Thy - Oceanic Flowers, was the vendor/ supplier of floral arrangements for our wedding. She is one of our venue's preferred vendors, and although she was provided to us, we had the ability to look elsewhere if need be. We did not have to look elsewhere. While we did not enjoy what some of the preferred vendors our venue provided, we definitely loved and appreciated what Thy offered and provided - better yet, we were in awe with what she delivered! Thy made things incredibly easy for us from break down of costs, what our package did or did not include, an expansive knowledge of flowers according to color to suit the needs of our (gothic) theme as well as anyone else's as seen on her Instagram/ portfolio, and as a character and business owner, she is friendly, welcoming, communicative, and very accommodating. To add to her ability to accommodate, we experienced a sudden passing right before the wedding, and the funeral was to take place on the same day. I got married on March 8, 2025 at Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA. I was on the Disneyland Wedding Facebook page and saw a lot of brides recommend Oceanic Flowers so I booked a consultation. Thy was SO friendly and she is very flexible. She can work with any budget you have and will make sure your vision comes to life. I am not very familiar with flowers so I had no idea what kind of flowers I wanted for my wedding or what colors I wanted. This was the recommend florist for our Wedgewood wedding in San Clemente, and unfortunately we did not have a great experience. We had several calls, emails and photos to obtain the final inspiration. After be assured that our vision would be realized $800 for the deposit and $300 for a in person session to view the table center pieces, we cannot help to believe that we had been deceived. Or wedding theme is very tropical/Hawaiian inspired with bright oranges, magenta, reds and yellows. However that is not what was delivered in our meeting. We did get flowers in our display that were never listed such as roses and pincushions, the bird of paradise that was included was wilted, the red ginger was on its last legs and overall was so far off from what we had wasted so much time on discussion that we had no choice but to ensure that our disappointment was known. After we emailed our concerns to the owner, rather than addressing our concerns or apologizing for anything we had addressed she simply quit on us. We asked for pricing on flowers to make accurate decisions and we were not given that, she did not offer for us to keep the display and will most likely try to use these florals for someone else. We did inform her that we were running a few minutes late to the meeting but after paying for the session we were rushed out because she had a delivery and were not given adequate time to address our concerns. We were ten minutes late because she canceled on us last minute the week before and had prior engagement that we had committed to already. We did not want to fire her since we had put in around $1K for nothing so far and she quit taking our money with her with no offer to return the $800 for booking. The stands that we were paying extra for was also not present for the meeting, and she claims that we had never discussed the gold stands but we have photos that she sent to us specifically because we wanted to use them. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS VENUE, I WILL NOT SAY THAT SHE IS TERRIBLE, BECAUSE THERE ARE GOOD PICTURES ONLINE, BUT WHAT WE WERE PRESENTED WITH WAS NOT WORTH OF a $5K PAYMENT THAT SHE HAD QUOTED US FOR. During my hunt, I came across several florists that had great portfolios, but with each interview, I found that none of them were a good match, especially with flexibility and pricing. I am a perfectionist and I know my blooms, so I'm not the easiest person to please when it comes down to product and execution, but somehow, Thy managed to take the worries off my shoulders; she really demonstrated that she understood my unique vision and offbeat style. My theme: vampy, glam, rustic, autumnal with "foodie" touches. I wanted a large cascading bridal bouquet full of dark berry-tone colors, dripping with unusual flowers and textures, fall fruit,vegetables and tied with black satin & ribbon; I wanted my flowers to make a bold statement. I had no idea firm idea of what I wanted for my wedding other than some random pins on pinterest, a general color scheme, and a budget of about 1,000-2,000. For many of you planning a wedding, I'm sure you realize that is a very tight budget, but Thy worked with me every step of the way to create arrangements I was happy with and that fit my budget. I think the things that really set her apart from the numerous other quotes I got were: 1. Flexibility: I was attempting to plan the wedding from Minnesota, where I was going to school, and she went the extra step including face-timing with me to get a better idea of what flowers I wanted. We never met in person until the month before the wedding and she was always able to work with my schedule, even arranging to get pillar rentals last minute for the ceremony. 2. Once I took a look at their website, it seemed that the arrangements they made were up to par as well! I reached out and Thy responded back very quickly. From the beginning, Thy is so great with being responsive and giving you the time you need to talk through you dream wedding flowers. I was so nervous about have the perfect look, and Thy was happy to make appointments with me and explain anything I needed. She offers examples via pictures, color samples, and anything else she has on hand. She is also willing to do a mock arrangement at bridal expos she will be attending. Thy ended up making arrangements for my church ceremony location, bridal party, reception cocktail area and main area, and even the flowers on my cake (my favorite part!). I can't believe the amount of work she put into it. Through it all, she was able to give me a realistic expectation for colors and explained how photo edits altered the true flower colors I was looking for- so not only does she want to give you what you want, but she educates you in the process and does everything possible to make sure you are not disappointed. In the end, the arrangements had some surprises for me in that it wasn't exactly what I pictured in my mind.
