Came across the cutest bakery on a quick road trip from CLT. There were so many tasty treats to choose from - quiches, cookies, cakes, pies, breads. When I tell you I spent a whole five minutes staring at the selection to make up my mind, it is not an exaggeration. Thank goodness the person helping us (owner?) was patient. I finally decided on a slice of peach corn cake. It was a little sweet and a little savory. I loved it. If you're in Mocksville or nearby in Winston, definitely make a stop here to pick up some goodies.

A new bakery has entered the chat and you're gonna want to respond. You may have tried Elderflour at pop ups or at Cobblestone Farmers Market and she now has her very own brick and mortar. This spot screams Gee and she has made it her very own. It is perfect in every single way. The space is perfection. The food is DIVINE. The staff are kind and welcoming. Make your way to downtown Mocksville and try out this gem as soon as possible. She also does cake decorating classes that are so so fun and a great interactive activity.

Such a cute stop! Parking is on the side of the building and there's a cute grassy area out front. Plenty of indoor seating as well. Several baked good options and teas/coffees. We loved the pies, cookies and scones!

We arrived to find limited amount of parking, no big deal. When we walked in we were greeted immediately. Starting with the front door and continuing through the bakery, they have an enthusiastically progressive environment. They had a limited variety of selections left when we arrived. This may have been because we arrived later in the day, and might suggest they bake everything fresh, which I'd say is a good thing. The cookie I got was a bit flat, I would have liked it fluffier, but this is merely personal preference. I would come back, but I would probably come back earlier in the day to have more choices available

We were exploring a winery in Mocksville so decided to give elderflower a try. I love the cute eclectic healing of the bakery. The staff was super friendly. We tried a chocolate chip cookie, scone and double baked croissant. The chocolate chip cookie was very good as well as the scone. It was stuffed with memento cheese, which gave it a great flavor. I also enjoyed my croissant. The pies looked great, but we had not had lunch yet. Next time I will try the yummy looking pies.

I adore Elderflour and everything that Gee bakes up. We've been consistent fans since we first tasted Elderflour's creations at the Cobblestone Farmers Market, and I am so happy that Elderflour now has a brick-and-mortar location. It is the cutest little spot in the small town of Mocksville, and the space is great for a small bakery. There is a nice area out front with turf and picnic tables, and inside, there is a variety of seating options for solo visitors and groups. The menu changes and evolves with the seasons, but our constant favorites are the Beans and Greens Handpie and the Pimento Cheese Biscuit with pepper jelly. Along with the extensive menu of cakes, pies, cookies, teas, coffee, and more, the shop also sells cute little goodies like candles, cards, etc. From the owner Gee to all the other employees we've encountered, every one is always friendly, helpful, and so so kind! We've even taken a cake-decorating class here. I highly recommend stopping by Elderflour for a tasty and unique treat!

A tiny sample of the available deliciousness!

Because they have almost everything and anything you could possibly want from a bakery. I was flabbergasted at the choices. Everything looked absolute beautiful. Besides treats and desserts, they also have quiches and sandwiches made to order. I ended up ordering two slices of ham and cheese quiche and two slices of cheesecake (plain & raspberry white chocolate) to go, along with a hot Mexican Mocha Latte (not pictured). The Mexican mocha latte was quite the wonderful surprise. The first sip you could taste the mocha and cinnamon, the aftertaste was a hint of Cayenne pepper. Truly enjoyable. We got home and had early lunch. The quiche was fantastic. Very savory with chunks of ham. My husband and I will really loved it. They also sell whole quiches for less price than most supermarkets around. We were going to save the cheesecake for dessert tonight but broke down and had it after lunch. My husband actually prefers just plain cheesecake and he loved this so much. I had the raspberry white chocolate it was a very lovely sweet tart taste. This place is incredible and the prices are worth it. If you're nearby you need to check this out.

It also allows for seating inside and access to the seating out on the patio more easily accessible. The cases are rearranged now and they've added gelato. I didn't try that, but it looked interesting. The worker who waited on me was so kind and helpful, and apologized for answering the phone while I was in there (there was no need, because you're running a business, I get it), but she was so polite! They always have a fun assortment of flavors of cupcakes but it's rather hit or miss what quality you will get. They have fun combinations and flavors and are always beautiful, but sometimes they are quite dense, sometimes super moist, and sometimes dry and will nearly choke you. My default cupcake is always the yellow cake with chocolate icing. I feel like it's hard to mess up. However, I tried a cookie this most recent time and didn't love it. It was really thick and hard to eat. The flavor wasn't great, either. This is definitely somewhere to stop in and try- just to say you did it. They were on Cupcake Wars, after all.
