He originally quoted me $2,500 for parts and labor. He first asked for a $500 deposit to order the unit, then later claimed he was picking it up and needed another $800 to finish paying for it. I sent him a total of $1,300 through Zelle and Apple Cash. On the original installation date, August 7th, he canceled 10 minutes before our appointment because of a family emergency. I was understanding and agreed to reschedule. He then failed to follow through again, and I even called out of work for the rescheduled installation--only for him to not show up. After taking my $1,300, he completely stopped responding to my calls and texts. I have repeatedly asked for either my $1,300 back or the AC unit I already paid for, and he has provided NEITHER. At this point, he has $1,300 of my money, I have no AC unit, no installation, and no response. I gave him multiple opportunities to make this right. Do not give this guy money upfront. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend or hire him.

Steve answered my call on a Saturday morning and was over within a couple hours. He took the time to really investigate the problem and found a burned connection inside the AC disconnect that everyone else had missed. He made a temporary repair to get my AC safely running again while we wait for the replacement disconnect, and after running for hours in 100+ degree weather, the breaker hasn't tripped once. I was able to tell him what I wanted without the details, he was able to fill in all the blanks without much help from me. The last thing I did was the kitchen. He wired it, working with the kitchen company I hired to install cabinets and counters. It wasn't easy because he had to come and go in between their work depending what what they were doing.
