After finding Elegant 7 Nails spa on Yelp, my husband and I walked in at about 3pm on a Tuesday to see if they had availability for 2 pedicures. They did! Right away two pedicurists were getting our foot baths ready and I quickly asked if they had time for a full set as well - they also did. Ruby did my husband's pedicure, Hailey did mine, and simultaneously Tracy gave me a full set based on a design I found on Pinterest. About 2 hours later, we were all finished and left very happy. The pedicures we chose were the top tier pedicures for $75 which included the longer massage and the foot bag treatment. Not sure it was worth the full $75, but as a special occasion treat it was no problem. My full set cost $60 + an extra $40 for the design work I chose. A bit pricey for a design, but again as a special treat it's all fine. Plus, I'm very pleased with how my nails turned out as well as my pedicure. Ruby, Hailey, and Tracy were all friendly, kind, and did great jobs. I'd definitely come back here when in Salinas and would recommend this nail salon to anyone who lives in the area. I don't typically get a manicure done, but decided to get them done because I'm going to a friend's wedding AND I wanted the trendy cat eye glass looking nails + a pedi. My nail artist was soo kind and thorough! (I went on a weekday in the middle of the day so it wasn't too busy) I didn't think they would have the color I was eyeing but once they gave me the cateye book I was so happy to see the nail color examples! Cost of both pedi and mani: $110 without tip. I feel like they did such an amazing job I tipped them 20% which came out to around $146. (I know this can get expensive, but if you got an event this is the place for nails!) This nail salon is probably the best in salinas imo because the employees here are very welcoming and open to walk in! As I was sitting getting my nail done people came in and asked for a nail fix up and they completely understood and was kind about it! You can tell this place has their regulars and I am def one of them! Will be going back if I ever want to get another mani and pedi! I've been looking for a nail salon for over a year. I have finally found the perfect place. The service from the front door until you exit is calm. The atmosphere is relaxing. The staff are so nice. My tech was the best, her name is T. I didn't feel a thing. She was the gentlest tech I've ever used. This salon offers water and is very attentive to my needs. The best part is they're ability to welcome feedback and express gratitude. Five stars read more

Not a good experience at all. I came in for a nail removal. Got a male nail tech and he was so pessimistic wouldn't talk at all and when it comes to switching hands he would just tap on it for me to switch hands he's working on. Noticed how annoyed he was, as clients came by waiting to be seen he rushed my service and burned me so much throughout the whole session, truly painful. He rushed and completely burned every finger that I sighed of relief when it was over. I was hoping to do a manicure but as he finished he rushed me to wash my hands and when I come to the station he sat another client. So never again read more

Called to see if they had time for a walk-in and they did. They weren't busy on a Sunday around lunchtime which was perfect for me since I never plan ahead. Quoted $40 for gel manicure on the phone. I came in wanting a certain color had a photo on my phone. One person was confident what color it was and it came out perfectly. It's a perfect match if you can see from the side by side photo. Plenty of parking available. Color: Bubble bath with chrome on top. Chrome was extra $10. Hoping it will last me 2 weeks because I love the color. read more

Luck of the draw? I came based on the reviews. However, my experience was unfortunate for the price I paid. I'll say the environment/availability is nice maybe a (3.5/5). Nothing fancy, but comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dirty and paper cannot be flushed so there is an odor. As far as the nails....First, the water for my feet to soak in was cold, which I was trying to let go. I asked for my toes to just have a trim, they were cut short. The electric file pieces felt too harsh to the point it hurt and the attachment literally flew off of the device twice while on my nail-which burned. She cut around the cuticles and I felt it cut healthy skin in multiple areas and I definitely had a couple "ow" reactions. When the oil was applied-it burned. I told the woman it was burning and she didn't say anything. Mind you, I got the lemon pedicure. So when the lemon was rubbed on the toes- that really burned and I could see the cuts turning bright red. Finally, I didn't realize she was doing a pink base on the french tip (she didn't ask my preference). Once I did see, I spoke up and said "sorry, could you not do pink please?" The woman next to her reiterated for her and she went to continue with the pink. The woman told her again and the lady working on my feet pointed at the other toes she had already painted. The other woman said to use beige or clear. She quickly filed off the pink on the other toes- again which hurt and proceeded with clear. I also said "ow" during that filing, to which she scoffed. I kinda wish the other woman would have serviced me because the girl she helped seemed to have a nice experience. Really disappointed since this was a treat to myself before I go in for my induction. It felt more uncomfortable than anything. read more

I've been coming here since February usually about every 3 weeks and I've never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They have plenty of staff, nail stations and pedicure chairs. The color selections vary from what you would see in a normal salon to chrome, dip, gel, and jelly color options. (So many shades to choose from!) Anne is my go to technician. She is very hospitable, kind and very good at her craft! I usually make an appointment but they take walk ins as well. I definitely will continue to be a regular customer at this establishment. read more

First time coming here and i am truly satisfied. The shop is clean & welcoming. I had my pedicure done with RUBI she was very sweet, and her attention to detail was amazing (ALSO SANITARY). I really love this nail salon. Anna, Kim Oanh, and a few others (sorry, I can't remember everyone's name) always make my nails look so pretty. They pay a lot of attention to detail and don't rush, which I appreciate. Everyone is super friendly and always asks if I want some water when I come in, which is really nice. When I look up nail places in my area that are best rated, this one always comes up. This is the first time that I have ever gone to this new place and I loved it! I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for a nail technician like Katie! I've always been loyal when I find the right nail tech, but it's been heartbreaking when they move on. I had been going to Bella Nails, but lately, the service felt rushed, and I didn't feel the same level of care. After reading amazing Yelp reviews, I decided to give this new spot a try--and I'm so glad I did! Katie nailed it--literally! I shared my past disappointment with a former tech, Andy at Bella Nails, and my first experience with dip powder, hated it. She took the time to assess my nails, explain my options, and even suggested a new almond shape instead of my usual square/rounded look. What a transformation! My hands have never looked this good! I will always rave about Elegant 7 in Salinas! I spent over a year trying to find a salon where you can feel the people who work there genuinely care about the quality of the work they put in. I get that 100% of every time I come to Elegant 7, I never even request a specific person because I am confident every person here will put their full effort in my pedicure. OK, not me, but my wife has been looking for a new nail salon since the plague. Asking women with nice nails didn't point the way, but Yelp did. Even with only a few reviews, what was said gave us enough to give it a shot. She's glad we did. I was given an estimate of 45 mins. for her pedicure and the tech spent 75, just to get everything just right. My wife's toes are gorgeous gold, and have stayed that way for almost a month. The salon is roomy and the people friendly and, unusually, doesn't overwhelm you with a chemical small as you walk in the door. We'll (well she'll) be back. read more

First timer here and I was very happy with my Volcanic Pedicure by Kim. It was relaxing and she did an excellent job with each part of the pedicure. She was attentive and considerate, especially in making sure the temperature of the water, stones, towel were just right for me. We didn't talk much but I didn't mind it either because I was able to relax and enjoy it. Safe to say that I'll be coming here now and recommending this place to my family and friends. read more

Katie "nailed" it!!! I have never had nails like this before. I called on 4th of July and they got me right in. The only salon that was open. and took me in for a pedicure and fill and I mean, I am thrilled with how good they came out. I have been getting my nails done for 40 years. I moved to Salinas from Moraga, which is near Lafayette and Walnut Creek. For a while I was driving all the way to Lafayette to get my nails done because I was going there for 7 years and the ladies in Lafayette know exactly what I like and don't like. So starting over was a scary idea for me and to start at a new salon I was worried I would be disappointed or not like my nails. Well I'm going on a trip and I desperately needed to get my toes done and my pointer finger nail broke so I needed that done. My pregnant butt did not want to drive all the way to Lafayette. So I hopped on Yelp and I found elegant 7 nail spa. Omg I have never felt so relaxed at a nail place EVER! It wasn't chaos or hectic, the service was phenomenal, the girl that did not toes did such an amazing job taking her time cleaning and Katie did a phenomenal job on my nails and she fixed my broken pointer nail! I was so relaxed that I started to doze off sleeping! I'm in love with my medi and pedi and the vibe of the salon is so relaxing! Get your nails done here! You will not be disappointed! Artists are hard to find. Attention to my poor old feet is VERY hard to find. My artist was kind, made eye contact and did a great job!! I'll be back!! So far I've been VERY DISAPPOINTED with nail salons in Salinas. Mostly a lack of attention to the job, the customer and their surroundings. I went in for a pedicure, nothing special just a regular trim and clear coat. Besides the fact that the nail techs kept switching between clients instead of finishing each one by whoever came first, they were unprofessional in that their pricing for different nail packages were not true to description. I had asked for the volcanic package that entailed a hot towel massage with hot rocks and all I got was an exfoliating foot rub with lotion. Also the work was very subpar, they literally just cut my toenail without making them even or filing them down. Not a happy customer and not going back. Those 5-star reviews are definitely fake. read more

What a little gem this place is. I wish I had taken photos of the salon. It's huge and spotlessly clean! Katie, the manager, is so friendly and sweet. Unlike other nail salons, it's not noisy and crazy busy. Tina game me a classic pedicure $40. She did a great job and my feet feel soft and my toes ready for summer sandals. I don't have the pretties feet, but the lovely pink polish was a perfect suggestion. I'll be back, for sure! Highly recommend. read more

They always greet me quickly, give me an honest realistic time frame & their pedicures are relaxing & thorough. I feel like they do not cause me pain or uncomfortable during the pedicure. Posting for my daughter who had a terrible experience here. I feel as though they took advantage of a young girl. I have never done a review before but as a new college student on a fixed budget I feel like it's important to tell this story so others on a fixed budget can be prepared. I literally googled cheapest nail salon to find this place. It stated $29 for a fill online. This is a splurge to get my nails done before I leave so i wanted to be as price conscious as possible. It was across town but worth the drive to get a good deal. I asked who I think was the manager "Katie" what the price for a fill was and she said $40 which even though it was more than I expected, I was fine with. As she was filing my nails she asked if I wanted them cut shorter. When I said yes she told me it would be an additional $5. I responded that it was fine i didn't need them cut if it was an additional charge. After some back and forth with another nail tech in a different language She then responded with that it would be an additional $5 anyway because my nails were longer then she thought. I was upset because she was changing the prices after I had asked and verified and told her this and asked if she would honor her price she gave me. She was adamant she would not. I told her then if it was an additional $5 regardless then I would like to have them cut. She then informed me it actually was going to be an additional $10 now making the price $50. At this point the Katie manager was making snarky comments to me, saying how $5 is not too much to ask for a lot of work and telling me I did not know anything and they are a good nail place and have great reviews.She also pulled another nail lady to the side and was laughing saying "little white lie" they continued to make me feel very uncomfortable talking and laughing in another language and making the whole encounter a terrible experience. The finished nail job is mediocre at best. She cut multiple cuticles causing bleeding as she aggressively filed. I will never go back here again and caution anyone who does to expect the up charging. read more

However, when we came in, we did not get greeted - like at all and it was unfortunate because there was two ladies at the front desk Yolanda and Amarie (Amarie was helping another customer and her service seem great. I wish she could've been the one helping us.) on the flyer for the package. There were some add-on services that I had inquired about and that girl Yolanda pretty much told me she didn't know and never got back to me. Didn't ask if Manny the masseuse did not look into it for me it would've been a bust. He offered an alternative service as far as a foot mask. That was an even better option for us so we were pretty thankful for that, but if I had left it up to the other girl, it would've just been when it was . confusion and a whole bunch of nothing Yolanda was the girl that helped us again no greeting She kind of just waved us to the back, pointed at the robes ask us our shoe size and that was really it Once we were changed standing there awkwardly, she walked me into a room and left my mom in the hallway and then asked me. Did you tell your mom to come -I looked at her like girl I don't even know what's going on so why would I tell her to come once we went to the room? It was like again we were kind of just sitting there like what's going on a few minutes later she brought in a glass of champagne for my mom so we hung out there for about 30 minutes before they took us back for the massage. I think it was a really big missed opportunity to say "hello Welcome to aqua blue. My name is so-and-so thank you for booking this package" or happy Mother's Day whatever but she literally didn't greet us at all. My mom looked bummed that it was starting off with a really lackluster experience I paid $400 for this package You would think once they saw my reservation for such a package they would've at least acknowledged it in some way By the time we got upstairs, I was pretty frustrated with the service we were receiving -thank goodness Ruben and Manny were really friendly and helpful. It probably would've been lower stars if Manny wouldn't have been so unbelievably sweet, caring and compassionate. My mom was really struggling getting off her jewelry and nobody would help her. I have really long nails so I was struggling. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Manny did a great job and I am very thankful for him. My mom was really happy with Ruben. But did I feel like I was there getting a luxurious experience for Mother's Day absolutely not! Did I feel like we were bothering them with a groupon package absolutely! The advertise these chocolates that they had, I asked about them they didn't have any available. It just seemed like a lot of missed opportunities and we were there the day before Mother's Day so any of the ladies that went on actual Mother's Day We're probably super bummed that they didn't have any of the accoutrement offered. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa. We have been to massage envy before and that's honestly where I was gonna go this time, but I was trying to do an elevated experience that was outside of a corporate place but honestly, I think even the value at massage envy is greater than here because again with those prices to not be happy it's just crappy honestly it took me a while to write the review because I didn't want to seem Like I didn't enjoy the time with my mom. I absolutely did. I just didn't enjoy the lack of customer service- if I was paying what I paid over there at happy feet this would've been a five star review but $400 later to leave unsatisfied.... All I'm saying is I'm down to spend some money and I'm down to spend some good money on quality stuff. I just feel kind of ripped off.

I've been getting lash extension since 2008, so I'm not a rookie. I used to get my lashes done is San Jose and Los Gatos. The techs there are skilled and there seems to be a lash salon on every corner. We moved to Marina 2 months ago, and I was bummed that I couldn't find a good lash person in Monterey or Carmel. The quality of work just wasn't was I was used, especially for the price. Driving to San Jose for fills was becoming such a pain, so I decided to try Nicole based on the Yelp reviews. Here's what I like: Nicole is friendly and clean. I liked the fact that I could smell hand sanitizer (or soap) on her hands. She uses good products. I can't remember the lash size she used, but they were soft to the touch and perfect for my eyes. They are thick enough to be seen, but not so thick that they weigh my eyelids down or look like I'm wearing falsies. The glue she used didn't both me (sometimes during allergy season, I can be extra sensitive to the glue). Nicole is fairly quick. I think it took an hour for a fill. Now understand, this was the first time I saw Nicole. She was doing a fill on someone else's work, so I think an hour is pretty decent. Nicole's prices are reasonable, especially for the end result. What I really like and appreciate about Nicole is that she is REALLY gentle. I have an extra-sensitive lash line, and she never once made me flinch. There was no pulling or yanking of my old lashes. I could actually relax and enjoy my time on the table.
