I was so nervous to let anyone do my nails and Linda was so awesome she had me wait for her and told me she would take care of me! And she really did! This experience I had was horrible. This establishment is clearly unsanitary and should not be open. While I was getting my pedicure the sponge she used to scrub my feet had hairs all stuck on it, and it was definitely not new. The pedicurist woman kept answering her telephone while working on my toes. I will not be returning here. My gel polish was chipping about 4 days later and didn't last long at all. UPDATE After writing this review I have been receiving unnecessary rude comments and messages calling me names. They are associated with Pro Top Nails because that's the only place they have left a yelp review on, suggesting everyone go there. People should learn to grow from their low reviews, instead of go after the people who wrote them. Very unprofessional. The person who is messaging me is Tom, and from some other reviews I see that Tom is her husband. Get a life rather than verbally attacking people on Yelp. read more

The best technician they had Kim and her daughter are no longer at this location please find them at LG nails between dollar tree in round table off N. Main St. in the Alvin square shopping center as I had stated in a previous review that the only reason I came back was because of my technician. I have been with her over four years + and will continue to come to her at her new location because honestly unfortunately this space is very uncleanly as well as unfriendly! First time here. Called asking if they had time for a fill and they said yes. I said I would be there in about 15 minutes. There was traffic and I was there in 17 minutes. I walked in and the guys said "you said 15 minutes". I apologized and explained there was traffic. He had me sit right away since there was no one there. I told him I wanted my nails shorter and more almond shape. He said "no almond is too hard for short, you can't do that". So I asked for it shorter and same shape which was roughly oval shaped. He processed to start on my nails. He was complaining and shaking his head. He couldn't find the correctly barrel to file my nails. He was so rough and ended up causing the areas around my nails to become raw and even cut me. Felt the burning from the file on my skin. I asked for just plain white and he complained. That white isn't a good color. He processed to painting. When I took my hand out from under the light, my nails looked horrible. The paint had wrinkled and he blamed me when I stent do anything but sit there. He said white is a hard color and he likes using dark colors instead. In the other nails he did file them down properly so my nails weren't smooth and you could notice with the white polish. He then restarted and filed the gel off causing my nails to be so thin and had red spots all over from the trauma. I asked him if he could stop because I wanted to leave. At that point I had already been there for a hour and 20 min. He said no and grabbed Linda from the back. I asked her ti please take the polish off because I would like to leave and she kept saying no. I began crying and really just wanted to leave. The guy did apologize but of course they were also speaking another language and it made me feel more uncomfortable. Linda did give me a card for 50% off the next time I come back. After 1 hr 55 min I was done. My nails look bad. They still made me pay. This morning when inspecting my nails again, I noticed that the acrylic was filed down so much it didn't reach the bed of my nails and are now lifting up. It looks as the I didn't even get a fill. Might give them another chance but really not sure. read more

So I been always in the look out for a really good place to get my nails done. Since I always have meetings and events to attend, and to look very out together. I've always gone to my old nails salon until one of my friends recommended me to go to Pro-Top Nails which I went and took one my friends along with me. We entered the place and they greeted us very polite and even cracked a few jokes while doing our nails. When I showed her the nails she said " whatever you want we make it happen " and they did. I went Pro-Top Nails a month ago and the quality of my gel manicure was about a B+. Not amazing, but good enough to go back for a second try. I really want to like this place because the people there seem very nice, but today they did a sloppy job on my gel manicure. I'm not a particularly fussy nail-customer, but I do want the nail polish to cover all of the nail and be straight and even along the sides. There's nothing mysterious about why I ended up with a less-than-steller job today -- about fifteen minutes into my manicure, a bunch of walk-ins showed up and people started calling to make appointments. I could sense the tension in the salon rising as the estheticians prepped themselves for a busy end of the afternoon, and that's when my manicurist stopped paying careful attention to my nails. It's a business choice that makes sense in the short-term (to try to squeeze in a few more customers today and risk losing a potential returning client), but not in the long-term because people won't come back. read more
