I Walked in today without an appointment. I was greeted right away and was sat in a chair right away as well. I was coming in for a full set and pedicure. Massage chair was started for me. They made sure to open the drink holder for you to get up and even walk you to your next seat. Usually other place will be like "go to chair #4" but they take the time to walk you. I got Erik today. He did my pedicure and full set. Overall a great experience, I'm not very talkative and he did not push for it as well. Coming from California, bad having tried many nail techs I will say he did my best set here in SOMD. No chunky acrylic, no super glue leaking out and overlayed acrylic. It was our first time patronizing this business and let's just say looks are deceiving . It's very luxurious inside and the people are fairly nice but skill set isn't up to par. Only spoke English when it was convenient for them. Services are fairly expensive for trade school level of perfection. The pedicure was horrible. I asked for square nails and they were all different lengths and on a slope! At one point I took the file from her and evened my right foot myself. Poor job one cutting the cuticles, over polished my toenails and eventually another tech came over who was slightly better. The manicure let's just say my 14 year old granddaughter could've done a better job. I had long nails and the tech filed them down to almost nothing and they are all different shapes. My husband doesn't like confrontation so he asked me to let them finish and we'll never go back. Two hundred dollars later for my husband & I and the gall of the tech to ask for a tip. (Now you speak English ‍) The tip is train your employees better and be nicer to your customers. The nail in the coffin was they were rushing to leave because their incompetent techs (3) couldn't get the service correct. My husband hand a mani & pedi as well and it was terrible as well. He said the massage was good and I can agree to that as well. I wish them well and we will never patronize them ever again. Just moved to the area and needed to find a new salon, and I'm happy to say I have found my spot. Johnny did my full set and pedicure and both came out exactly how I wanted. They had good music playing ( for a younger crowd which I loved) it wasn't the typical instrumental music I normally hear. My boyfriend also got a pedicure and was happy with how they handled his working feet . They had very good attention to detail and made sure we were happy with our experience. I also have never had the dissolvable soap shapes which was a fun touch to the pedicure experience. We got the elegant pedicure and it smelled absolutely amazing. Everybody was super nice and welcoming. It is a little more expensive that what I'm use to but I was in a different state with a lower cost of living than Maryland. I got a basic pedicure and asked for regular polish. The lady said ok and put the polish back. They started to talk to her and she pick up the gel polish and put it on after I said no. My mother and I went in to Elegant Nails for pedicures this afternoon. My wedding is in a few days, and the nail technicians certainly gave us the royal treatment! They were friendly and attentive, and the sugar scrub spa treatment was a nice treat. The salon was bright and clean, they had tons of chairs and socially distanced manicure stations, and when we went early in the afternoon we were the only customers there! We did have to wear masks, but it was a small price to pay for their wonderful service. Also, my mother said the bathroom was nice and clean and it was nice to be able to use it while we were there! This used to be my favorite place until last week. Me and my friend have been so loyal to this place but upon getting a gel shellac manicure, both of our cuticles were not cleaned up or even touched. My polish is already chipping and the nail polish they used was literally on its last drops. I actually had to ask the nail technician to add another layer to my gel polish because it had streaks...that gives you an idea of how much was left of the nail polish color. Everyone was very nice. My fiance had a nice pedi and manicure. He had Nina. I, on the other hand, had Sonny. He hurt my legs massaging so hard. Cut my big toe cuticle so it hurts to walk. It's looking infected. On my manicure, he cut 4 fingers back so far on my cuticle that they bled. They are sore and inflamed, in spite of soaking in alcohol and Neosporin. I'm very concerned about these injuries, and infection. I've had a few manicures before, and never had this problem, thankfully. This was my first and LAST pedicure. If I don't lose my toe, from infection, I'll just be thankful. I get married in 2 weeks, and will go somewhere for my manicure that I've been before who didn't injure me.
