I really had no idea what this "simple" bathroom entailed and it was definitely bigger and more complicated than I originally thought. I started by picking out tiles and that was the fun part! When my contractor started asking me questions, for example; "How high do you want the counter? What kind of light fixtures do you want and how do you want them placed? What is your wood choice for cabinetry and what color stain would you like? Where do you want the faucet placed for the bathtub? I soon realized I needed HELP. I was way over my head. I found Imagine That through another friend/client and the time spent with Steve was so worth it. He was absolutely helpful and immediately understood the type of look I wanted to create. He had so many great ideas and balanced those with my budget in mind. He has unlimited resources available to him in order to search out products and designs. I will not attempt to do any additional updates to my house before spending time with Steve. I will want him involved from the beginning to the end of the project in order to make life simple, not have any mistakes and see the amazing results.

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen…read more Eleven years ago my downtown Minneapolis condo was whimsically renovated in penny-pinching contractor-grade cabinetry and appliances, so it came as no surprise when with minimal use, the eight-foot long, once faux-white-marble bathroom counter-top developed fungus-like splotches of yellow and brown stains. I could live with this UN-decorative feature if I had to, but then adding injury to insult, spidery black cracks began creeping through my bathroom sink. "You're going to have to replace the sink and counter top," my plumber told me. First I contacted a nationally-known home improvement store that had little interest in my small bathroom project. Every time I called the big box company, someone transferred my call to someone else. I was frustrated. Then one glorious autumn morning, I noticed a DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen truck parked outside my downtown brick residence. I called the number on the side of the truck and was put in touch with Lynn Monson (designer). Within the week Lynn was at my condo and we were selecting counter-tops and faucets. I decided on an Onyx counter-top in Blue Pearl gloss with a blue pearl non-recessed sink bowl, back and side splashes, grab bars and a new shower head. In addition, he arranged for new hinges to be installed on a vanity door that was wobbling like a loose tooth. I was happy to review my proposal for the bath work and surprised that it was less than half the cost of what the large national retail store had proposed. Best of all, no middle-men or transferred phone calls to reach a project coordinator. On the day of the install, two strong guys, Nate and Chris showed up precisely at 8 am with equipment and a pleasant greeting. Nate wearing a blue Norse Track and Field tee-shirt (you know you're in good hands when one of the workers is a Viking descendant). Working as a team, Nate and Chris removed the unsightly faux white counter-top from my bathroom. In the light of day it looked even worse leaving my condo. Clunky, top heavy and discolored. "Good riddance to old rubbish," I said, as Nate and Chris carried the counter-top past me and out into the hall for it's final departure. Then, somewhat heroically, they carried in the sleek new Onyx Blue Pearl gloss counter-top with sink. I cheered them on as they installed the new counter-top; utilizing the industrial shop vacuum they brought with them as they worked. When the job was completed, there was not a speck of dust to be found. I do believe they left my bathroom cleaner than they found it. Sometimes you buy something and the first few days are thrilling. Then the novelty wears off. Not so with my upgraded bathroom: new counter-top, sink, faucet, shower head, grab bars and vanity repair. Now when I begin my morning ritual and water flows mystically from the new pewter faucet falling gently into the deep blue sink, I feel that I am living a scene from the Disney movie Snow White and would not be surprised if chatty little woodland creatures hopped up alongside me on my new blue pearlescent finished counter-top. And, isn't that a happy ending? DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen 6801 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park, MN 55426 PH: 952.417.9999

Our…read moregranite started crumbling after a handful of years and because THEY don't have our granite anymore they said our only option is to pay $7,000+ for new granite... the "Project Manager" was very quick to reply with an estimate for $7,000+ dollars but has yet to respond to multiple emails attempts over three weeks when he was asked for an explanation on how they can have a lifetime warranty when they stop carrying granite... Clearly this company is only looking for the quick hit and not long term customers. I would highly recommend avoiding doing business with them based on the lack of standing behind their crumbling products, and the lack of customer service.

The slab layout was never discussed with me, which resulted in a crude layout that was not well thought out. I contacted my sales rep who replied that she understood why I wasn't pleased and that she forwarded my email to the manager and owner. I never received a response. To make a long story short, I continued to reach out until FINALLY the owner agreed to replace a section of slab (after two weeks of begging). This time they had me approve a visual slab layout, which I did, and then they installed it opposite of what I approved! After pointing out my displeasure for another mistake, I was told the sales rep or owner would call me. It has been two days and NOTHING. This is not a company who makes customer service a priority. Once they have your money, if you have an issue, do not expect a call back. You are out of luck. I will never recommend this company to anyone looking for countertops or cabinetry! STAY AWAY!!!

Cory and his team did an outstanding job. From the initial CAD drawings to the end of job tweaking and everything in between, they went above and beyond my expectations. The quality of construction and expert installation (Thank you Tommy!) on a custom job in an old home was not a simple task, but these guys give great attention to and care about the details which show up in the end result. The project was done on time. Cory had an immediate interest in hearing and understanding what I was asking for. His good and timely communication was also very appreciated. Quality workmanship. I will definitely hire again.

Our project was multi-faceted, with some unusual requests. Of course we had the normal "update the cabinets" piece (Re-door, paint) , but we also had a large solid maple built-in outdated entertainment wall that we wanted modified and painted, plus a two-tiered island we wanted made into one-tier.. We also wanted to add several cabinets to extend from the kitchen into the dining space along the wall. We received the three bids and Kitchen Tune-up of Eden Prairie was the one that most impressed us. Not only was their price very reasonable, but they were incredibly helpful and flexible. There wasn't any request we had that they couldn't fulfill. Angela and Annette (one of the owners) came for the initial consultation. They offered ideas, listened to ours, and made some preliminary measurements and gave us their tile and countertop suppliers' information. A few days later, they sent us their quote and it was very reasonable and included everything we wanted! A few days later, Angela and Annette came to do the measurements. While here, they offered some advice on our initial decisions and we updated our design. While here, they asked us why we chose them. Our response? Their flexibility, ability to accommodate our varied requests, the fact that the owner found us important enough to come, the energy they brought to the job, and their personalized attention to us. We felt from the first meeting that we were more than just another customer. Our remodel began on Labor Day, 2022! Over the next few weeks, Annette, Tim and their team worked tirelessly to transform our 1999 space into a beautiful, updated NEW SPACE! We LOVE IT! They put in long days and even weekends to do it all right. When faced with an unforeseen issue, they solved it and everything came out even better than we had hoped. My wife and I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with everyone from Kitchen Tune-Up - Eden Prairie! I have told friends and neighbors and can't wait to entertain in our new cool space. I highly recommend them if you are looking to update your kitchen or any other space!
