On March 12, 2026, Your technician, Sean or Zuriel, serviced it, told us it was old and might need replacing soon, and then gave us a quote for a new opener. We trusted that the tune-up had been done properly, so my husband signed the paperwork. The problem is that immediately after the technician left, the opener stopped working correctly. The garage door would only open about six inches and then stop. Press the button again, and it would close. In other words, we had a working opener before the service call and a non-working opener after it. We called right away and asked the technician to come back. When he returned, instead of fixing the problem or taking responsibility, he told us we needed a new opener and that nothing would be done because the unit was old. That is unacceptable. If the opener was "too old" to be serviced, then your technician should have said so before touching it and should have declined to do the tune-up. Instead, he worked on it, it stopped working, and then your company refused to take responsibility. What made this even worse was his attitude. He was dismissive, condescending, and told me to calm down when I was upset that our opener had stopped working right after his visit. I found the way he spoke to me completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I also documented the situation by taking photos of the truck, paperwork, and technician. He then tried to tell me it was illegal to photograph him on my own property, which was false and just added to the absurdity of the entire interaction. This was a terrible customer service experience from start to finish. RC Garage Door turned a working garage door opener into one that no longer works properly, then refused to stand behind the service. We were actually considering buying a new opener from this company before this happened. After this experience, that will absolutely not be happening. Currently, we're waiting for our refund that we paid for the tune-up service that ultimately broke our working garage door opener.
