos, burritos & quesadillas. All generous portions & full of flavor. The owners were very sweet & the food came out super fast. Definitely recommend if you're in the area

The burrito is a regular size. The owners were very kind and fast and informed me that the meat is cooked with grilled onion. They let me know since I said no cilantro and no onion . I told them I was pregnant and I disliked onions and they said they'll try to remove as much onion ad the can. Unfortunately it still had so much onion I had to throw it away. This is the first trokita I come to that has the meat already cooked and are not able to follow the customers orders of "no onions" My husband got the birria tacos and the sauce was pretty good . read more

Service was amazing! The owners are such humble people and hardworking as well, delivering us tacos even when there was only three people working there. The tacos + quesadillas were bombbb (compra las de al pastor!) and the overall vibe was super welcoming and nice, making me nostalgic for even more tacos. Will definitely be coming back!! read more

Bought 2 cabeza tacos for my toddler and was extremely disappointed! Meat was rancid and had a foul odor! Bought tortas for my husband and I, their taste was mediocre!! Never buying food from here again!!! How is this taco truck still in business sealing expired meat!!! read more

Super bomb tacos and on the plus side, you're supporting a small local business! Those are both big wins! Highly recommend giving this place a try! I love their asada tacos and their quesotacos. They have amazing flavor with fresh onions and cilantro. It's a pretty good portion of meat- generous, in my opinion, cause a lot of places skimp out over time. They have really good salsas too, but they all have a kick to them. The green salsa is my favorite! I've tried their lengua and campechana too. So far every meat has been tasty and flavorful! The two workers are really nice and friendly, so I love coming back to support their business. Please note that the hours listed are not accurate. They are sometimes there on Saturday if they're not catering at a party or some other event. Also they usually leave the area around 8 or 9 PM during the week, depending on if it's busy or not. read more

Don't come too early in the day like I did or else your tacos will be microwaved! Taste wise it was average. Freshness was questionable. So come at night when it's extra busy to guarantee your meat is freshly made. read more

Food is seriously over priced and the quality is not good. The meat was rancid, it was seriously over seasoned ask the bad meat but I could still taste it. It literally made my stomach hurt as soon as in got in my car. Hoping it won't be too bad. read more

Felt like trying a new place and this was what came up when I searched "taco truck" and filtered by "open now". Most taco trucks only come out for late night in my area and I was looking for lunch. This place did not disappoint. I tried the carnitas, pollo, al pastor, and chicharon. Al pastor was the best, carnitas and pollo were both tasty though and I'd get them again. The chicharon was thrown in for free since it was national taco day! As if I wasn't already sold on this place... The truck may look a little sketchy but I'd 100% come back and I plan to. +1 for having a bowl of spicy carrots. read more

Salsa was salty asf and also the 4 plates we ordered. Burrito contained no beans meat tasted old and owner said prices go up like the stock market. Definitely not going there again unless you wanna throw up and get food poisoning read more

Just stopped by this place after getting some work done on my car. And damn.. all I'm saying is that those carnitas tacos are out of this world good. Really havent had carnitas that good in a WHILE. Like years. Since my Spanish isnt the best I couldnt pick up why they werent serving pozole or menudo at the time but I'd love to come back one day to try it!! read more

SO GOOD! Was sitting at a nail salon down the street and did a search for "best Mexican food" around me. This taco truck popped up. Went down and ordered 2 asada tacos and 1 carnitas. Asada was HOT (temp) in the taco. Plenty of onions, cilantro, lime and radish. Excellent red salsa (I didn't try the green). The Mexican family in front of me pretty much ordered one of everything on the menu and stood there and inhaled it. Absolutely delicious! Can't wait to take my husband back! read more

The most disappointing part came when the bill arrived. Our server, Mercedes, told us that the tip was not included. After my mom paid and left an 18% tip, Mercedes again commented on the gratuity and stated that it wasn't the suggested amount. My mom had to explain that she had intentionally left the amount she felt was appropriate. We were genuinely surprised that a server would openly question a customer's gratuity, especially after receiving an 18% tip. Afterward, it also appeared that the situation was being discussed with coworkers within view of our table, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. I understand that restaurant work is demanding and everyone can have difficult days. However, no guest celebrating a special occasion should leave feeling rushed, criticized for the tip they chose to leave, or uncomfortable because of an interaction with their server. It's unfortunate because we were looking forward to celebrating a meaningful occasion as a family, and the service left a lasting negative impression. I hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to coach staff so future guests have a better experience.

We luckily got a table after about 4-5 minutes, but we were kind of standing near the trash can for a bit trying to figure out what to do. It's a very tiny space/lot and with how popular it is, it's too cramped for me. With all the cyclospora stuff going on, I'm very hesitant to eat out lately and if I do, I stick to all the fried foods. I ended up getting their popular Hawaiian Cowboy Latte (iced) which was good, but the walnut milk was unexpectedly thick/decadent. Overall, it was good and the ambience is nice, but it's overpriced for what it was. The parking and lack of seating is definitely a turn off for me. If there was more room it would be cool, but the layout was not what I had anticipated. It looked bigger in the photos other people had posted. The staff is friendly so that was nice. I'm glad I went and tried it out though.
