    Orange latte

I go here after Pilates and it's so good and consistent! I like their drink menu it's innovative and has all the classics too. As someone with dietary restrictions I also appreciated that the baristas informative and non judgmental attitude. I was recently diagnosed with celiac and have insulin issues on top of being lactose intolerant, so I can't thoughtlessly eat anything! It's nice to know I don't have to be self conscious about being that annoying high needs customer here- the barista knew what contained gluten as well as had a sugar free syrup option for lattes and non dairy milks. That made me feel very safe and content here. The cafe has huge beautiful windows so it has a sunny airiness to it! It's really lovely. And everything is the perfect level of sweet with good presentation.

I truly enjoyed this delightful cup of matcha latte. It cost about $9. Even though the place was small, I was able to snatch a seat for myself. Service was good, it only took about 10 mins to get my latte with 2 orders ahead of mine.

Cute place! Love the spacious setup and the random Dragonball figurines. The merch on displace are nice too. The coffee didn't really hit for me though. I've had similar drinks before but I couldn't taste much of the orange here. Maybe it was an one-off?

Visiting family again and excited to have our favorite coffee in Berkeley. The latte is so good that we end up having a second cup! Excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.

I've been searching high and low for a coffee spot with the best banana cold latte. Not only did it taste fresh, but they added dried bananas and brown sugar on top. It was just perfect. The person helping us at the register was very kind as well. I was hesitant on ordering a Jaffa cake but I ordered one and he gave my husband a small one for free. Very kind of him. I really liked the feel and interior of the coffee shop. So much natural light! It's at the corner so they are easy to spot!

A beautiful café slightly out of the central Berkeley hubbub with good coffee drinks, as well as lots of warmth, light, and tables. A big mural of oranges greets you as well as friendly service. The music was good, and it felt like I was in someone's summer patio instead of a winter afternoon. I could even smell oranges (they ended up being in the middle of juicing them). Their eponymous jaffa latte is lovely with orange syrup and a dried orange slice for garnish.

A long overdue review, but doesn't change my experience at Jaffa Coffee Roasters! Was headed back home and needed a pick me up for the drive. I'm always down to try new coffee spots and I'm glad I got to try the seasonal mumkin spice latte. My boyfriend also got the seasonal salted caramel by the sea. Both drinks were actually recommended by the lady taking our order. She was extremely friendly asking if it was our first time here and how we like our coffee. Our coffees came out quickly and we were both very impressed. The PSL had its special twist which I enjoyed compared to the normal PSLs you typically have at other coffee shops. The salted caramel by the sea was a perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of savory. Really enjoyable! Recommend you trying out if you're in Berkeley or passing by!

    Winter warmer: apple cider mm!

Jaffa Coffee Roasters is an absolute must if you visit the East Bay. They have something for everybody. Of course, they're famous for their Jaffa Orange latte, but as a non-coffee and minimal-caffeine drinker I was so happy to see they had teas and their Winter Warmers right now. I went with their Spiced apple cider (SO delightful, hot, and warmed my heart and cold hands). They also had a cranberry juice based tart winter warmer as well as a citrus one, but I was really glad I went with their hot apple cider. And all had no caffeine! The interior is absolutely jaw-dropping bright, welcoming, and elevated. LOVE the gorgeous Palestinian surfboard yeeeeew! And they have so much seating, you can pick a window-facing table for a quiet chat with your friends, or use one of the many table to plug in and do some work. Saw some people doing work on their laptops and some students studying. It has such a great space and lovely energy for everybody. The Jaffa orange wall mural is absolutely insane. I couldn't stop staring at it. Definitely one of my top 3 cafes to recommend to visitors or tourists when they're looking for a solid cafe spot with seating. Coming back again with friends obviously. No outdoor seating nor does it look very dog-friendly inside, but I'm sure that could easily be changed if they choose to invest in outdoor spots since they're on the corner of the street. PS street parking was free too!

Came here at 7:30 am and there was plenty of seating. The staff was very nice and offered some suggestions for drinks to try. I got the chocolate rummana and loved the hints of sweetness from the pomegranate within the drink. Perfect for working with wi-fi, the seating and tables are great, and restroom is nice and clean. Please support this local business!!!

Jaffa is one of my favorite coffee shops in Berkeley! Service was great and so were the drinks! One of a kind drinks that are really high quality. I love the vibe inside as well, really good for studying or hanging out.

Cute little shop. I got an order Jaffa Orange Latte. I tasted zero orange. No sweetness. Just espresso and milk. But the location was cute with a lovely Palestinian interior. Would have been great to be able to relax woth a book and enjoy some of their pastries, but there is always next time.

    Just in Thyme (seasonal)

Came by yesterday for our Sunday Morning coffee. We were stunned by how bright and open the space is! When you enter, there are tables and board games to the left and a retail shelf to the right. When you get to the counter, take a moment to admire the beautiful Jaffa orange mural on the wall by the baristas/register. Beautifully done & really sets a good tone for your experience. Jaffa Coffee Roasters offers their standard cafe menu, seasonal tea/mocktails, signature mocktails, refreshers, and seasonal hojicha. They also have a selection of baked goods and some handmade bonbons. Since it was our first visit (and definitely not our last) we decided to try their seasonal mocktails-- Just in Thyme ($8) & Gen Z Beel ($8). We got oat milk in each of them instead of the standard which added $1 extra to each and there is a $0.25 Berkeley Cup Charge. We also ordered a Jaffa Orange BonBon ($5.50) and a small Jaffa Cake ($5). Our order totaled at $29. While we waited for our order, we entertained ourselves with some of their coffee infographics by the creamer and to go lids. The bathroom was also well maintained and was decorated to the general theme which was super cute! We also snacked on the Jaffa Orange Bon Bon and Jaffa Cake. I found the Bon Bon to be a tad bit too gritty for my preference but the flavor was great. A subtle orange flavor with a nice rich chocolate. The Jaffa Cake was unique- a spongey cake topped with chocolate. It went great with the coffee because it wasn't too sweet. The drinks were so fun & had a beautiful presentation. Each drink definitely takes some time to prepare so having the pastries to snack on while we waited was ideal. The Gen Z Beel was essentially a spiced coffee. It was perfectly bitter and the coffee flavor shined through. The Just in Thyme was my favorite. I am definitely biased because I prefer a fruit infused coffee. I could honestly even enjoy this drink without milk since there's already whipped cream on top. I especially enjoyed the dehydrated pear garnish. The owner was our cashier, I forgot to ask for his name but he was happy to answer all of our questions and even went through the entire menu with us since it was our first visit. The baristas looked super busy but still made time to briefly chat with us when we were grabbing our drinks from the pickup area. They also made sure that we were aware of where to get lids for our to go cups. Jaffa Coffee Roasters definitely made it into my 'East Bay Coffee Heads' Collection!

    Na Na White Mocha

Coffee - 4.2/5 - got the Na Na White Mocha, $8 for a specialty latte felt too expensive but their quality is good. However, maybe I shouldn't have tipped then lol. Service - 3.5/5 (one barista didn't seem as welcoming. Everyone has a right to a blah day but it can affect the vibe of a coffee shop and it kinda affected mine ‍.) Space - 4/5 (can feel restrictive when crowded)

I love getting their iced hazelnut latte here because the baristas happily adjust the sweetness to match my low sugar routine.

Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! My "hi test" cappuccino was spectacular, smooth and perfect! Honestly, It took me back to Roma where we had aour honeymoon 22 years ago! Bella! If you find yourself on Berkeley's Fourth Street and looking for a perfect roasted coffee make sure to hop into Artis Coffee and I know you will love it too!

Artis Coffee was okay…read more I had an Ube Latte, 12 oz, iced, with matcha and oat milk ($8.50 plus $2 tip) and it was good. Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.

They have plenty of seating, and one of the biggest advantages is their excellent Wi-Fi speed, which makes it a reliable spot for remote work or studying. The atmosphere is enjoyable as well. There's usually music playing or a sports game on the TV, creating a comfortable, laid-back environment without being distracting. Their food selection is also better than you'd expect from a coffee shop. In addition to coffee and pastries, they offer cakes, breakfast items, and a variety of other snacks and treats, so there's always something to pair with your drink. Their hours are convenient, making it easy to stop by throughout the day. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is cleanliness. I've noticed on several occasions that when I arrive shortly after opening--sometimes within 30 minutes to an hour--there are still crumbs on the chairs, tables, and floor, even when there haven't been many customers yet. First impressions matter, and the café should be fully cleaned and ready for guests before the doors open. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down their own tables before sitting. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and would absolutely recommend it for the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, seating, and food options. With a little more attention to cleanliness before opening each day, it would be an even better experience.
