Complete renovation of first floor after the historic Houston Freeze of February 2021 In February 2021, Houston experienced an unprecedented snowstorm, freeze, and prolonged loss of power. The forever home we just purchased in October 2020 experienced pipe bursts in the galvanized plumbing between the first and second floor. The pouring water exposed the entire first floor to water damage. Like the hundreds-of-thousands of other Houston homeowners, we were confused, afraid, and overwhelmed. We phoned several plumbing and restoration companies - some seeming legit while others seeking substantial money upfront. Eldridge Roofing and Restoration had the best reviews on Angie's List, Google, and other forums. So we started to research Eldridge, and at one point I actually found myself trying to find bad reviews - their clients were committed to them. Yes, indeed! In this frenzied time, we were able to get the water to the compromised areas shut off right away. Afterward, we "chose" to wait for the 13 days for Eldridge to visit and provide an assessment - No pressure. The best decision by far! Once we agreed, they included the homeowners in each step of the renovation. Our project was big, and Eldridge took it in in stride - They have the experience and expertise to work directly with the insurance instead of demanding an unsecured payment upfront. As we rebuilt our forever home, we added modifications and upgrades. They carefully separated tasks and supplements. We felt secure with the contractors entering our home: cabinet maker, flooring, drywall, painter, etc. They were neat and organized; they respected our home, studs and all. July 23, 2025 Great experience from start to finish! My wife and I witnessed Eldridge Roofing complete a project on our neighbor's house and saw how organized and efficient they were. On top of that, with a large, talented crew, our neighbor's project was completed well before end-of-day, despite the amount of work required. This led us to give them greater consideration over the other roofing companies we had researched, and we were not disappointed. Our representative, Will, was friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable about everything and answered all our questions thoroughly, from the project timeline, materials used, financing, and even their methodology and procedures. This helped provide confidence and instill trust that their company could do the job right and to the standards that we were looking for. Additionally, Will was always available to help answer questions, be it later in the evening or even on weekends. This was service above and beyond what I have experienced with other contractors and service providers. When it came time to execute our project, all the team members arrived promptly and were ready to go. Additionally, everyone involved was friendly, courteous, and professional. The entire operation was well planned and organized, and everything went as smoothly as possible, with our project being completed in half the time that I had estimated. The Tech came evaluated my roof, helped me pick the perfect beautiful roof, the color just amazing and after the paperwork was done, they scheduled to replace my roof. They completed it in one day. He was on-time for our meeting, he met with the insurance adjuster at the house, took care of the paperwork, and the new roof was on and construction area completely cleaned out in less than two days.
