Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. We wanted to try this place when we were here in Oct, but I…read morepicked Wednesday to try it & they are closed on Wednesday. We are so glad we got to try it. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much

Prices are low, quality is very high, and you will not leave hungry. They take pride in what they do here, and it shows. What you will get is tacos stuffed with meat......bigger than your average street tacos by about 2x. The grilled meats are perfect.......and I have studied them closely! . The shrimp are so fresh that they make me weep.......no lie, the best I've had around here! All are served with tons of fresh add ons. Menu is in English and Spanish......extend your comfort zone here people, this is a GREAT PLACE! Oh, and the limonada is particularly amazing, and comes in a giant cup. I buy them to carry around with me.

Looking at the reviews I was super excited to try this place. Maybe I am bias but the taco al…read morepastor is my favorite taco. There is something magical about thinly sliced marinated pork on a vertical spit roasted over flame. My first issue with the pork is it was haphazardly cut with a dull knife and the bigger chunks were excessively chewy. Thin slices are perfect for the fatty pieces because pork needs fat! Not a deal breaker this would have been 5 stars up to this point. My biggest issue is buying almost 2 pounds of meat the condiments were dis-portionate. One and a half limes for this much meat. The shredded cabbage, pico, and cilantro barely covered 7 tacos, we still have 33 more to go. Minus the 20 tortillas they shorted us it was still not enough. Now we are down to 4 stars. Lastly the flavor was lacking. Maybe it is a geographical thing; dunno. What I do know is the tacos @ Rana's in Nogales taste pretty close to the ones @ Delicias in Acapulco 3,500 miles away. This was a boring taco. Maybe I should have got the chicken or carne, but chicken is usually overcooked for tacos. However, next time I will try something else and amend my review if needed.

This clean little building/cart packs a one-two punch. Authentic Mexican food and amazing hot dogs…read moreat the same location. The Taco Servers are extremely helpful, however their English seems limited. I couldn't make up mind on the tacos for two of us, so I ordered two each of Chorizo, Chicken and Carne Asada Tacos with their Green Chile/Ribs/Carne Asada Mashed Potatoes. They came with Guacamole Sauce, Hot Salsa and Lettuce, Cucumber, Cut Limes, Onion and Pico de Gallo Toppings on the side. $35 American out the door. Fantastic Tacos and especially the Potatoes. The next night, we tried La Carreta Hot Dogs in the same spot. The gentleman that assisted us was likewise helpful, although I had difficulty understanding, he spoke so fast. So I just ordered 4 different hot dogs including the Jumbo (two regular hot dogs in one "bun") and the Sonorense. I can't recall the other two, but 5+ for each. The secret, I believe, is the bread. These 'buns' aren't your Sara Lee regulars nor are they Bolillos. They seem to be excellent toasted thick bakery sliced breads specifically enough for the dog's contents. The sausage/wiener contents vary (cheese-stuffed, regular, double-regular, extra long), and they're dressed only with catsup and mayo. The 10-12 additional toppings (Guacamole Sauce, Salsa, Relish, Onions, etc.) are available "preparado" (by them) or packed in neat packaging to-go. Every Dog we tried was filling and again, Fantastic. $390 Mexican ($18 American). btw, this is one of 3 places recommended to us by locals. Yes, they know where to go for the good eats.

I can't remember the flavors, but all of them were great. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I love that they had the salsa bar with all kinds of toppings and that they also had it covered to prevent bugs & flies from getting in them. I believe they have a restroom, but it's kind of a make shift tent type of thing.. but I don't know for sure because I didn't go in it. They do not take debit so make sure you bring appropriate funds! If we ever go to Rocky Point again, we would definitely come back here.
