I first tried the black sesame matcha, one of my fave drinks of all time, as it combines two of my most favorite flavors. It was executed perfectly, and I liked it so well that I went back for round two and got the black sesame hojicha, which was just as good. I was worried the black sesame would be too intense for the matcha, however, it balanced the texture as black sesame was thick and velvety. The drink had a matcha earthiness with a pleasant nutty finish. I would still come back to try the other flavors as Ginger and rose both sound interesting.

Love their little shop it's a great place to buy housewarming gifts. I've been coming here for a few years and as a nanny, my only gripe is it's digital or card payments only. I know it's common in the Bay Area because of theft, but I've never been able to wrap my head around businesses not taking the national currency- if they took cash I would come in much more often.

In most other cases blossomy food and drink tends to be overpowered by a perfume-like aroma. In this case however it's balanced perfectly with the matcha, present but not too loud.
