For those with an electric vehicle or hybrid, this makes visiting Hood River even more attractive. Driving through the Columbia Gorge the winds are often quite gusty which really drains the charge. Or better said, it takes far more energy. Knowing there are several EVCS available reduces the stress! The 5 free stations are typically in use so make sure you know where the others are in case it's not your lucky day! Often we use the paid EVCS on Columbia Street in the far end of the parking lot where the Farmers Market is located. There is a time limit, as there should be, so make sure you don't leave your car there all day. If you do, expect a ticket or at the least, someone wink disconnect the hose so that they can rightfully charge their vehicle. Another good spot is the Walmart parking lot, a landmark that most are familiar with and also right off the first Hood River exit if you are heading East. Some of the vineyards, life my favorite Stave & Stone, have installed EVCS. They have a regular and a Telsa Supercharger in their lot for guests.

The food was delicious; each of us ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their meal. I got the salmon fish and chips, and it was SO good. I'm so used to fish and chips being made with cod or other white fish, so this was a fun change. Despite being a pub, this place is family-friendly. The kid's menu was perfect for my little nephew, and my sister was very pleased with the quality of his burger meat and the fact that you can sub fries for veggie sticks for kiddos. Full Sail is a very well respected micro brewery, founded in 1987 and the first craft brewery in the Pacific Northwest to bottle its beer. It's flagship Amber has won numerous awards, including recently in 2025 a Gold Medal at the NY International Beer Competition (along with the brewery being named Oregon Brewery of the Year). It has a large line-up of beers brewed inhouse There is a large paid parking lot across the street at $1.25 per hour, payable via credit card through nearby kiosks. Once entering, there is a long hallway, walking past the working areas of the brewery, until getting to the restaurant area. It has views of I-84, and further the Columbia River. The outdoor patio was not open (drizzling outside), and it was pretty crowded inside but we got lucky to be seated at a table near windows with a view. There have lunch and happy hour specials during weekdays. The lunch special is 1/2 of a sandwich (grilled cheese this day) along with a cup of their soup of the day (tomato). I was super excited about the Amber, so got a pint of that ($8) and pint of the Queen Wheat ($8). My wife enjoyed the Queen Wheat but didn't care for the Amber. I really liked the Amber, making me realize why I had drunk so much of that style earlier in my life when in Wisconsin, before switching over to wheat beer. There selection of beer is great, and a flight is the way to go ($18 of 6 5oz samplers). Buffalo Hot Wings ($17) - a decent amount of simply deep fried hot wings in a classic Frank's red hot buffalo sauce. Pretzel Bread Sticks ($13) - 4 large, warmed pretzels. Should have gotten the beer cheese to go with it. Salmon Fish & Chips ($20) - 3 small pieces of beer battered salmon, very dense and definitely tasting of wild caught salmon. It came with good fries and a really good, fresh cole slaw. There is a small refrigerator stocked with cans of certain beers for sale. Unfortunately, we were dismissively told that they were out of the Amber bottles for sale. So after our meal, went to the front to purchase directly from the front staff. Their Japanese rice beer from their Session lineup ($10 for a six pack) was available and what we brought back home with us.

The inside isn't huge but big enough with outdoor seating and dog friendly. There is a large window so you can look outside. It's clean and bright but warm, Saved the best for last- our server/bartender was really great. She was super friendly, personable, professional and made some delicious drinks. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be back.

The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable with lots of pillows, and the views - the VIEWS - oh my goodness - just stay there! Not only are the views extraordinary, but the grounds themselves are meticulously kept with gorgeous plants, trees, and colorful, blooming flowers. The staff was wonderful, too! I have already recommended it to others and hope to be back someday! Thank you to the owners for creating such a peaceful and soul-filling piece of heaven!

It's kind of funny because you'll have people in suits having a business meeting over dinner, and other regular hotel guests just dining casually in t-shirts and jeans. When we were there for dinner, we were having a really hard time deciding what to order, and our server let us know that there was a 2-for deal going on for some of the pastas. Each of us had been considering a pasta, so that solved that problem! Both were delicious, and we had leftovers to take home. When we were there for breakfast, I was feeling adventurous and ordered the lox and bagel, which I've only had a very basic version of one other time. It was soooo good, and very filling. Several other options on the breakfast menu also sounded really good, but I'm glad I went with this for the experience. I'd definitely eat here again if/when I stay in the hotel again. Since there's no free breakfast offered by the hotel, they give you vouchers for the restaurant, so you can get a pretty good deal on a meal.

My two small dogs may have had an even better time than I did. Perfect for an active getaway or a true hunker down like we did this month. Easy walk or bike to downtown and waterfront park. The budtenders are attentive and knowledgeable, and make good recommendations. The flower is fairly priced and of a high quality. Good selection of concentrates. They have a really great selection of tinctures and edibles, appropriately priced. Lots of RSO options most of the time. Overall, one of the best shops in town. You won't be disappointed with your visit and you won't break the bank.
