This was our first visit to El Viejon Fortside and it did not disappoint! We ordered outside and got our buzzer. We went in and enjoyed Fortside while we waited. It didn't take long and our food was ready. I had an assortment of tacos. The shrimp taco and the fried fish were my favorites. It was great they have the salsa bar, I like the hot salsa option, it really brought it all home for me! Great food, great service, great location!

My second visit here and it was again a 5 star experience. The birria is exceptional but the chicken tacos are my absolute favorites. We ordered at the truck and were given a pager, went into Fortside for a beer and within 10 mins, our food was ready. There is seating outside, it's a big area, or you can go into the brewery. The people working in the food truck were friendly. I highly recommend this truck to anyone looking for authentic tacos!!

I got the El Gobernador and the rock fish tacos. They were phenomenal. My family got the carne asada burrito. It was enormous and the meat was perfectly seasoned and the guac was bomb. I've got so much food here and it's all been phenomenal.

Holy cow! Alpastor taco on point! Same with the shredded beef, rockfish, and shrimp tacos! Transported us right back to Mexico. Gosh dang! Get down here today to get these tacos. Service = Amazing! Their salsa with the chips and salsa... well words can't describe! The only thing this brewery and incredible taco cart are missing... is a beach! I'll skip the beach all day for these tacos and beer! Boom! We'll be back! Keep up the great work y'all!

Always love to get tacos from this food cart! Went to Fortside for the first time and had to get a quesa birria taco to go with my beer. That's my favorite taco to get! So good! My husband tried the mahi mahi taco and he liked it. Food typically comes out quick and the service is good. Seating right outside the cart that is covered or seating inside. Check them out when you're getting a beer!

Another location located at a great brewery in Vancouver, Fortside Brewing. El Viejan offers up some authentic Mexican style favorites and easy is prepared fresh and full of flavor. My go to is the birria, fish tacos and the carne asada. So good that you must give them a try.

We got food while at the taphouse right behind it. The prices are good, and the food was fresh and hot. At first I was uncomfortable about 8 bucks for chips and salsa....until they told us the salsa was for a group (they give you a lot) and it's made fresh. I hate to say it....but I'd pay for the salsa again (the chips are only two dollars per bag). The empanada was amazing. By far my favorite thing I tried. I also loved the fried oyster tacos. My partner got the Pollo asada tacos and said they were great (he got pickled onions on them as a side). I highly recommend trying all of their salsas. Great flavor (especially the habanero)

I've heard a lot about this spot, the tacos are good. I wouldn't say amazing, but it's because I've eaten lots of tacos in SoCal. They give a lot of filling for their tacos and the corn tortillas taste delicious. Orders came decently quick and I could tell each order was made fresh. The staff suggested some of the popular seafood tacos people order and so I got those - the fried rockfish taco and the el gobernador. The el gobernador is something I haven't had before, lots of cheese stuffed in what seems to be two tortilla with lots of shrimp and there's some sauce. It was pretty good. The fried rockfish taco had freshly fried rockfish. Crispy, juicy, topped with cabbage, pickled onions and a sauce. I also got the carne asada and al pastor which was okay. Good amount of meet to toppings. I also got a Jamaica not pictured which was a nice refreshing drink. Based on their location, they are outside a brewery so you could also get other drinks. There's decent amount of parking here and there's indoor and outdoor seating. Overall good experience, definitely recommend their seafood tacos.

He explained that this is their second location (first one is in West Linn), they don't use any MSG or frozen food, and they only have one fried dish on their menu. We ordered house margaritas and taquitos from the happy hour menu, and the molcajete. Everything was fresh and delicious! Spanish speaking staff. Warm chips and good salsa. Decent rice and beans. The not so good: taco shells were not made on site, seem to be from a package. The margarita was not tasty, the mix was off and the house tequila was not so good. I could only finish half of it. Being my first time, I asked for her recommendation from the hostess on what to order? Instead of rising to the occasion, she immediately said I don't eat meat then proceeded to tell me about all the high dollar meat items. lol I could not take her recommendation to heart. I went with a somewhat safe bet of two crunchy tacos. The rice and beans were decent. The shells were crispy but flavorless. The salsa and chips were decent. The chips were warm. I finished the two tacos half the margarita and left. Would I go back here again? Probably not, with so many places to eat in this area, but I had to give it a shot. I overheard the table next to me complaining about their fajitas. The gentleman said "this is just Chuck steak" and I had to laugh out loud before I left. Disclaimer.
