I found out about Joyce from Groupon and decided to book an appointment. I am so glad I did because I had such a lovely and great experience with Joyce! She provided paperwork when I first came in to inquire about my skin, my diet, and my general health. She gave me pointers on how to better my skin through lifestyle changes and product changes without pressuring me to buy anything . Joyce explained what she was doing throughout the facial process and taught me a little more about my specific skin issues. The spa experience itself was immensely relaxing and the products used were gentle on my skin. I woke up the next day and still felt like my skin was well treated. I've made additional appointments to go back because I think multiple sessions will really make a difference with my acne and oily prone skin. I got a groupon for a facial and really liked the experience. I had a bit of trouble finding the place but quickly realized the entrance was in the side of the building up some stairs. The place is very clam and relaxing, the room smelled good, and the facial bed was very comfortable. The facial itself was great and left my skin feeling soft and radiant. Joyce is absolutely fabulous! I've had some very amazing and expensive facials, but Joyce blew them all out of the water. She is extremely knowledgeable about skin care products and knows what benefits different ages and skin types, this is her passion. I've trusted Joyce with my skin prior to my upcoming wedding and couldn't be happier with my complexion. She also gives an amazing shoulder, chest, face and shoulder massage during every facial. I brought my mother here and she also raved about her experience! Joyce had snacks and a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us, too. It was so thoughtful! Joyce performs her facials in a very small no-fuss facility, but do NOT let looks deceive you. Its perfect for her. I used a Groupon for my facial and couldn't be happier! Ms. Joyce did a wonderful job assessing my needs and explained every part of the facial as she went along. The facial also included a décolletage massage which was great. The space is small but very clean and professional. She took her time and was very thorough. I never felt like she was rushing and my skin feels great! She's highly knowledgeable so I am sure she can meet the needs of any skin type. You won't be let down by this facial at all! I hate to do this to a black, woman-owned business, but Joyce does not know what she is doing...at all!! She burnt my face really bad with a low-level chemical peel. I've had hundreds of peels before, and some much stronger than the peels she is offering. I specifically told her I wanted a Glycolic Acid peel on my face, and she instead chose to use Lactic (without my knowledge)!! I've never had a lactic acid peel before and I did NOT want that type of peel - yet, this is what she chose to put on my face. I guess because she felt like it, but it was SO unprofessional. After the peel, my face starting burning really bad and began to bleed...the next day, the place where my skin was bleeding turned into blisters on my chin. They scabbed over several days later - but I still have the scars from where she BURNT my face! Not to mention, my forehead had a long chemical burn scab across the length of my hairline where she burnt me there as well. Luckily, I can swoop my hair in front of it - but the scabs are still there. I always try to help a sister out, but the worst part about it all is that when I emailed Joyce to voice my concern about her burning my face and causing scarring- she did not even have the decency to respond to my email!! She literally just ignored an email from a paying customer, whose face she messed up a day before a big meeting!!!! I had to go and buy a ton of makeup and ointments to try and cover the marks and blisters on my face before meeting with a client. I am more disappointed than anything, Joyce seemed like a really nice lady - but now she has shown her true colors. I went to a real esthetician and was told to be wary about those who sell face services on Groupon. Clearly, her business is not doing well...so she resorts to Groupon to drum up business. But with customer service like this, I see why her business isn't growing. She does not know what she is doing and I would steer clear if at all possible. If her idea of customer service is burning people and then ignoring their emails - then perhaps folks should take their business elsewhere. read more

This was my first facial, and Joyce made it an awesome experience. Her space has a great ambiance, with low lighting, relaxing music, and a comfortable facial table. She was very gentle, and told me what she was doing each step of the way. She was also fun to talk to the whole time, and you can tell that she puts her heart and soul into this. She's very sweet and made me feel at home. A friend and I both bought groupons for this place in October. I called twice to make and appointment and reached Voicemail both times. After a about three days Elaina called me back to book the appointment. She made back to back appointment for my friend and I at 1:30 and 2:30 on Sunday three weeks later. She was nice on the phone but seemed a tad in organized. On the day of the appointment my friend and I arrive about 20 minutes early. We had trouble locating the place because the entrance is upstairs in a house sharing several businesses and the actual door is labeled for another business. We were buzzed in and told to sit in the waiting room. After a half hour we went to the intercom again inquiring about or wait. A woman came out and knocked on another door. Elaina then came out( in the middle of an appointment) to let us know se had no record of our appointment and she had someone right now and someone at 3. She asked to rebook and when I gave her a date she said okay without even looking at an appointment book. Since we live about 45 minutes away we decided not too book another and to try for a refund from groupon. Very irritating and unprofessional on her part. I will not be trying to book with her again. read more

Very unhappy and will never book an appointment with this individual again. I have sent three emails and called a few times over the past few days, only to have not one responded to at all (unprofessional). At the very least respond to a client by email to answer a question. I had bought a deal through living social to redeem and was having problems booking the appointment online. I could not book through living social, they said I had to contact the spa. Obviously I did with no luck. How am I to enjoy what I bought if I cannot even benefit from it. I cancelled it through living social (they were terrific), and explained the frustration to them as well. I thought it would be a great chance to meet someone new with the hopes of a long term relationship for my skin care. Never happened. read more
