Ok, Im not a chocolate candy consumer. However, my good friend Asia Browner referred me to your quaint spot to get my wife some candy. So, I got there and there was a line outside of the door (always a good sign right), when I finally got in the door I was greeted by a young lady with a big smile inviting me to try a sample. No thank I replied to her...she gave me the options available for purchase. I bought a box for my wife. Later that evening while watching television, she opened it up and because she is a kind woman asked if I would want some, again I said no thank you. I changed my mind and asked for a little bite, I took a tiny piece of candy and made an ugly face of disgust. I quickly came to my senses and asked for more. a co-worker brought some plain elan to work about 24 years ago, and i was immediately hooked. every time she went to grosse pointe afterwards, i had her bring some back to me. on my birthday, she brought me a pound box. every chance i get, i order some to keep in the house. when i discovered elan, we could buy it in july. so sorry they can't make it year around, and keep it refrigerated, as i do at home. i tried the different varieties, but plain elain, if there is such a thing, is my one and only. it's a sin to cover such a delectable treat with chocolate.. i was not surprised when it was voted the best candy in town on channel 4's 4thebest contest. please maralyn, make it all year and keep it refrigerated in hot weather. i'm sure, the world would make a path to your door. read more

I was introduced to Elan Candy when I worked for a group of neurosurgeons about 15 years ago. I was hooked with the first bite of milk chocolate elan toffee. Who knew I liked toffee? The toffee is so smooth , rich and tastey. My husband likes plain toffee but I am a big milk chocolater elan fan. It is like a fine wine. You take a bite and savor the taste as long as possible, it's that good. I have always done my ordering thru the mail and last year on-line.
