First the base tile order was less than what was ordered causing a delay in installation. Our order for shelves could not have been clearer but still they gave us the wrong shelves. Since I was working while being installed, I have to live with that mistake otherwise, the entire wall would have to be removed again. Then, they gave us the wrong color door saddle, also very clearly marked on the order. Despite all of their mistakes, they refused to refund my husband for the door saddle that we did not use. In summary, the people pulling the order are incompetent and the store manager should take some lessons in customer service.

So we ventured out to the factory/showroom early Saturday morning (be mindful of their half day Saturday schedule) and were very pleased with our visit! The showroom has everything you would want, from upclose samples to detailed installation examples. Everything you would need to see to get a real idea of what you were working with. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they are quick to respond to calls and emails. We parked just around the driveway where the storage was and got to see the back of house which is always exciting! They keep everything very well organized and clean which is a huge plus in my book. Even the guys in the back were nice. We received our molding at the end of last week and they were in constant contact with us and delivery was on time and a smooth process (which is a serious blessing for anyone who knows how this can go). Im a fan of Kuiken! Already told a few friends who are also renovating in Jersey to look them up!

I recently dealt with Tom Kennedy at the Fair Lawn branch for purchasing Trex deck materials. My deck contractor's usual source for Trex was out of stock for two months or more. Tom was able to secure the necessary materials in less than a week. Delivery with their truck was on time and efficient. Communicating with Tom either in person,phone or email was always without any hassle. I highly recommend Kuiken.Very few businesses have this type of professionalism any more

Therefore, I'm not even sure I was sold what I asked for. I had to have someone come in to correct as many mistakes as they could. DISASTER. I was impressed with their service and selection and had no idea when I walked in what was the appropriate tile needed for floor and walls in a bathroom. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and explained the different types of tiles and helped me find selections that matched my vision. The showroom is huge with an extensive selection which makes it overwhelming but with Berna's help I was in and out within the hour. The delivery charge was reasonable and ability to schedule as needed. It's a little hard to find (around the back of another business) but well worth finding this place.
