As a patient, I wanted to be seen in person. Well I scheduled a second visit. After being made to wait for over 35 minutes, I was made to see a physician assistant. The third visit was again a video call. The fourth visit, was made to wait and then told that he is in surgery and another physician assistant would see me. Frustrated I left. I called to explain my frustrations, and was offered another video visit. I understand video visits maybe effective for colds etc, but when a patient is in severe pain, and wishes to see a doctor in person, and we are paying for the visit, not sure why those wishes cannot be respected. Making patients wait and not respecting their time is unacceptable. We take time off work to come in for these scheduled visits. Extremely disappointed that I never actually got to be treated as a patient should have been.

Dr Jeffrey Thomas was able to coil both aneurisms and remove the clotting in the ventricles as well, in one operation. This is no easy task by far if you are familiar with this type of brain operation. My father is alive and because of Dr Thomas and his staff my father now has a chance to live and recover. Dr Thomas and his staff have done their part and the rest of the recovery is now up to my father and his strength and will to get better. I also thank Dr Thomas for his kind manners and his easy to talk to personality. He is very informant and also very accessible. The surgery went so well, I was walking the day of the surgery, physical therapy started the next day, after being prescribed 20 tablets of pain medication, I took only 3, and after six weeks I had virtually no hint (pain wise) that I even had knee surgery. A year later I am doing great . . . again with what I think is a perfect knee. Dr. Salyapongse is terrific. I highly recommend him and his team.

She spent a lot of time with me not only going over my MRI and health history, but also taking about my career change of becoming a physician! As an aspiring doctor, I loved that she explained the anatomy of my scan! I definitely felt that she was interested in me as a person and not just a test result or number. She's also very knowledgeable and thorough, along with having a super friendly and positive vibe. I saw her to rule out atypical migraines which most likely isn't what I have (possible but vague diagnosis), but proposed the possibility of ear fluid pushing on my vestibular nerve which is something that had not been previously suggested to me before. Though she gave me the option of taking medication to prevent migraines, I chose not to take them as I don't have a definitive diagnosis and she was supportive of my preference. I was taken back at my scheduled time and only waited about 10 minutes in the exam room. My only suggestion for improvement would be if the nurse who took my vitals introduced herself, but otherwise I had no issues. I had consistently unimpressive experiences with neurologists in DC several years ago, so I'm thrilled to have found Dr. MacCallum and look forward to following up with her in April. I most likely won't need to see her regularly (as in I don't have worsening neurological symptoms), but would not hesitate to see her if needed and recommend to anyone looking for a great neurologist.

He can't even at least educate you on what's going on based on your MRI scans. He's like a fraud doctor who's faked it till they made it in life for a reputation but not for passion. If you ask him or tell him about symptoms your concerned about he'll brush it off or ignore you, he'll rush your appointment even after you wait more than an hour in his office upon his arrival. He does get side tracked texting on his phone which does play apart of his negligence. Run from this doctor don't waste your time & money with him, find someone else!
