I recommend thinking twice about being sedated or going under anesthesia at this facility. This past week I went in for a procedure for my lower back, a day later I woke up with massive bruising all over my leg. I called and spoke with Jonathan who made things extremely difficult when I asked to speak to the doctor or to send him a message so when he had time he could call me back. Never heard from the doctor that day. I called back the next day. Didn't hear anything until after hours later that day and spoke to someone who wasn't the doctor and was told they wanted to try and get me in and that they would call me back. I received a call back again from a person who wasn't the doctor and still no appointment and said no when I offered to email pictures of my leg. 5 days later and still no word from the doctor. read more

This is the worst clinic I've been. I had an appointment at 12:00 Pm. I've got there at 11:45 Am and I'd filled out the form and waited and waited untill 1:30 Pm. They have not call me in yet after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting. Why do I have to make an appointment and waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and still nothing happen. I started the testing phase of having an electronic stimulator put in place. I have had severe back pain and other pain around my body for more than 25 years. I tried everything the other doctors recommended. I took pain med, I used ice packs, then rotated them with heat, physical therapy.more meds, Massages. acupuncture. acupressure, more meds including Advil, tylenol, stop pain. Bio management doctors. Sprays, biologicals You name it I probably tried it. I had a friend Dying from MS and she said the only thing she was grateful for was she had no pain. She said she wouldn't be able to live the way I did. I had gone to a number of pain management doctors. He prescribed another patch-like thing that you put in your mouth. He didn't monitored me. He barely spoke with me. I had horrible side effects. After nearly 4 months I had the most horrific pains and sores in my mouth. I have had real pain from my early teens beginning with classic migraine and so many things I am not totally pain free. I probably won't ever be completely pain free. My cousin and her best friend and one of mine too. Came with me to support me and to find out what this new Doctor would prescribe. I had prettyuch give up on something actually working, but this was a new day, new doctor, and hopefully a new life. When we sat down I in the waiting area.i said. I am here for my miracle. I am not a religious person. I have real substantive questions , and generally only believe in miracles about people finding their soulmate, out of the more than 8 billion people on this giant rock. I digress. I was serious I needed a miracle and walking into the Mission Pain Treatment center and felt calm, almost optimistic, ready for my new life. The one thing I learned deal with mom was the power of positive energy. I walked into the waititng area and what I encountered was the sweetest. Kindest. Empathetic young people I had ever encountered. They estimated positive from my point of view. My cousin went in with me to support me and hear what Dr. Gwalani had to say.. I listened carefully audition he had to say. Including he thought he could help me. He didn't offer the same old answers of meds and PT. It felt immediately a chance for a miracle. I was offered back surgery.more than five years ago. Some Spanish Inquisition type stuff with pins and rods. It includes the warning I could wake-up paralyzed. I actually told the doctor that wasn't going to happen, because in no way could I consent to that. Dr Gwalani was offering me excellent care and modern skills that have provided much success in the art of healing. Everyone hear is as I classified Dr Gwalani as Magical. I felt better just meeting him. I had confidence he could give me the results I needed. Everyone was so professional. They were a bit like honey bees industrious. Hard working, sweet, friendly, compassionate and happy. They all seemed genuinely happy to work at such a wonderful facility with good people helping to end other people's suffering. If you haven't guessed I am giving five stars and I am already pain reduced on the 3rd day. I am hopeful I will receive the complete treatment with lots of well trained skilled help I will no longer have such pain I could barely stand for 5 minutes at a time. Wish me luck. I have been going to the surgery center since it first opened. I have been seeing Dr. Gwalani since 2005, he has helped me through my pain ever since. Most of the time now when I go in for my injections or Radio frequency ablation Dr.Gwalani's son does my procedures now. He is great,very nice, makes you feel at ease. Excellent Doctor. The staff is extremely helpful and good natured. They make getting transportation easy when quick spot is needed. My only complaint is that I am promised pain prescriptions which never materialize. Nor do I get notified of the problem. I think this could be streamlined. After surgery, pain meds should be ready or at least called in to pharmacy. I always leave assured it is being sent over now! But it was never sent. Sometimes it takes days to happen, leaving me to suffer unnecessary pain. Also, expecting one Norco 5 per day to deal with post surgical pain is ridiculous. I can't take ibuprofen or Tylenol. read more

I've been going to Mission Surgery Center/Pain Management for about two years now. I've had a chronic pain condition since the mid 90s that affects multiple parts of my body and have seen other doctors for treatment. I am so impressed by Dr. Gwalani. His staff is professional, friendly, respectful and caring. His office is immaculately clean and there is parking right outside the front door. Appointments are usually right on schedule. Many/almost all of the pain doctors I have seen in the past have tremendous wait times, regardless of what time your appointment is set for. As far as Dr. Gwalani is concerned, he takes wonderful care of me with various procedures and treatments.
