Because they have almost everything and anything you could possibly want from a bakery. I was flabbergasted at the choices. Everything looked absolute beautiful. Besides treats and desserts, they also have quiches and sandwiches made to order. I ended up ordering two slices of ham and cheese quiche and two slices of cheesecake (plain & raspberry white chocolate) to go, along with a hot Mexican Mocha Latte (not pictured). The Mexican mocha latte was quite the wonderful surprise. The first sip you could taste the mocha and cinnamon, the aftertaste was a hint of Cayenne pepper. Truly enjoyable. We got home and had early lunch. The quiche was fantastic. Very savory with chunks of ham. My husband and I will really loved it. They also sell whole quiches for less price than most supermarkets around. We were going to save the cheesecake for dessert tonight but broke down and had it after lunch. My husband actually prefers just plain cheesecake and he loved this so much. I had the raspberry white chocolate it was a very lovely sweet tart taste. Went over to the Mocksville location to pick up our annual Christmas five flavor pound cake. We timed it around lunch so we could get one of their sandwiches. Our favorite is the white meat chicken salad on a croissant. It's excellent. Sorry, not picture. It was eaten to fast. They have other bread choices and sandwiches as well. Their Ruben is mighty tasty too. The staff behind the counter are always friendly and ask to help you with your order. I just wish their stores were closer. read more

Quaint bakery where you can also get a light kick of salad or sandwich. Stopped in quick yesterday become I was in the mood for something different. Got a Reuben. Came with a pickle spear. Sides were extra but I wasn't feeling it. You order at the counter and they call you when it's ready. Sandwich was grilled nicely and the corned beef was trended and delicious. A very respectable Reuben. Yes, I would order it again. The place was warm and friendly with all the delicious smells you would expect from a bakery. Food was great. One lady acted like she was unhappy because I had not been there and needed to look at the menu. I had to assume everyone else was a local. Yummy chicken salad on sourdough and a side of broccoli salad. I love that everything tastes so fresh and is not loaded down with lots of mayonnaise. Ketchie Creek makes delicious desserts and sells them at a reasonable price. We are particularly a fan of their Shadow Cake. They offer a variety of cakes that all sound amazing. After much contemplation we decided on the shadow cake and were certainly not disappointed. The 6" cake ($19) was a perfect size for us. The cake was rich and moist, the buttercream just melted in your mouth, and the ganache was very good. After finishing my slice I immediately wanted another piece. I recommend visiting one of their locations and trying their desserts. I look forward to returning to try one of their other cakes (likely the triple chocolate or double fudge mound!). read more
