DECEPTIVE, GREEDY, CROOKED, LIE, AND INEXPERIENCED. I hired Saiyan Electric in July 2026 to upgrade my home's electrical panel from 100 amp to 200 amp and install an EV charging outlet through SCE's Charge Ready Program, which included a $4,200 rebate. The signed estimate (#4599) came to $6,800 -- $2,600 out of pocket after the rebate. I paid a $260 down payment at signing. The inexperienced estimator who assessed the job never flagged that my panel and meter are located inside an enclosed patio, which later became a major issue. The only thing he was good at was pushing me to sign, insisting it was the best deal I'd ever get. I signed -- and later realized it was a disaster. After signing, I heard nothing from Saiyan until I reached out myself two weeks later. Their office then started the SCE application. SCE's field team visited and said the panel needs to be relocated because it's located in an enclosed patio, with trenching required due to underground service. Saiyan's manager, David Ortega, initially told me over the phone that relocating the panel and meter would cost $28,000 because of the trenching. There's no way I could afford $28,000 to continue with this project, so I insisted that the project be stopped due to the unexpected that neither both sides were expected. I suggested that Saiyan keep my initial deposit of $260. However, he insisted that since I had already signed the contract, I couldn't back out -- claiming the estimate only allowed three days to cancel. Mr. Ortega then came to my home and presented two options: 1. Pay $2,600 to cancel the contract. He claimed that work had already begun and that they had paid for meter spotting, materials, and city permits. I contacted SCE directly, and they confirmed there is no fee for meter spotting. I also checked my city's permit portal for my address and found no permits on file. This is the greedy side of Saiyan. They want to get more money from their customer for not having completed any single work, so crooked... 2. Pay an additional discounted price of $23,000 to complete the relocation. This is deceptive. According to their agreement, if a relocation from SCE is required, it will cost $2,500, not $23,000. This is a total lie. I am currently disputing this in writing and working with legal counsel to file complaints with the CSLB and the BBB. read more

Saiyan Electric installed a new electric panel and a new car charger. They also installed a circuit to my outdoor fountain which was added in the total cost. There was with the help of a rebate grant from SCE which Saiyan was an approved contractor. They navigated the SCE red tape and also took care of permits. The process took much longer than anticipated but that was because of permits and SCE approval process. The day of installation the crew arrived early and ready to proceed. It was an involved job and from my perspective they did a good job. Want to call out electricians Christian, Rodrigo, and Carlos who carried out the project. They were professional and did a great job working nonstop to get the project done in 8 hours and cleaned up after . Much appreciated. We still need final approval from the city inspector to finish which Saiyan is coordinating. My only complaint so far is that they added a substantial additional fee to trench out for the fountain outlet the day of the install. My assumption was it was included. If they had told me it wasn't I could have had the work predone for them at a much lower cost. I recommend Saiyan and their great crew and staff. read more

Very disappointing experience with Saiyan Electric. I was told they would come to my home today between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., but no one showed up. I had communicated directly with Julio through Instagram and provided my full name, address, and phone number. He confirmed that someone would come out today. After the appointment window passed, I called and was told that I was not even on the schedule. Julio said he would call me right back to see whether someone could still come out, but I never received a return call. I rearranged my day and waited at home for an appointment that was confirmed but apparently never scheduled. The lack of communication and follow-through was very frustrating and unprofessional. UPDATE On Siyan Electric Service: After much investigation, it turns out the issue with our air conditioner was simply a safety switch that needed to be turned on. That said, this could have been resolved much more quickly if proper procedures and communication had been followed from the beginning and could have spared us unnecessary frustration and time. I do appreciate Michael personally came over to take care of the issue. I recently hired Siyan Electric to install a 200-amp solar-ready panel and rewire our kitchen. While the project started off smoothly, I became uneasy when the original electricians (one being an apprentice) were suddenly replaced mid-project by a new team, again including an apprentice. There was clearly no internal communication, as the second electrician had to spend an extra day figuring out what the previous team had done. Wires weren't connected to the right breakers, and everything had to be re-verified. Although I trusted that the final work was done correctly, no one walked us through the panel to confirm that the circuits were labeled and functioning properly. This should be a standard part of the job to ensure the customer knows everything is in working order. Moving forward, we decided to turn on our air conditioner for the first time this summer--and it didn't work. The panel had power, but the A/C did not. This is not an old A/C unit. We called Southern California Edison to confirm they hadn't shut it off (they hadn't), and then reached out to several professionals. When we explained that we had recently installed a new panel and experienced a mid-project crew switch, they all suggested we call Siyan Electric back to verify the A/C was properly connected. When we contacted Siyan Electric, they said there would be a $279 service fee if it turned out not to be related to the service panel. But how would we, as customers, know if it is or isn't the panel, especially since we were never walked through the circuits in the first place? I also reached out to Michael, the owner, who said he would send someone the next day. He did not mention any service fee. I stayed home all day waiting, but no one showed up. I received no call, no estimate, no cancellation--nothing. The following day, I reached out again, and finally got a call to set up an appointment with a $279 fee if it wasn't their issue. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service Siyan Electric has provided. The lack of accountability, poor internal communication, and failure to properly finalize the job or follow through on promises is unacceptable. Be cautious, if something goes wrong later, and they need to return, you may be charged a high service fee even if they didn't complete things properly the first time, but how would we know. We recently requested an electric panel update with EV and solar readiness. In addition, all outlets and switches were updated to code. They met with my partner and explained the process and answered all questions. They assisted us with the application to SCE that pays $4,200 and we qualified. In addition, they offered assistance with a loan application with zero interest and no payments for the first 12 months. Interest would be applied after the 12-month period. The team of electricians Jose, Carlos and Blake, were phenomenal. They completed the work in one day. They were professional and kept us updated throughout the process. They took care in cleaning up and taking out the "trash." The cost was reasonable and given the age of the house; "Peace of mind" is the best feeling. We feel comfortable that the panel was updated and know that it is EV ready. We do not know what the future holds, but it is apparent that electric powered homes and cars are in the near future. wasn't gonna do a review but yelp popped this place up asking how my experience was and well- it wasn't great. kept seeing ads for them when i was searching up electric businesses to install my level 2 tesla charger. i hit them up on instagram and while they responded quick they kept wanting to stop by to give a quote, every company i had looked into was able to do this with a photo of the breaker and the install location. one company did a quick video chat. i don't have the luxury to be waiting for someone to come give me a quote and when they gave me a quote it was for $2k. every other company i contacted was nowhere near this price and able to do a virtual quote. i ended up paying $440 and the average was $650. read more

I am really very disappointed with Saiyan Electrical, I needed a panel upgrade because it kept tripping if anything was ran. I was also going to be adding a mini split AC which I knew needed a dedicated line. But what I ended up getting was 200 amp upgrade panel, which did nothing to change my situation with the overloading and tripping, because it was put together the same way. Michael even told me how he set it up for his mom with a lot of breakers for her kitchen because she did a lot of things in her kitchen, leading me to believe that the breakers world be spread out with load. However, I did not get anything changed. There was a waterline that was never used and did not leak which is leaking now. He said the installers told him about it, but they didn't do it. Even though my stucco contractor, reached out to him, because he noticed it immediately at his visit today. In fact, even though there's a 200 amp panel, I'm still only getting 100 unless I contact Edison ( which I was not informed of) to tell them that I have 200 amp. Which would be more money for the same thing. So,I will basically spend $4300 for a big electrical panel that changed nothing in My Home whatsoever despite being told otherwise. When I contacted Michael at Saiyan Electrical moments after the installers had left to tell them that it was still tripping. He told me it was going to, and if I wanted it to be where breakers are separated per room etc,. It would be more money. read more
