Ash was so sweet, and she did a fantastic job. I got a tattoo from her flash, and it came out absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful shop! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, everyone working there is great - kind, funny, and very accommodating! I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. Between all of the different styles these talented artists have, there is something for everyone. Planning on coming back here FOR SURE!

Got a walk in this past weekend and had a great time! Blown away to be able to get such a high quality of custom work, same day within a few hours. Everyone in the shop was friendly, patient and kind. So thrilled with my tattoo from Ghost glare. Would definitely go back.

This spot was such a great experience! I came as a walk-in & was accommodated quickly. There are several safety protocols implemented for COVID (face masks, temp checks, limiting the number of people, hand sanitizer) all the stuff. My artist was Steve Kaiser. He was so quick yet detailed. So in love with my new piece!! Whether it's your first or you have many this place will make it a very comfortable experience.

I had a great experience with Josh Egnew! The tattoo I got from him was one I'd wanted for a very long time, but had a hard time finding an artist for because its positioning (a piano keyboard coiled around my arm) made it very difficult to execute. When the day came for my appointment, Josh was totally committed to making sure we liked how my tattoo was positioned, and actually spent three hours drawing the design out on my arm before he even began tattooing. Certain sections of the tattoo (especially my inner elbow) were very painful, but Josh consistently put me at ease. He was very personable and chatty, and totally communicative about how far along we were and what good stopping points would be if I decided I needed to tap out early. I did end up tapping out before the design was finished, and went back two weeks later for a quick second session. I love how my finished tattoo looks and would absolutely recommend Josh as an artist. I will say that his rate was not cheap, but if you're looking for an experienced tattooer with great technical skills then Josh is worth it.

First shout out to Yelp for the business and then to the reviewers. I am very picky about a lot of things and the reviews helped me to make a choice while looking for a spot in BK. Now to the Electric Anvil artist, Chris Lockhart... LOVE HIM! He has the most chill, down to earth attitude, swag, whatever you call it, air about him. He is very through, listens and creative. I took my son for his first tat on his 18th B-day and the whole session went so easy. First of all, he did an awesome job on the stencil for the tat, had quite a few lines in it & he added his own flair to it. Took a little longer than expected but well worth the extra time. He is very creative and gets it when you explain what yo want, he makes that vision come true. My son so like it he went back to add on the the original tat and is now considering doing a sleeve or at least start working towards one! The spot is chill and very clean. Everyone is very nice and the environment is not chaotic, like some other places I have been to.

So I found out about this place from a high school friend. Went there over the summer to get a price quote, not sure who I spoke to but they were really pleasant and well mannered. Fast forward four months later, I was set up with an appointment for Craig to do my work. P.S. This is my first tattoo so I'm excited and nervous. I was getting a Sankofa bird but it was a combination of two photos. Craig really paid attention to how I wanted the piece to come together and gave feedback for the best outcome which I appreciated. After sketching it out the price was $250 vs $350 over the summer. I didn't know my pain tolerance and he talked through ways to stay calm and to breath. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and definitely say I'll be coming back once I figure out how to up my pain tolerance. ( I want more art on my back) Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for quality work. The beds are comfy, the staff are nice and the after care process instructed is effective.

    Beautiful birds all around...

Ask the Community - Electric Anvil Tattoo

Hi, are piercings still only available Thursday to Sunday or has that changed?

Just wondering if the piercer on site is able to switch out jewelry for me and if you guys have a few choices on different types of nose jewelry to purchase? Thanks!

Hi Rhiana, Yes our piercer does jewelry changes for $10. We also have an assortment of jewelry for purchase. Thanks!

    Do they actually do piercing?

Hi Lanny! We do! We have a piercer in the shop from Wednesday- Sundays. Come by :)

I have seen her work on Instagram and so I was not surprised by the quality of art that she is capable of. But when my piece was finalized, I was mind blown and speechless at the level of art that she was able to create. She was able to take the ideas I had and elevate it to a whole new level. She truly is a professional, never rushed and took her time with the smallest detail and I can't thank her enough for this master piece that she had created. On top of all that she showed great hospitality and was very accommodating. This was definitely worth every dollar I had spend and I look forward to more projects with Lynn in the future. If you really want your mind to be at ease with your tattoo, look no further because Lynn will make sure you walk out of here happy!

This tat can only be completed by one of the best tattoo artist who uses vision to describe her work of art. And believes that the future is in her hands. I have some ideas that I want to share with my tattoo artist known as X. The shop is located in a quaint side of Brooklyn that surrounded by other professional workspaces. As i visited this location I could clearly see the difference in lost shops and how this one is laid out. It has an open floor plan which relieves the customer of that claustrophobic feeling with plastered walls and loose fitting curtains. It is very clean, well lit from natural light with at least 3 stations for tattooing. I met Luis who is an amazing artist from Venezuela. His work can be found on the web. One of their new artist is mine. She goes by the nickname X- she was working at the Hawaii location and just relocated to Brooklyn. Her work and journey to the tattoo industry is phenomenal! You can read a small window of her background in this link: https://issuu.com/flourishdigitalmagazine/docs/flourish_digital_magazine_-_september_-_october_f/13 Allow her to design your next statement. X has a way of bringing out the details that work with your purpose. For me, this will be my Christmas gift to myself. For you, it may be a part of your higher calling. All of the artist are trained and refined by the legendary and world renown artist Robert Pho- a creative genius who's tattooing is recognized international for his black and grey works (see link): https://www.outlookindia.com/outlook-spotlight/robert-pho-wins-hearts-by-getting-people-inked-with-his-beautiful-art--news-201123/amp I would be surprised if he opened another shop in another part of this galaxy because he is out of this world! All I am saying is this: if you are going to get something on your body that last forever, the artist and platform art Skin Design is where you want to start and end.

Now, I was a walk-in but I had emailed with them several times regarding price and availability. I appreciate that they told me to call before coming in (which I did) because I didn't want to go in vain. Big Mike is super nice, chill and very easy to talk to. I'm a teacher and he's a soon to be art teacher so we bonded over that. Really cool guy and very patient and understanding. Mike took the time to search for fonts that resembled what I wanted and then trying out different sizes, never once rushing the process which I appreciated. The second thing was the lack of correct equipment. He used thick rusty pliers (which is incredibly risky because this piercing is STILL HEALING!!) and scissors instead of ring opening pliers of flat nose pliers. My brand new, expensive jewlery broke in his hands without compensation. He stated "this is the risk that you take". However, no risk was stated and there was no debriefing done. I've had rings of a similar gauge opened just fine. I'm very disappointed because My jewelry broke before I could wear it out and it was a waste of money because I cannot wear it anymore. He stated to me that "i've never seen a septum piercing this large before" which i could understand, but to me it shows that he should've declined the job if he knew he didn't have experience in it. This is my second weird experience with my septum piercing at this shop. The first time was when the piercer tried telling me what gauge i was at (assumed 16) and debated with me about with me knowing it was a 12. Then proceeded to say 20 gauge is thicker and 16 is thinner, which is opposite. The people on the piercing side here do not know what they are doing.
