The owner of business did my nails, she was on the phone the whole time, and LOUD, which I find disrespectful. She was moving so fast that I had to stop her a couple of times to have her correct things. I started coming here with my mom and we both end up with nail fungus twice. Never once did she have us wash our hands from start to finish but other nail salons do! Lastly, I wanted a simple rose design on my ring fingers, when she finished it looked like a glop of paint. I decided to try this place out based on reviews on another site, I should've gone by the Yelp reviews. I was looking for somewhere to go temporarily as my nail tech who works at another salon is on an extended vacation. I walked in right at opening and only one person was working. The woman working wrapped my fingers to soak off the dip powder and then started on someone's pedicure. I sat for about 25 minutes until someone else arrived, she was nice but rushed through it and my nails don't look great. The dip powder is thick and my nails are filed unevenly and she barley touched my cuticles, some she actually didn't touch at all. She was also very rough and it was painful at times. To be fair, they're not awful but they could be a lot better and I didn't speak up which was my fault. The salon was also a mess on the inside which makes me question their sanitation procedures. read more

This was the absolute worst service I have ever received. I booked an appointment for my mother sister and myself for pedicures and manicures. My appointment was scheduled for 1 PM. Our pedicures were completed but we were left waiting for two hours while they serviced many other clients that were walk ins. We ended up leaving without manicures. Since we simply could not wait any longer. Unfortunately they were understaffed and overspread. If they were unable to perform the task they should have stopped accepting walk ins or advised us that they were too busy when we scheduled the appointment. I will not be returning. After simply asking the lady in the NICEST way possible, how much longer. she started telling me if I didn't have an appointment I could just Go. If I could give this business zero stars I would. They have people in there who are not even licensed. They will charge you more for services if you make any complaint of what you don't like. They are all rude, you could barely understand them, and after telling them my friend and I only wanted the simple $30 pedicure, they did a callus remover which neither of us asked for or was asked if we wanted. They have a dog running around which I had to remove my shoes from the floor because it kept licking and biting at them. I have about 6 layers of policy on my feet, I told them not to use the scrub because I have sensitive skin but they used it anyway, they put a burning hot towel on me without warning. Mind you, their pedicure list on gave the name and price, not a description. For my friend, a new person had notes sitting next to her. If she is licensed I'm so confused at why she needs notes. She kept getting polish all over her toes and and hitting her toes with the curing light when my friend repeatedly expressed her disliking and concerns, another person intervened and did her pedicure. She then was not putting polish on the whole nail, she put 8 layers of polish and top coat to where it was already lifting, and when my friend pointed this out, the lady smacked her hand and told her "no you stay I'll fix it, you're fine, I'm not done" after 8 layers, you're not done? And when my friend said she's done and wanted to leaving, this lady ripped off the toes dividers and chiseled her polish off. Which came RIGHT off, it should be that easy to take off gel. Police were called by them after the owner said he would pay, and my friend refused to pay because of how awful of an experience this was and the constant of the services not being communicated to us. read more

I don't usually right a review but I thought to share my experience at this nail salon. We were greeted as soon as we enter the door and I told them we would like to get a full set with gel nail polish. Me and my daughter were brought back just to seat and wait for about 30 minutes. The staff keep telling me it won't be a long wait. So It was my turn and I have told the staff how I want my nails done. She said no problem. When it's time for sizing the nail I said the length I like. She made it too short, thick and uneven I brought it to her attention multiple time she answered me it's ok don't worry every time. On top of that she hurt the side of my nails.I was starting to get irritated coz my concerns are not taken seriously. First time at this establishment and I was not impressed, unfortunately. I went for a pedicure and was rushed back, not even able to pick out a nail color before going back. Once back, I was handed a book to choose which pedicure I wanted. I made my selection and the lady kept after me to upgrade. She told me that it was an old pedicure I selected. (Why is it an option in the booklet then). I was then asked if I wanted gel nails. I did not. I get the standard color because I get a pedicure quite often. She kept pushing the gel. I went to this establishment to get a full set which was 71 dollars (i didn't get a design or anything) and after 20 days I soaked off and drilled off the acrylic powder it's been 2 weeks since I did that and my nails are still STAINED with whatever Bebe put on them and they won't fade or come off. She didn't even warn me that the acrylic she used would stain my nails and I've never seen this happen to before! This was my first visit to World #1 Nails and Spa and I was so pleasantly surprised. I had dip powder on natural nails done. I made an appt online for next day availability. Cindy Helped me and she was phenomenal. When I arrived I was greeted right away by super friendly Cindy and she showed me how to check in on their system. I was taken right back and offered a water. The options for dip powder colors were amazing. I was so excited to see so many options to choose from. The salon was very clean and organized and had a very calm and relaxing vibe. My nails turned out great. And I will be returning to this salon for my repeat nail needs. I was going to a competitor salon down the road for a while and was tired of the rush job feel and having to wait even when I had an appointment. So I took a chance on World #1 and I am so glad I did. Don't let the quiet shopping center detour you. This nail salon is A+. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give zero stars, I would! My husband surprised me with an afternoon of pampering with scheduling an appointment with Bi for a premium gel manicure, premium pedicure, and an eyebrow wax. When I first arrived, they provided me with multiple reasons why Bi was unable to assist me and told me that I would be seen by another technician. I was assisted by two different technicians for nails and toes (completed at the same time). I was indecisive about the color and design of my nails, and they were not much help when I asked for other ideas. Every picture I showed them they stated that they could not complete them unless I paid for them to put tips on. They also criticized my color choices saying that I was too white or not black. They even went so far as to tell me that I had fat fingers. I did not like the color that was eventually forced upon me by the technician, and when I spoke up, they disregarded my feelings and wouldn't listen when I asked for it to be changed. I now have Christmas nails even though we are nearing Halloween. They also added an additional butterfly design (AT AN ADDITIONAL COST) to my toes that I didn't ask and does not match the color of the nails. They rushed and all services were completed in an hour. I didn't even receive the scrub that was supposed to be included both the premium manicure and pedicure. I did not receive what I paid for! I also have polish on my skin surrounding my nails and toenails, which cannot be removed with acetone. The only good thing about this appointment was the eyebrow service. I also posted a review on google, and the salon personnel responded with ugly and derogatory remarks that were completely untrue and unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I recently tried this nail salon, as my usual spot in PG county, is still closed due to COVID. It came highly recommended by a friend of mine. I made appointments for me and sister in law, and we decided that since we were coming out of quarantine, let's make a day of it. Nails, pedicures, facials, massages; the whole deal! We were greeted right away and we both noted how nice the salon looked. We waited a few minutes past our appointment time, but that's no big deal. Anthony really did do a beautiful job on my nails, he was super duper friendly, and I loved his dog! However when we were getting pedicures things went down hill. I was informed that the people who handle massages and facials were not in that day. I asked how come no one called me ahead of time to inform me that, that could have changed my mind on whole thing (or I could of Atleast upgraded my pedicure) ... she told me it's not a requirement for them to get in touch with customers about changes in appointments even if it is employee related. She asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said no. And then she asked me why?! Uhm because I said so?! And if that person doesn't show up that day either, it's not like they're gonna call me to let me know. The pedicure was honestly less than average. Little oil & lotion, nail trim, and that's it. But not having a pedicure in 3 months, something was better than nothing. I asked someone else to wax my eyebrows and she said she absolutely could and I was next. When I saw the girl in front of me walk out from the room, I was expecting it to be my turn, obviously. She then comes out and gets shitty about me trying to jump the line. Uhhhh I wasn't aware there was a line? I guess I just assumed I was next in line by what she said. So I went ahead and payed for my services, including eyebrows. $180 y'all!!! I said "for what"?! She told me the dip powered, ombré with 3D nail art and rhinestones costed $130. Now I'm not one to be cheap, I'll pay. But Anthony didn't do anything my other girl can't, and I never pay more that $100 for nails, toes & eyebrows. But whatever, can't take it back now so I pay. After waiting "in line" for 30 minutes to have my eyebrows waxed, I was done. I asked for my $10 back, forfeited my place in line and left. Unfortunately I probably won't be back. Even tho it wasn't awful, it wasn't good enough to drive an hour for over priced services and less than satisfactory customer service. I went in around 3:00 and no one was there but me. The staff were so welcoming "all saying hello and goodbye". I had a pedicure with the paraffin wax and I was so happy with the results. The gentleman did such a great job and he wasn't rushed to get my pedicure done and over with (as I usually feel when I go to other places). He took his time (you're probably thinking because I was the only person there... but I've been there one other time and I was treated the same way). Terrible job each time I go there. Have had to go back within a week of each refill of acrylic nails multiple times because they break off by doing something as simple as putting socks on or scratching my thighs. Nails are never even in shape,nails are painted worse than a two year old and you have to constantly point out mistakes to nail techs. Techs are rude when you come in for a fix and rough with your hands,nails and cuticles and act like they're doing you a favor by fixing a nail they did poorly. I've been several times since they were new/open and Anthony always did a great job and is skilled as far as design ext. However, this last time was less than desirable. The week before we did pedicures which were good but the gel polish chipped off my friends because it was put on too thick. So we come in the next week being this last week to do my nails and her feet again plus brows for her. I did not get what I asked for after redirecting and just was aggravated so let it go (see pic, color was to change nope). They were shaped down too far which I did not want, now too short. Plus they used the dip as they would acrylic so there is no base and I'd be forced to have it all taken off to be redone and for $65 ummm no. Second the pedicure for my friend was ok but again peeled off from the gel two days later and she waited 25 minutes before she could get her eyebrows waxed and it looked no different than when she went in. We spend like $150-$200 consistently so i expect to get what I pay for. Lastly, it appears the quality has gone down and is rushed because it's a newer hopping store.
