I came in for a regular pedicure and not only was the pedicure super rushed. I didn't get a massage, the lady had a terrible attitude while servicing me trying to get done ASAP and skipping steps. They didn't honor their policies and I received a hostile attitude from everyone in the establishment for saying that the pedicure was rushed. They didn't even put nail polish on my entire toes. They redid them with attitude and i had 5 workers pass by them being redone making remarks. their prices are the same as everywhere else I would go somewhere that actually knows what a quality pedicure is. this establishment clearly doesn't know how to do business read more

Avoid this place. If I could give a 0 I would. They improperly cut askin around your toe nails and will make you bleed a lot during pedicure and possible infection. They left my toe INFECTED because they ripped out a lot of skin without asking. They do NOT change the bags after pedicures. New to the area and needed a mani/pedi for a trip. Elegant Nails was nearby and some neighbors go there. Pedicure was just ok. The two big toes looked sloppy. I cleaned up the edges when I got home. He did however shaped the toenails nicely. Then the Manicure: I asked to keep my natural nails and to keep them short. He struggled with the shape of my nails. I tried to explain how I didn't like the shape but he made it worst so I said ok leave it. I didn't want him to keep filing them down. They were short enough. I asked the guy if he could do a design and showed him a picture. It was 3 rhinestones to make the shape of a Mickey and a snowflake. He said yes and took a picture of what I wanted. I said ok great I just want the rhinestones to be green. He said yes. I'm assuming he didn't understand what I said or maybe didn't hear me correctly because when it was time for the art he took out glitter nail polish not rhinestones. I thought ok maybe he's got a better idea. That was not the case. Later I realized he zoomed in on the pic and it looked like it was polish so now I understand why he was using the green sparkly polish. Anyway, it looked super messy like goop on a nail. I wish I had taken a picture. So he tried again and it was just not right. I had him take it off. He said no problem and started to remove the green. A young lady stopped by to ask if I wanted the design like the pic, I said no thank you. I said no because it was clear that the guy couldn't do it which was fine. It is what it is. So he takes off the cured glitter mess (luckily it was only on two nails) and has to redo the basic color. Sadly he messed up the basic color. I tried telling him that there was fuzz on the nail but he just continued. The same young lady said something to him and pointed at my nail then he started redoing the nail. He then asked me if I was sure that I didn't want a design and I said no. To be honest I was afraid he'd mess up again. So no thank you. I paid and tipped then ran out of there. I should've been more vocal but didn't want to fuss. That was on me. I was looking forward to getting my nails done and was very disappointed. The place looked pretty clean. The tools were sprayed with what looked like alcohol. Not sure. Not sure how they sanitize their tools. I should've asked. Went to get a pedicure this week, an older woman did it and she dug at my toes so hard she made them all bleed. She kept throwing the basin water on them to get the blood off and then she went back to work on them, digging at them. No matter how much I winced or what I said made any difference. She was too busy talking to her friend to pay attention. This is the very first time in decades that I cannot wear gym shoes after a pedicure because my toes are so sore. I have come here on multiple occasions for the past 5 years. I keep giving them a chance and every time, they have made a mistake. 1. They DO NOT know how to do pedicures. The lady I got was older and does not have the best vision. On 3 occasions, I received nails that we're not fully painted. 2. During the pandemic, they are not cleaning! The lady who did my acrylics brushed all the dust off the table with her hands and kept touching her phone, mask AND answering calls. She never washed her hands. She sits at the first desk when you walk in. 3. They do not know how to do manicures. First, she didn't even ask what length I wanted and she cut 1 finger very short because of it. She used the drill bit on my bare nails and cuticles causing 2 fingers to bleed. She would not stop drilling my cuticles until I pulled back because it hurt so much. She also forgot to put a base coat!! At this point I was mad and just wanted to leave. My nails are uneven sizes and stick straight out when they're supposed to curve naturally at the end. From start to finish, she did my nails in 39 minutes... and they look horrible because she was so rushed. There's no line or customers waiting so I don't know why she was rough and rushed me. I just got home and realized my cuticles bleeding from how rough she was. Before I went in my nails were clean and my cuticles were not grown out. I'm very upset and will NEVER COME BACK. read more

To the point I get dizzy & can not wait around too long for them to take me. Last time they hurt me & dug into my skin through my nail bed as I still had acrylic on it. I moved to the area about 2 years ago and I really wanted to find a place that I felt comfortable with and to also support local businesses but I recently went and it was a slower day with not many people so I was hoping that I would get a good experience and for them to focus on what I usually like because I understand that sometimes it's really busy and they have to keep moving on to the next customer. However, this time was just bad. I had a really nice man and he was kind and made me feel comfortable while getting my pedicure, he just may have seemed new so I don't think he knew how to do every step and how to scrub off the dry skin and just cut and hurt my cuticles on top of not putting the nail polish on correctly. Then I went and got a full set and the lady that sits right by the register was just joking around and kept pausing to text or take phone calls and also when she filed down my nails she kept going so hard and filing my skin off. As I kept saying "Ouch" and pulling my hand back so she could get that it hurts.. she didn't even say sorry and still just kept talking to the other employees as well. As my nails were trying to dry off with the black light.. she just kept tapping her foot and it just felt so rushed. My nails also are all different shapes and sizes. She also took even longer because she kept being on her phone and not paying attention. The irritating part is when they expect a tip. I did tip of course but situations like this.. make people not want to tip. I really hope they step it up. I've seen that lady there multiple times but I've never had her before. If she's running this place then she needs to pay attention to training and how she does nails herself. I was really hoping to have my nails nice to go out of town but I regret paying over $100 when I could of just done them myself at home with press on nails and painting my own toes. Literally wasted 2 and half hours of my day. Quite honestly, my experience was that bad that I won't be coming back after being a patron for 2 years. Fill-in No Chip acrylics, done at station 3 (not sure of her name). She did a fantastic job, and did not mind that I told her to change some things as she was doing her job. Been coming here for a very long time, +6 years. The business has expanded and has gained many nail technicians over the years. The quality of the service depends on the time you go... if it is early and empty, the service is quality work. Later in the day, when there are a lot of people, the service is very, very rushed and the quality is a hit or a miss, depending on technician. Really fought with myself to post this but I feel like people need to know. I got my nails done 1.5 weeks ago and sent them a text saying my nails had literally started to chip and a couple were just falling off. This happened because when Lee did my acrylic overlay he cheaped out a little and put crazy glue between my nail and the old acrylic, I knew I should've said something but against my better judgement I did not. They responded to the text saying "comeback and I'll fix it", (btw it's usually about $90 WITH a $15 tip for both my manicure and pedicure). So i go back and he re-did my nails completely, two of which were a little lumpy but again I chose not to say anything. I also got a pedicure which was fine, nothing special, What I wasn't expecting was that when the bill came I also got billed for the complete price of my "nail repair" and then some because suddenly the total for both was $85.00. I asked the nail tech if I was seriously getting charged for the complete price of my nails and they said yes. I'm not the type of person to make a scene or argue about the amount so I literally just paid the bill, tipped the pedicure guy $5.00 and promised myself to always speak up about what "fix" means and also to just never ever go back. read more

I am not from Chicago so I was looking for a good nail salon while I was going to be here for a month. Worst $70 ever spent. I got them done the 10th and this is them today, 9/16. I broke the nail 2 days ago by lifting a tablet. I dont know how or what I did to get the top coat to come off and I hit something directly and it instantly lifted my nail. This was my first visit to elegant nails. My Goddaughter referred me to this business. I'm so glad I gave it a try!! This was the first time I ever tried the gel no chip nails and I just had the best experience. I also received a deluxe pedicure - and did I ever need it!! I'm a runner and am currently training for my third marathon. Needless to say, my feet were pretty beat up and the lady at the nail place not once made me feel bad about it! I have had bad experiences at other nail places but not this one!! She brought my feet back to its normal appearance haha and they feel super super soft! I recommend the deluxe pedicure to anyone who hasn't had a pedicure in a very long time!!! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed! read more

This place seems okay hygienic wise, employees are decent. I got a no chip manicure and the polish on one nail started lifting the same night. Now 2 days later the polish is lifting on 6 nails. I noticed they don't cover the whole nail with the foundation so that may be the issue. This happened with a couple different techs. I don't expect a hand massage from these places but it's so short not even sure why they include it with the manicure. It just consists of rubbing lotion on ones hands. I wouldn't recommend this establishment for a no chip on bare nails. I seen some other girls getting acrylics done that looked pretty good though. I won't be back. read more

If you are looking for a place that does SNS dipping and the application is done well then this is a good place to go to in the city of Chicago. I got the pink and white SNS dipping and it was amazing! I've been to a few places in the city and out in Oak Brook and I must say I'm super happy to finally find a place who knows how to do SNS dipping. Now don't expect a spa like treatment. My pedicure was done way too fast. The nail tech who did my feet did not take her time, she was a bit aggressive, and I never got the opportunity to relax during my pedicure because it was over with after 10-15 minutes. Luckily for me the application of the nail polish on my feet turnt out alright. I would have liked more interaction, better communication (her English wasn't the best so we couldn't understand one another very well), and a little more tender/care in my feet. Lastly, they do not have complimentary wine but does serve water. Apparently Chicago isn't supplying anymore liquor license therefore they are unable to serve alcohol. Overall 3 stars because I love my nails but my pedicure could have been better. read more

I came here for a no chip ($35) after a few girls from work came here and liked it. I have passed by this place before but was unsure how good of a place it was. I can walk here on my break and get my nails done! Perfect! The nail lady wasn't overly friendly at first, just talking with the other employees but eventually she made more conversation with me. She was pretty fast and they look good so far. They have a HUGE selection of no-chip colors! The lady asked if I wanted my brows waxed also but I declined. She told me it was $10, which isn't too bad. On my way out, I noticed the large amount of pedi chairs available.
