We ordered my daughter's quinceañera dress in mid- December 2024 (her quinceañera was on 07/12/25) we were told the dress will arrive late April- early May LIES the dress came on late June and it wasn't the dress we ordered, it was horrible and my daughter did not like it. The refused to refund us the money and kept giving us the run around, we had to buy her another dress somewhere I do not recommend this place, most of their staff are rude and unprofessional, the store manager does not handle her business, we called her many times but she never called us back. This place has no sense of responsibility or honesty. My friend ordered a dress for her daughter's quinceañera, and the entire experience has been a nightmare. They kept giving her the runaround -- first saying the dress was backordered, then telling her to come in on certain days, only for no one to be there when she arrived. If there was a negative number I'd choose that number. My experience is similar to others that have commented here. They gave me the wrong dress 1.5 weeks before the event. Had to purchase a whole new dress elsewhere. The place where we bought the 2nd dress said she has has 3 customers that were wronged by Elegant Guide and Quince and had to purchase a new dress. Not only did they ruin the opportunity of having pictures of my daughter taken before the event but I had to fork out 3k to cover the dress she did not wear and a new one. My daughter did not get her dream dress and was soooooo disappointed. After a million attempts in an effort to resolve the issue of trying to get a refund, the owner had a staff member call me and offer me $100.00. I paid 1600.00 for it. It is a slap on my face. I ordered a dress with them that was supposed to be "champagne" and paid a deposit towards the dress of $140. The dress comes in and it's a peach gold. I looked up the catalog for the dress and the color ordered was "gold" but was mislead to believe it would be a champagne shade by the store representative. I asked for any store credit to buy a dress with them that is the proper shade to match my event and they refused offering me the option to forfeit my $140 deposit (half the dress price) or pay another $140 for a dress I was mislead to buying. If I could give no stars I would. Don't shop here. I went 4 weeks before my daughter's prom for a specific dress. Drove 2 hours to get there waited 3.5 hours for a dressing room for Zarela to be rude once my daughter got in a room saying she couldn't try on more dresses. We ended up leaving with the dress we went there for and was told it would be delivered to the store in a week and half. After 2 weeks I didn't hear anything so I called and then was told the dress is on back order. Now I'm a week and a half from her Senior prom with no dress as her dress is due to arrive in June. I was then told come to the store for a refund. I refused and had them refund over the phone. Don't shop here. Worst store ever!!!!!!Has I not called when would the store notify me. My daughter found this business on IG, and we booked an apt 2 weeks in advance to try on quinceañera dresses. We planned our trip as we visited family in Modesto. When the booking of the appointment happened, the customer service over the phone was great, they asked all the questions needed from budget, colors and styles. The day of the appointment they were running behind schedule so we waited for 20 min for our sales associate. But once we got to business Mary our sales associate, went over details of colors, styles and maybe trying on anything else that we liked around the store. She was very helpful and listen to the likes and dislikes of the dresses. Thankfully my daughter had a great understanding of what she wanted, so within our 1hr apt time frame, she found her dress! We were in the market for a quinceñera dress and booked an appointment. The appointment was booked 2-3 weeks prior to the day. We received a call the day before from them to cancel. They said all there appointments had confirmed? So it looked like they overbooked and they had to cancel on us last minute. This place does not seem to run a business properly. Honestly... don't waste your time. If you do However, make sure to double check your style number on what you're ordering, because then when THEY order the wrong dress it'll be your fault for not "knowing- Double checking" the style number, because you know customers walk in automatically knowing style numbers. Summary: - Rude customer service (manager/some staff) - Unprofessional - Inconvenient I hardly ever leave negative reviews, unless it feels necessary. This experience started off nice and helpful with a girl that helped us find my sisters quince dress. It was the moment that we paid and signed for the dress that was over $2000, that we started feeling unsettled with customer service. We drove from Redwood City to Modesto to find this dress, which is roughly a 2-2.5 hr drive, they were aware of this. They got the dress in and they called to tell us that they purposely ordered the dress in a size bigger than we requested and that we needed to come in for alterations. This was already an inconvenience because we have so much going on in life and on top of that spend 4-5 hrs on the road for a mistake they made (3 weeks out from the quince) They obviously covered the cost of the alterations. At this visit, the lady who helped was rude (different from 1st girl who helped)unhelpful, and didn't make the experience enjoyable. We told them that we needed the dress in within the week in order to take her pictures for her party. We called to try and schedule an appointment to come in and they told us they had no availability, knowing that we are working with a tight schedule and obviously driving from a far distance. We had to continuously ask for them to make time for us to come. Try the dress on one last time and leave with it. After going back-and-forth with an employee, they finally said we could come in. When we arrived, the lady was so rude and told us that we cannot try on the whole dress just the top half because there was no time. We had to go along with what they told us because they were so adamant about not putting it on. when my sister tried on the dress, the sleeve easily ripped off the dress and they blamed my sister and said that she was too rough with the dress. We decided to ask for a manager because the lady was being so rude and making the experience so uncomfortable and we told them to check cameras and clearly see that the sleeve just ripped off. When talking to the manager and expressing our experience, she responded with "don't talk bad about my employees" instead of addressing the concern around her employees attitude and offered a pitty $10 for the sleeve rip. Long story short, i would never recommend this place to anyone. This was our family's last Quincenera to experience and they ruined the dress experience for us. read more

Quince- Sweet 16 dress -We had a good initial appointment and accommodations trying on multiple dresses. However, after purchase and closer review of there contract language- I realized we were in a manipulative and impossible contract. They charge hefty fees for alterations- mind you they did not measure length as part of the original measurements and said they all come standard length. Then charge over 200 for alterations. There were small runs in the material upon the dress arriving and noted the dress as "damaged" and would need to order a whole new dress versus it being fixed and could not guarantee the replacement dress would be delivered on time for the event. Our only option was to take the dress as is and get 50 dollars off alterations for the length. No discount on the damaged dress that we paid over 2,000 for with other fees for alterations!!! We asked to speak to the Owner and were told " they could not provide this information." I will never shop here again and don't recommend it. read more

I went to get a dress for my nieces Senior prom and she found one she liked here so I bought it for her and paid up front for alterations. When I asked for a discount on the dress because it had been out on the floor they went into a back room and discussed it with the manager they came out rolling their eyes and making comments about me then gave me a slight discount. My niece took it to get altered and the asked for 25 dollars more because they said they had to do a rush. They said nothing to me about this. My niece tried calling them to see if the dress was ready but they said they were too busy to check. This place is very shady and such bad customer service. In response to your excuses and reasonings, I find it ridiculous how you actually blame the corona virus in receiving a dress that did not match what you had in display. My daughters dress was ordered on January 4th 2020, and I was informed you guys received it the 2nd week of February meaning it was in route when the CDC announced a public emergency on Jan 31, 2020, there was no reason why the company had to use different material at that time, and the second time ordered on February 17th still does not match the display dress. You were not reaching out to us my husband and i were the ones reachin out to you we only got the call to set up an appt... Yes i was happy the dress was good and glittery BUT keep in mind it's still an off color that we did not choose and because its only 1 month away i had no other choice than to take it as is... and a piece of advice if a 14 year old tells you she felt uncomfortable with one of your workers take it into consideration instead of making excuses for them and dont address the issue with the 14 year old discuss it with the parents, you looked very immature trying to argue with a 14 year old. Sharia helped us with the final fitting and alterations. She was so pleasant and took in every detail for any alterations or beading that needed to be done. She took her time and was very patient. Elegant Bride and Quinceanera Sells Overpriced dresses that will need alterations with ADDITIONAL costs . No in-house seamstress . Cassy was extremely unhelpful and condescending therefore we are stuck with this dress. Throw the whole store away Update : Kassy , I did not ask for it to be free . I said because you charged for alteration , which I did not agree with to give full refund but you refused . I called twenty min after purchase . You said you'll ONLY refund alteration. I came here 1 week before my event. I walked in and a girl went up to me and "Just so you know we close in 15 minutes. I said yeah I know. I'm just looking for accessories. I found a beautiful Shaw for only $15. Free Ironing. They called me on Monday your item is ready to be picked up. I thought WoW that was fast. I said I'll pick it up before my event Saturday. Another girl named Joanna was very friendly and helpful. 6:00 came and Joanna told the other gal you can clock out,I'll stay and help this customer. Thought this was nice. Joanna also suggested to bring my dress to try it on and then shop for accessories. Friday came,I came here 2 hours prior closing. Store was full with two quinceneras and their families and a nice girl named Cassey helped me . She was awesome! She made me feel confident in my choices. Never pressured me. She helped me zip up my dress and suggested I tied a belt to my dress I had purchased elsewhere to add a glam touch. She said "I wished I would of been here to help you find a dress for you. I mentioned I had bought it far away and 2 hours was not enough to time for me to shop.Next time she said. Thought that was so nice. You dont get that kind of service at the Macy's. I will be recommending my friends and family here. I did look through the dresses and prices seemed very affordable compare to other places I've gone to in Town. This store has excellent customer service as the staff went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was happy and satisfied with her dress for prom. Originally the size we ordered ended up being out of stock but they made it work by altering a smaller size with a corset to fit her bust size. They did this for no charge and treated her like a princess in the process. Cassie was AMAZING!!! She is hard working and really goes out of her way to make you feel as good about yourself as she can! She picked dresses I never thought I would like, and it blew my mind at how good they looked on me- she dressed me for my shape in the best way possible. There is just a special time in a woman's life when she is finding a wedding dress. My sister , myself, and our mom showed up on a busy Saturday without an appointment and we were still helped as much as possible. There was two other large parties there and my sister still got great help and attention and actually found her wedding dress! Kassy is so amazing. She devoted most of her time to helping my sister accessorize and even lace up some dresses we were trying on her. My sister lives in Texas so buying a dress on Saturday and coming in for a fitting on a Monday and getting the dress before closing on Monday is so rushed. But kassy totally understood my sister leaves Tuesday and needs the dress in person or needs it shipped. We've come here before for MY prom dress in 2010 as well. All I can say is even if you buy nothing here , as long as you're in the store you are their client and will be treated with respect and care. Bad Customer Service, I waited 1 hour to be helped and when it was my turn they kept walking away to help others. I ordered a dress it took 4 months to arrive. I then got a phone call that I had storage fee's to be paid and my dress has arrived. I went the following day and spoke to someone that claims she is a store manager very rude with a snobby attitude, I let her know nobody called me...
