She just said she wasn't sure what they could do, or how much it would cost to fix it. I had a colleague bring in the monitor. She charged him $48 as a "deposit". He was told that it would go toward the price of the repair however; was NOT told that it was non-refundable, which by the way, it is. When I asked the gentleman about it the next day, his response was "I don't work for free". I guess good business practice just simply doesn't exist with this scam artist. As a business owner, if someone is unhappy with my services, I make sure they are happy. Even if I lose money in the process. The only way I'm going to establish business, is if I have the rapport with people to do so. If I have a repuation for being a rip off, I'm not going to be open for very long. I'm simply trying to save other people money here. This company wants ONLY your money, and not your business. He does NOT care about customers. He is in business for the wrong reason. I paid $60 for a diagnostic that didn't result in my daughter's desktop working again. Had to take it back and they said the CPU needed replaced and that it would be $150. We asked if they'd take the $60 off of that and they said "yes", I wasn't there when she picked it up and they didn't take the $60 off. Calling them to get the $60, they claim that the CPU and install was actually $250 and they took $100 off. BS. That processor is $90 retail, and they say their install is about $60.
