I come to this dive-y eatery every time I'm in Rocky Point (daily on most trips), and it is by far the best Mexican food I've had in my life. It's a major reason why I come to Rocky Point at all! Each meal comes with chips, cucumbers, shredded cabbage, four different salsas, pico de gallo, limes and, most times, radish slices. The pre-meal spread is amazing and will fill you up. I absolutely love the bean and cheese burritos and quesongo, which is queso fundido (melted cheese) with mushrooms. The flour tortillas are mouthwatering morsels. The cheese enchilada is a massive plate that you have to share. Every single bite here is great, the service is amazing, and the prices are ridiculously inexpensive. I like to go across the street to the convenience mart to grab beers. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning, just some giant fans. But sweating in Rocky Point is something you're going to do just about anywhere. I'd come here again and again and again. Muy bien! El mejor!

FYI check your bill they over charged us but the service was super good and the tacos were pretty tasty fyi you will have an number of people coming in to sell you things it not fancy by any means our taxi driver said it's the best place to eat. We wanted something other then resort food. Shopping all around.

Really good food. Large plates of shrimp chicken or steaks. The service was greAt but they don't speak English so come with your translator. Good local flavor. Lots of locals seem to be here. You can't beat a taco for 45 pesos. It's also within walking distance of where we were staying

This is the first place we went on our visit to Rocky Point. I was in heaven! Loved the 4 salsa condiment tray with chips that were brought immediately, and the open-air space, so you were still actually outside. Service was quick and friendly. My enchiladas were excellent! Best I've ever had! They spicy with a dark red chili sauce, and the tortillas were the thick home-made ones. The fresh topping really made it - tomato, avocado, onion - oh goodness. I don't know which part was the best. My husband had no trouble downing his tacos either. I can't wait to go back!

They advertise sopes y huaraches but, we spied an enormous and delicious looking piña colada to wash down the small but delicious chicken tacos. The tacos were 25 pesos each and the piña colada, which was served in an actual pineapple, was 150 pesos each. The tacos were small, but the portion size was enough for us. Most people probably order other things along with them, so just know that going in. We ordered at the counter from the waiter and then sat down and he brought our order to us. He did ask if we were dining in or wanted it to go. Tacos are served with a medley of veggies (sliced radishes, shredded cabbage, etc) chips, and a carousel of sauces. The sauces looked like: pico de gallo (or salsa fresca), Taqueria Arandas (like salsa verde), and the other creamy green one smelled like fresh cucumbers (I'm not familiar with that one, sorry!) All of them were spicy and flavorful. They are open very late and there are lots of TVs playing (in Spanish of course). You will be approached by strolling mariachi and people selling their wares inside, so be prepared to politely decline or shop while you eat.

This place was bomb dot com! The al pastor tacos were the best. We also got a piña miel colada that was soooo good. The vampiro was my favorite i had in any place from Peñasco. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good tacos. My gf got a grilled shrimp taco that she didnt like, but I didnt taste it. I only ate the carne asada, and al pastor.

Close to all of the resorts. I am a huge taco fan, whether they are authentic Mexican street tacos, Americanized, or texmex. While vacationing down in Rocky Point, I was searching pretty hard for delicious Mexican street tacos. The Al Pastor and the carne asada are always obviously the typical go to. However, if you don't wanna be basic and want their best tacos, order the suadero, the arranchera, and the lengua. Just awesome.

Gringas, my favorite food from this place!!

By far the best grilled shrimp quesadillas!! Let's not forget about the gringas, tacos, & bean burritos. Yes, simple bean burritos were too good not take some for the road.

Great little place. Good service. Food was great . We had a variety of tacos asada, pastor, chorizo and costilla. Would definitely recommend.

This taco shop is right next to the hotel. We walked there and found the aroma irresistible. They have a wide variety of tacos, burros, plates, and drinks. Even coffee! So we ordered shrimp and beef tacos, a quesadilla, and a beef alambre which is a yummy plate of grilled steak, melted cheese, green bell peppers, and onions. They have piña coladas served in the pineapple. The staff was really nice and answered our questions. The dining area is clean and the ambience relaxing. Everything tastes fresh and juicy, and its cheap. Highly reccomend.

Absolutely excellent! All 14 of us waited to cross the border and have dinner here. Worth the wait. They give you so much food. It was delicious.

Best place in Puerto Peñasco to eat tacos. No AC but they have huge fans. Very close to our hotel Peñasco del Sol. I would definitely come here again! This was our second time here, the cantaloupe drink was amazing! Les recomiendo este lugar para comer tacos cuando vengan a Puerto Peñasco, los tacos riquísimos y el precio es muy razonable y los meseros muy atentos y amables, el lugar está muy limpio.

It was delicious- we had the Parillada 2x it was just delicious and the pina colada was the best one we had!!!

I ended up eating at Pollo Lucas twice during my recent trip to Rocky Point, which should tell you…read morehow much I enjoyed it. It's quickly become one of my favorite spots for authentic grilled chicken. The chicken is the star of the meal--juicy, flavorful, and cooked over a charcoal grill that gives it an amazing smoky flavor. The rice and beans are also very authentic and pair perfectly with the chicken. My only minor critique is that the beans were a little soupier than I personally prefer, but they still tasted great. The macaroni salad was the only item that didn't really stand out. It wasn't bad, but it lacked seasoning and flavor compared to everything else on the plate. A couple of things to know before you go: it's cash only, so be sure to bring pesos or usd. It's also an outdoor-style restaurant with covered seating, and because the chicken is cooked over an open charcoal grill, the dining area can get fairly smoky. It definitely adds to the authentic experience, but it's something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to smoke. Overall, the food is delicious enough that I came back a second time during the same trip. While there are a few small areas for improvement, the flavorful chicken and authentic sides make Pollo Lucas a spot I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in Rocky Point.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

There is something magical about thinly sliced marinated pork on a vertical spit roasted over flame. My first issue with the pork is it was haphazardly cut with a dull knife and the bigger chunks were excessively chewy. Thin slices are perfect for the fatty pieces because pork needs fat! Not a deal breaker this would have been 5 stars up to this point. My biggest issue is buying almost 2 pounds of meat the condiments were dis-portionate. One and a half limes for this much meat. The shredded cabbage, pico, and cilantro barely covered 7 tacos, we still have 33 more to go. Minus the 20 tortillas they shorted us it was still not enough. Now we are down to 4 stars. Lastly the flavor was lacking. Maybe it is a geographical thing; dunno. What I do know is the tacos @ Rana's in Nogales taste pretty close to the ones @ Delicias in Acapulco 3,500 miles away. This was a boring taco. Maybe I should have got the chicken or carne, but chicken is usually overcooked for tacos. However, next time I will try something else and amend my review if needed.
