What most people need to realize, is the importance of building a relationship with the staff caring for your loved one. It is a team effort. This is a care facility. They cannot and should not be expected to give private duty nursing services. It is unrealistic for any facility to be expected to do this. You have to be willing to reach out to the staff and work with them. Come to them with concerns, but also realize a thank you goes a long way when you do this very hard work. I can't begin to thank the staff for the care dad received especially during his final days. I stayed with my dad to care for him and make sure he knew he was not alone. I believe that was my honor and duty, but this staff cared for me as well as my dad. The concern for my well being touched me to my core. I will not forget the compassion my father and I received by all the staff. The flower arrangement that was sent to the funeral home was so beautiful and very appreciated. Staff who became friends were there at the funeral home to support me and my family. Their concern did not stop as dad was taken from the facility. If you are looking for a facility to "team care" for your loved one, stop looking, the Lakes of Sylvania should be strongly considered. I will only refer folks to this facility.

The director, the nurses, the physical therapists, the chef, the cleaning department and various departments ALL provided the best of care possible. The communication which existed between Lakes of Sylvania and her family was also tremendous. Each day an updated Covid report was to be found in my email and a weekly video was posted to inform all families members of the events of the week. I was able the connect in person with the staff whenever I so desired. My dear one got the BEST of care and compassion from everyone within the walls of Lakes of Sylvania. I would give this campus my highest recomendation. I owe them my deepest gratitude.

The kitchen is the perfect size for an elders needs and can accommodate visiting family members as well. The bathrooms are very spacious, definitely a luxury. I was happy to hear of the many options available to the residents when it comes to activities, such as yoga, bingo, cards, crafts, aerobics, etc. The staff is so friendly and truly go above and beyond to make sure your loved ones needs are being met! I can assure you, this is not your typical senior living building, it is beyond beautiful and small enough that each staff member treats you like a member of their own family. She reviewed my chart thoroughly to see what had helped me and what didn't. I feel I was more than adequately treated. My biggest surprise and the lady that made my day was her assistant Shineki S. I had to get injection in my hip. I explained I can get them in my arm all day long but in my hip I stiffen up and can't relax. She insisted it had to be my hip. If there is a Hall of Fame for Injection Givers Shineki S needs to be the first inductee. She was kind, understanding, had warm hands and when she said "your all done" I looked at her and said "with the shot??" she said yes with the shot. I couldn't believe it I felt absolutely NOTHING. I would not go to a different Urgent care for anything. This is the best. The receptionists have always been kind and welcoming as well.

After they received payment, they refused to submit an itemized statement to Medicare (after many requests) so the insurances would not cover it and we never received payment for over $1500. They got their money and hung us out to dry. Heartless company, avoid at all cost.

Lately I have had a decent nurse but I still feel uncomfortable going there plus I don't feel heard when I try talk to the doctor I get cut off or I get the blame instead of being heard he is a decent doctor and has been nice at this Clinic I recently remembered where I know him from I'm sure it's him and why I left pain management to start with and ended up going through this mess. I'm actually tired of going to hospitals and appointments just to feel more depressed but lately like I said the nurse I have lately has been great but I would not recommend to anyone else especially if they have disabilities or suffer from any ptsd. They are not trained for that or know how to act . They just don't only reason I'll give 4 stars is because the nurse I have has been great actually she deserves 5 stars but the place doesn't.
