I'm sharing some pictures, one from the day of my appointment (Sunday) and more from four days later (Thursday). My nails are already looking quite grown out, even though it's not been a full week. I'm also noticing some lifting on my gel X nails, and my big toe on the left foot feels a bit irritated. I ended up paying $88 with a 20% off discount, and with the tip, it came to $110. But I went in about a week ago and the decorations were all about USA, AMERICA, everything was red white and blue. But what really disturbed me were the "1917 star ornaments" that were hanging on the tree. Well that was not a favorable time for Black ppl. So all while I'm getting my nails done I'm looking at all of this and being reminded of the past and current state of America. But in case ICE rolls up, they can say "Hey, we are on your side. We love the racism you're displaying to the Latinos, but we are good. We are with you." I don't hate anyone. The White ppl in their were ok. There were a couple of looks, which I expected. But nothing was said to me. Thank God. Am I mad at this shop? I mean I get it. But at the same time it was very insensitive to Black ppl. That's all I wanted to say. Tony was also honest about my daughter's safety (being a minor), but will def tag her along when she's of legal age to give her system a boost. And I will definitely come back to try other services and recommend Jake and Tony to my friends. The front desk staff is also very welcoming and neat. She made sure that everything was sanitized before the next client. Love this clinic. Overall clean, relaxing, professionals and more. My only regret is wishing I found it sooner.
