Budtender Jay was incredibly helpful and a joy to chat with. Came in looking for a specific brand and left with a few new products at their recommendation. And because the store is always having daily deals, listening to Jay and trying new edibles was a worthwhile endeavor because I wasn't breaking the bank. Three new product's for less than $16 is a steal. Manager of this location- please give Jay a bonus or a raise or some extra PTO or something because they rocked it. read more

Been a regular for years but new staff struggles with (giving them benefit of the doubt here) comprehending state ordinances vs state laws. Was told that in order to legally buy. I "must" have my expired ID with the Temp paper for my license. They barely glanced at my unaltered, unexpired temp copy w/photo. To be clear; it's the temp paper of the license, as in the real license is in the mail, recognized as valid ID in Oregon regardless. Another new worker comes from the back, assertively parroting their claim. That I "need" both IDs because it's an "OLCC Law." I ask, "when?" They respond "yeah, that's the law, we have to. Sorry." A short and frigid exchange. I left perturbed but immediately researched such a litigious claim. & my findings was common sense, of course. OLCC says that it is store policy and up to their discretion, so that "Law" doesn't exist. Anything close to that involves screening for teenagers and fraud, to stop crime. I am in my 30s and wasn't asked for my passport or debit/credit card to actually prove my identity. Just shrugged shoulders and tense vibes. So besides giving grace & benefit of the doubt. I feel profiled and disrespected by brash people who barely understand their new jobs. I wouldn't be this disgusted if they just said it's store policy, not the literal state enforced law. Especially if it was listed on the company's store policy list. Neither was the case. Learn the law, don't just follow orders. read more

I cannot recommend shopping at any EL location any longer. A few weeks ago I bought some product here, brought it home and it was completely destroyed inside. When I called to see if I could exchange it for one that was usable they said no. For a defective product all they could do was offer me a 15% coupon. It's been almost a month now and they've done nothing to make this right. I have bought from here several times before but for some reason, today they wouldn't accept my medical card. To get you up to speed: I am 20 years old with a medical card and they denied me service because I am underage. Oh, AND I already have an account with electric lettuce. I have been through this situation several times before, but I still think that the people who work at dispensaries should be educated. It is ILLEGAL to deny me service if they do in fact take medical cards. Why would I have a medical card if it can't be accepted? I literally get secondhand embarrassment because these people don't know wtf they're doing and they are the ones working there. I'm tired of educating dispensary workers on their own jobs. They were nice about it, nicer than some other experiences I've had. But I will still not be returning to a dispensary with workers who don't know how to do their job. read more

I wasn't intending to go to any dispensary during my vacation in Portland but as I was heading to eat dinner I saw electric lettuce and figured I should check it out. Initially the worker seemed okay, she greeted me and asked how I was doing. It felt awkward or maybe her fake smile made me feel a little uneasy but after checking in she asks if I have ever been to a dispensary before. I say yes but only in California, not Oregon. She brings me over to the shelves and shows the pens, pre rolls etc. she tells me that all this is different from California, not sure how but the way she gave her spiel felt rude and condescending. It definitely wasn't like California, because anytime I went to a dispensary there, the workers were fairly kind and welcoming and were willing to answer any questions I had. In terms of any product they had, nothing seemed particularly different or special from what I could see. I ask this woman one question, and she jumps down my throat. I'm not well versed with many things cannabis related, if I go to a dispensary it's for fun or to buy for loved ones. I knew immediately after talking to her I didn't want to buy anything but I felt too awkward to leave right away so I looked at their stuff for a couple of minutes, thanked them for their time and left. I'm not sure if there's a norm here I'm missing being an outsider but that woman was so off putting. Are all dispensaries in Portland like this? read more

I felt prompted to write a review since the only other review on here (from Fallon A) seems to be for another business. I find that CBD gummies (Wyld) are essential for combating insomnia. (I begin with a half gummy, and take another half if that doesn't work.) I have been to only one other pot shop, on Prescott, and it was dark, kind of creepy (like a Hollywood representation of an illegal biz), and, they charged higher prices. Best: this place offers a senior discount, and they discount something (edibles on Mondays) every day. The price they quoted is the price with the high OR cannabis tax included, so there were no surprises at checkout. They were welcoming and helpful, and will provide a cute little paper shopping bag.
